I had tap/faucet trouble. They were leaking around the handles when on and dripping all over the bathroom floor. Drove my wife mad. I had numerous visits to the store and Ken, one of there friendly staff helped me so that eventually I only spent 6 bucks on rubber O rings rather than 34 bucks on new tap insides. That's the kinda help need. Thanks.

Building desk staff are extremely rude, cahiers are good. 9 out of 10 times I leave feeling ripped off. Then you get to wait in the lumber yard for 30 to 45 minutes to get supplies. Now I shop at Maglio down the road. It's cheaper, way better/ friendly staff, and you get your lumber quickly.

Selection was there but when my father asked an employee where the ladders are as we've now noticably walked the entire store looking already and he gets answered with "outside" and then the guy looking away again, it hurts a bit I had to come around the corner to see that that just happened he saw my face and kinda added more information but sorry dude that wasn't very good customer service. We come to spend our money on your product please don't be disrespectful. So after my father then leaves to wait outside I go to pay for my stuff before going to look outside the 3 cashiers are talking I gesture where do I go and get "other side" from one of them. I felt like just leaving the stuff I grabbed there for her to put away and going. I reluctantly paid and we didn't bother looking in the yard for ladders. So yeah thanks for that...

Usually pretty good service but the last couple of times I spoke to the same guy (coincidentally) about getting a price for a pre-hung, internal door. He spoke to me like I had no clue. Two weeks later, still no price. I've since bought and installed a door from their competitor who were able to give me a price on the spot and had doors in stock.

Price may be higher than some other local chains but the knowledge you get here make the few dollars more worth it for me.

The most rude and unhelpfully staff I have ever experience. I was denied service and told to "get out of hear now"when I requested a sheet of plywood to be cut in 4 to make shelves. The staff was rude and condescending. This Home hardware is not interested in helping people.

Very disappointed with our recent customer experience at Trail home hardware. We have been long-time customers with them, but are now re-considering this. We ordered roofing supplies for our home building project, and, as we are not experts, we told the Home hardware staff the size and pitches of the roof portions that we needed materials for and the staff, who I will say were very helpful in this process calculated the materials we needed to order for us. However, we ended up being short of materials we needed to install the roof on two separate occasions which caused unnecessary delays in getting our roof complete before the weather changed not once, but twice. The first instance was where Home hardware ordered us only about a quarter of the total screws required to fasten our tin roof down, which we confirmed by calling the manufacturer directly. The second instance was after we got the roof part way installed we realized we didn't have enough transition pieces between the different roof pitches, sections which Home hardware staff were readily aware of the dimensions and sizes of. When we contacted the store manager we were informed that they could order us more pieces, but there is nothing they could do as we were the ones who "didn't order enough." While that could possibly be an acceptable answer to a roofing contractor who deals with such things on a regular basis, it is not acceptable to a home owner who is using Home hardware as the middle-man between them and the manufacturer and in this process are forced to trust the knowledge of Home Hardware staff. In the end we ended up purchasing the needed pieces from a different local company and I cannot at this time say whether we will be dealing with Home Hardware in Trail again for our building needs.

Poor customer service, BBQ parts were not as described. Box was damaged, also they would not directly call Weber to get the proper parts for me. I had to do that myself. Weber however has very professional staff and sent me the right parts overnight shipping for free.

I hope my wet plywood flattens out! I'm sure they can figure out how to store plywood inside a building. Didn't work so well...screws are starting to come through! Dry your wood out very well!! I did't let mine dry out enough!

The staff here are great, knowledgeable in basically everything and have great suggestions/ideas for your building projects, lots of tools for either building or your gardening jobs. Their paint department has everything you would ever need and if they don’t have a product or tool, they can either order it for you or direct you where you can possibly find it in the greater Trail area.
