Unfortunately my wife's Honda Pilot was in two accidents within the last 6 months of each other. We were extremely happy with Lore and Trevor's customer service, never mind their front-end staff. What started out to be a big headache of dealing with insurance companies, Sturgeon Autobody was able to turn the situations around as they have gone above and beyond what we had expected and have made both situations quite seamless. Hopefully we won't have to go back for obvious reasons but if we did, I would not hesitate to go back. I highly suggest that if your vehicle is in need of body repair, give them a call.

Ohhh where do I begin? I brought my car in to the shop on a Friday and was promised it would be looked at on Monday morning because they were extremely busy. Ok that's fine, I can understand that. I got no calls on Monday, then when I call them that day after it still hasn't been done! So finally on Wednesday my car is appraised and work is supposed to start the following day. I was promised I would have my car back the following Friday. Week goes by and I get zero calls, zero updates, nothing. So I assume everything is going well as I was assured these parts were easy to bring in. Call the shop on Thursday morning, one day before I'm supposed to pick up my car. A part is apparently on back order. Car wont be ready until Monday. I drive down to the shop on Monday morning and apparently they missed a dent, so that has to be repaired as well. Wont be ready until Friday. So its going to take double the amount of time promised to get my car back. So here's the kicker. After all that extra time it took to fix my car. They tried charging me thousands more for the repair than originally quoted. I knew something was up when I kept being asked "Is this going through insurance or are you paying out of pocket". Just don't go here.

Part 2 of 3 So I ended up calling back multiple times asking to speak with Larry, one of the owners. I would be told he was in the office and be put on hold, sometimes for over 10 minutes, then I would be told that he had just left. This happened multiple times and when I asked for him to call me or for a specific time that we could speak, they refused to do so. I was told I was unreasonable for expecting a pearl paint to be color matched, as I wanted a deal, when we had actually agreed on a good price because they got to keep my car as a side project for a whole month. So finally after multiple calls and emails, Allen told me to come in and talk to Lore, Larry’s son who’s another part owner. So I came in driving from the Southside of Edmonton, to talk to Lore about all the aforementioned issues. When asked, he couldn’t tell me why I paid the $210 for the bumper, insisted that I told them it was fine for the paint to not be color matched, he finally owned up to the possibility that they caused the chip on the back. I mentioned too how the clear coat has big drips marks on the ends of my door and he said that’s just how it’s supposed to look. By the end of our discussion he agreed to repaint the door and bumper, fixed the rubber, I told them not to worry about the insulation, that I would do it myself as I feared they would just throw it out and also agreed to repaint the bumper properly. Since it was already going to be back in there shop, I asked for them to quote me for how much it would cost to repaint and remove the rust on the bottom half of the rear door that wasn’t included in the original quote. I told him how I would only be able to give him 4 days as I needed my vehicle for work, he told me he could get it done in 3 days. So I came back for a second time to drop my vehicle off, giving them a chance to right their wrongs. The day that my vehicle was supposed to be done, I still hadn’t received a quote despite the fact that I had reached out to them again with no response. On the 4th day that I had said I needed my vehicle back at the latest, I emailed them again and Lore decided that the front fender was to be included include in the quote although this was something they were supposed to be repairing for free because of their mistakes. They quoted me at over $1000 for just the rear door, claiming they took it apart, and they also charged me more for paint for my rear door then they did for all of the paint in first quote. So I emailed them back saying not do the work as the quote was ridiculous, but they had already done the work and didn’t bother to send me the quote until after. I asked my girlfriend to come in with me when I went to pick up my vehicle so that I had someone else to witness the things they say. So we got there and we could see my car parked in the neighboring parking lot. The driver door now was a closer shade of white, but the paint had dripped down the door and was wavy. They didn’t repaint the trim so that remains a different color, they just painted over the old paint as I could see the clear coat run off from before as well as additional run off. They didn’t take my door off despite being charged for it as I have over spray in the door jam, plus they crazy glued my trim on rather then just buying $0.25 clips.

