The air and water are so clean here. Very picturesque scenery. If you're headed up to Thompson, should definitely come out and see what there is to see.

The "lakeview" campground had a gorgeous view, plenty of privacy from your neighbors and the non-modern toilets were clean and well kept. A fair warning though, the mosquitos were atrocious. I mostly just used my time here as a parking pad to sleep for a night. There will definitely be a next time though and I'll have to spend more time exploring the park and make a point to visit the restaurant.

Paint lake is a beautiful place ????The fresh air, greenery the tall tree's, and the view from many different places makes it breathtaking. Paint lake is an excellent choice to visit on a beautiful sunny day????

Helpful campground attendant. The park was very small, there was only one short trail to walk but lots of nearby boating and fishing. Beautiful view from the yurts!

Very nice place, but can be busy as it is close to Thompson. Has modern washrooms, showers, yurts, beach, marina. Could see northern lights from my campsite at night. Morning fog reminds us of why this area is called Mystery Lake.

Great time of fishing. Very small fish, overfished perhaps, but not what it was 30 years ago. Fish cleaning shack well maintained.

Unfortunately heavy rains during early July had flooded much of the area. The water system was overwhelmed so all modern washrooms and showers were closed. This was especially disappointing when we drove past the beautiful and new facilities. Most of the beaches had also disappeared with the high water. We'll definitely be back as you could see the potential of the park.

Beautiful campground; well maintained. We also experienced the lack of running water but there were tanks of water available with boiling precautions in effect. Sites are a nice size for all types of camping and pretty private. Marina close by offers lots of fishing supplies and has a restaurant. And the bugs weren't too bad last night!

Beautiful place, but when we were there (July 2020) the mosquitoes were atrocious, the beach and harbour were flooded and the clean water wasn't working (because of the flooding). They jumped on it and provided a water trailer in good time. All these problems weren't the fault of anyone, so that's why I give it a 4, but be prepped for bugs, and more bugs that just don't quit, even with repellent. We were literally breathing them in when trying to bike in the rain. We were in a yurt which was a lot of fun. There's little underbrush, so you can see through the trees to your neighbours, but there's enough space between that's it's not like your looking in their window. Absolutely beautiful lake with many bays and islands to explore!

Paint Lake Provincial Park offers numerous activities in the northern nature such as boating and camping. It's certainly worth a detour and especially the area around the main building is a great place for taking some stunning pictures.

A real pretty park. I had been told over the years that the northern insects were not bad there. 2.5 days spent and didn't need bug spray. Worth visiting. Nice camp sites.

Best campground ever. Time to join 2019. Time for wifi. No one minds paying more for wifi. Travelled all over Canada and the USA - 80% of campgrounds have wifi... National, provincial... please- its expensive to set up yes, but again- most people see the added value.

The people here are the nicest people ever. The lodge is the best place for coffee, pie and drinks. The lake is beautiful as well.

Wonderful provincial park in northern Manitoba! Beautiful scenery! We had a great camping spot in the “lakeview” camping area. There were bugs which is to be expected in northern MB, but with some Off we managed just fine. Bathroom amenities are great in the main camping area and include pay-showers.
