We got two quotes from two different businesses for refinishing our floors. One was for sanding the entire area. It would take 8 days, we’d have to move our entire furniture and stay else where during the duration. Our second quote was with Nhance. Sounded too good to be true. It was a tad cheaper (not a lot), required no sanding, only takes 2 days, we’d just have to move our furniture over to one side of the room one day and move it over to the other side the next and the products were environmentally friendly. Bam that’s it? It was a no brainer.
We have a couple spots that the finish has came off which the fella said he could fix no problem.
Pros: our floors do look better than it did
Cons: it took TWO WEEKS! Including some weekend work. We have two dogs, we sent them away the first two days since that’s all we were told it would take so the dog hair wouldn’t get in the way. Unfortunately we could not send them away for two weeks. The fella said we didn’t have to since he would be constantly cleaning but that didn’t happen because now we have our dogs hair permanently stuck in our new floors now. Most of it isn’t noticeable but they’re a few chunks that stand out. Also he was very sloppy when it came to cutting around areas especially around our fridge and oven. You can see the line where he stopped. Lastly the stain bought out all of our floor scratches and I find it all looks very blotchy but that’s probably from not having the floors redone for 20+ years. Some spots were alot more worn then others.
My overall option: Nhance would be really good if you just want a slight change in colour or just need a touch up. I wouldn’t recommend them if you need some actually work done. Go the sanding route. We’re $4000+ deep and regretting our decision