I bought a new truck from Ron Hodgson in St. Albert about a year ago and I ask for my fender flares to be painted white to match the truck.. the dealership pick the auto body shop and I was ok with that.. I found out where it was being done and wanted to see it before I picked up the truck from the dealership... They did a great job I know its hard to make paint to stick to fender flares but they did a great job... I had one little small(dollar size) paint come off and thought I would see if they would repair it... Well they did and the repainted all of them and fixed the rock chips in them... They didn’t have to do that at all and I was sooooo surprised with it tonight when I picked up my truck.... You guys are great Thank you so much for the work.... I’ve been trying to make time to get the truck in and it was almost a year later and you guys still fixed it.... Great job and I will be bringing my old custom truck to you to repaint this summer...

Had an excellent experience here. Carol was great to deal with and Lore was helpful throughout the process. They were even in the office for a couple hours on their day off, so I was able to grab my vehicle early. Looked brand new! Update 2020: Had to bring my vehicle here once again because someone decided to run into it... These folks are excellent and the vehicle is pristine . It was really clean when we took it back and the work was perfect. They worked with the insurance company and rental agency with no concern and provided many updates. Hopefully I don't have any more damages anytime soon, but it's a good experience when I do

Did a great job fixing up the car and gave us the cheapest estimate around. Also, car was detailed inside and out upon pickup. Only negative is that we got our washer fluid tank replaced and it was not filled up. If you have a remote starter, it may need to be reprogrammed after repairs as the car battery gets disconnected.

The experience was absolutely fantastic! After another driver ran into my 2019 Toyota truck, my doors would not latch, were completely crushed so it could not be driven for a long distance. I contacted Sturgeon Auto body who already had a rental vehicle waiting for me when I arrived to drop off my truck. Lore, Trevor and Larry took care of everything from start to finish. My Toyota truck had a delay in parts, but not due to Sturgeon, but a Canada wide Toyota parts shortage. With all of this, they bent over backwards, went beyond what they were contracted to do and brought parts in. Once I picked up my truck, the look was exactly like my brand new truck before it was hit. Color match was identical to the factory paint. Recommended by co-workers, I tried them for the first time today. My driver's door went out of adjustment and started leaking. With just a phone call 20 minutes prior to my arrival, I was told to swing by without an appointment. Greeted by friendly staff (including the dog), Lore had a quick look at my truck, took it to the back, adjusted it, brought it back out front to show me what they did and had me back on the road within 30 minutes. Dropped my car off to get some rear quarter panel work. Was told it would take one to two weeks to get done. I supplied the parts. Called three times to check on my car and was told it was being worked on. Dropped in last week and was told it would be done this week. Picked my car up today. They had it a month. They did not even touch my car. Zero work done. Lied to me for the last month. Asked for my keys and took my car. Very disappointing service.

Part 3 of 3 The trim that is supposed to press against the window had a big gap and later when I rolled my window down and then back up the trim now pops out because they broke part of it. That trim piece from Hyundai costs $95 and I will have to replace and reinstall it myself. Lore denied that any of this was their fault. Furthermore my newly painted rear door had dust bumps, and chips in the paint the day I picked it. The paint chip they made on the rear fender was fixed, but when they painted over my bumpers old paint they over sprayed in the wheel wells, and on to my tires. Same story for the front fender too. They also told me the $210 was for blow torch holes and that my car should not be on the road with that bumper even though I just hundreds to repaint, they decide now that’s it not safe. Also, this time around no one was willing to even go out to look at my car with me when I came to pick it up and told them that I was again shocked at the dismal job that was done. Instead Lore told me that he’ll move his quote from just over $1000 to $500 flat, which wasn’t even a deal since I was never supposed to be charged again for the fender and I had responded no to the work on the quote. When I told him that I never approved the work, he told me that I verbally did (although this was not the case. We had talked about what needed to be done but had never discussed a price as that was supposed to be included on the quote BEFORE the work was done) and that he could “do whatever he wanted”, and that is a direct quote. Furthermore at one point when we were arguing about the payment, he got up and walked out of the conversation and stood in a back room, and my girlfriend had to walk back to get him. Then he proceeded to tell me I was acting childish, and told me he made no money on the vehicle. Which is their fault they did not do it right from the beginning. He threatened to lock the car away car when I was continuing to argue the quote, but I needed it for work so I finally agreed to pay the $500. They gave me a bunch of paper work trying to get me to back sign for when I dropped it off saying that what ever work they did I was fine. Before I signed I asked my girlfriend if she could read the fine print as she studies law and Alan who had given me the paperwork was covering parts of the agreement with his hand. My girlfriend told him that she was not comfortable with me backdating and signing the drop off section and asked that he move his hand so she could read the rest of the agreement. He ripped the papers off the table and yelled at us that we can not have the car back unless we just cooperate and sign everything. She said to him that we have every right to read the forms that he’s trying to make us sign and at this point some other customers came into the shop and so the receptionist grabbed the papers back from him and told him to leave as he was making a scene. She let my girlfriend read everything over at which point she told the receptionist she still wasn’t comfortable with me signing the drop off section which the receptionist said was fine. It’s been four months since they did the work, and the paint on my rocker panel is chipping, my rear door they “fixed” the rust on is still rusted and again chipping the paint. I emailed Lore with all my concerns as they advertise lifetime warranty on the paint, and he told me they’d fix the rust but at this point you have to understand why I do not want to give them my vehicle as I fear that they will again charge me for work that I did not approve or do further damage to my vehicle. As well, Lore denied they ever touched the rocker panel, and he completely ignored my window trim concern. As time goes on I’m still finding shattered glass in my car from after I dropped it off the first time.

god awful experience We have a passenger seat covered in oil as one of their mechanics left an OPEN bottle of oil upside down on our seat and realized this when we picked the vehicle up. We have been getting the run around for over a month now and they say WE have to pay for a seat cover.... We have been patient and tried to work with them and now they don't want to make things right. Not only that, they did not put the bumper on correctly and that is also another issue we have to fight about. These guys are liars and will tell you what you want to hear to your face. GO TO BOYD instead.

I went to Sturgeon autobody only after a franchise autobody store in St. Albert which had done some work for me previously refused to even look at my car for a week. I was totally impressed with the staff and Lore who took the time to do an estimate the same day. These folks did a terrific job on my car and went above and beyond in their service. Nothing but the best from these guys. I was immediately taken care of the second I walked into the shop. After seeing the rust on my rear quarter panel they gave me a very reasonable quote on how much it would be to repair and repaint that quarter panel. I also had them do a ceramic coat, as my car is a black/blue it has always been hard to keep it looking clean and un scratched. After five days of work I got my vehicle back and I couldn't believe how good it looked, the paint was a perfect match and the ceramic made the car look like glass. I was so impressed with the customer service and how well done the work was I will for sure go back to Sturgeon Autobody and refer all of my friends.

The extremely thin POS windshield they used cracked almost immediately. They claimed it was rock chips, but they are only the smallest of pits that caused cracking across the entire windshield. Owner was rude when I brought this up, no restitution. Stay away!

As crooked and dishonest as they come. Improperly sprayed several thousand dollars worth of paint, and are trying to charge me for the misused product. Intially said the work would take 6 weeks. The vehicle has been there over a year and a half. Left the vehicles cab, interior and engine compartment exposed to the weather the entire time. Despite the passing of a ridiculous amount of time, and still failing to complete the work; they are trying to charge approximately 3 times what they quoted for the job. When I pointed out the fact that that the stripes they painted are noticably crooked, the owner responded with "It's good enough". The vehicle is also a revenue generating piece of equipment for my own business, which I havent been able to utilize. An absolute nightmare of a shop to deal with. The incompetence and complete disregard for the customer is off the charts. In over 20 years of dealing with commercial shops, I've never experienced anything as bad as this. Stay away. Check other recent reviews, plenty of people with similar complaints.

Driving tow truck for over 10 years I used to go in to Sturgeon quite a bit. One day when I needed a body shop, I took the advice of their previous customers and headed over there for a quote. Not only was I happy the numbers, but I was ecstatic with the quality of work that they stand behind 100%. Now, every time I need any work done this is where I go, I don't bother wasting time going shopping. I have recommended them to many and even though I am not towing anymore I will continue to put their name out there just simply because of their work and how well they treat their customers.
