The Carstars staff went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of and truly went above and beyond. Communication on the progress of the repairs could have been better - we do recognize that the replacement parts were slow in coming, but a simple regular notification that parts were delayed would have been easy to do

Not satisfied with my last transaction at the St.Albert location. Noticed a had a screw missing on my wheel well trim, it was removed and re-used on my mud flap. Secondly, I had asked for my old bumper back because there weren't much damage to it besides slightly bent, which I never got back. Picked up my vehicle and nobody even did a walk around with me. Not sure if the management has changed at this location, but I definitely noticed a decline in service.

I've waited about a month to write this review to make sure the work they did was done well. It certainly seems that it is great. I can't comment on the price because someone else's insurance paid for my repair. However, their communication and planning could use improvement. I contacted them in early January to replace my front bumper (2015 Nissan Versa Note). They told me it would take about 2 weeks to get the part. Fine, I made an appointment. In about a week and a half, they called me and told me they were having trouble getting the part and they wouldn't have it for several more weeks. Fine, I make a new appointment for late February. I am told that it will take 2 days to repair. In February, I bring it in. That day, I get an automated email saying my car is being repaired and will be done the following day. The next day, I get an automated email saying my car won't be done until the middle of the following week! I had to call them to find out what was going on. Turns out, even with an extra month, they got the wrong part but didn't bother to tell me other than through a vague, automated email. I asked them to call me first thing the next day for an update. To their credit, they did call me and got my car done the next business day. So, not a great experience, but the job appears to be quite well done. Also, although they screwed up, they did make me feel like they cared about me in the end by calling me as I asked. I would recommend taking your vehicle here, just beware that their time quotes may not be 100% accurate. If you can, get a rental!

ATTENTION ALL COMPANIES LOOKING TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM: Good luck receiving a payment from them. They are "always in meetings and unable to take your call" No matter how many times you call, you will never hear back from them. Beware of Esther (owner) if you are calling trying to collect some sort of payment from her, she can be extremely rude and is not willing to meet in the middle to work out a resolution. That being said, I hope they treat their customers much better than the companies in which they work with.

Did an amazing job on my 2016 Sienna! I was skeptical because it was a plastic bumper and they said they were going to sand it down and repaint, but it looks flawless, I cannot tell where the scratch was. Paint is a 100% exact match as well (special edition pearl white) Would highly recommend

First of all, there was a long wait to get an appointment - 6 weeks. I agreed to it because they are within walking distance to my home. Then the day before my car was to go in for repairs, they sent me a text saying "unforeseen circumstances" has caused them to cancel the appointment, and offer a date...three weeks later. Altogether, more than two months after the initial time of booking. I had an experience once before in which they messed up a repair job, due to lack of communication amongst their staff. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I tried them again this time. That is enough chances. I would give them zero stars if this allowed it.

Myranda Blunden was our appraiser for some side demage to our vehicle . She was personalable, knowledgeable & friendly to deal with. She went over the estimate & explained everything that needed to be done & why. I had earlier gone to "another body shop " in St. Albert & all he did was print out the quote & explained nothing to me. When I started asking questions, he appeared dis- interested in explaining things to me. I was a female & wondered if that, had something to do with it. It was definitely a more pleasurable experience to deal with Myranda; which was the deciding factor in going with Carstar. They also offered free pick up & drop off. The driver who picked us up and after, when the car was ready ,was also very nice. Aside from detailing the car outside, they even detailed the inside, which was a bonus ! The vehicle was also completed at the time they promised. All in all, awesome customer service from the start to the end.

I was rear ended in my new car in February and my insurance company used Car Star in St. Albert. What a wonderful company and the staff was excellent. Not only did they keep me updated on my car, they were friendly on the phone all the time and always checked on the status for me when I called in. I got my car back today after them having it for a month. I was in and out in about 5 min. My car looks brand new again and the inside was clean as a whistle. Great job everyone. Glad I found this shop. It just happened to be the shop I "googled" when I was in a collision in St.Albert, and needed a damage assessment for the police report. I was impressed by how efficient they were. Previous places I have had to leave my car for weeks on end. Not here. They said it would be done in 3 days and it was. I was also pleasantly surprised to find my car fully detailed and the complimentary water bottles inside! If I ever need autobody repairs again this is definitely where I will be bringing my vehicles for repair.

Went in with a pretty decent scratch, needed some buffing on the driver door and a new passenger. Took a week to even get a quote back, and when I did I just laughed. 950 for parts and more than 2,000$ for labor with a week repair time? Please, if it was my name on the car, I'd fix it myself in two days. You can bet if they're trying to overcharge me not going through insurance, which is cheaper for them, they're definitely overcharging your insurance, which means your insurance is overcharging you. My advice : avoid. There are better autobody shops that will do the repair for half the price in half the time.

I am very impressed with the quality of the service provided at Carstar St. Albert. My Jeep was returned back to me all fixed in less than 5 days with no reminder whatsoever of what had happened before. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the car was fully detailed, with two bottles of water and fresh scent inside. Thanks guys!

I brought my f150 in for repair on my front end. The service was excellent. They finished my truck in good timing. I was surprised to know they washed my truck and detailed the inside and even left 2 complimentary water bottles. Its not a big deal but those little touches can make a big difference in quality service. Good job carstars!! Will recommend you for sure.

I went there as my car got some damage in the rear bumper and broken tail light. They estimated me around $3000. I was able to find an auto body technician in south side Edmonton and he fixed my car with $600. It only took like 12 hrs or so. I do not recommend this business. There are better Auto body technician with very good price in Edmonton!

I called the St Albert location to book an assessment and told them what it was for. I showed up and they told me I was at the wrong location (even though the name on the card at the front desk matched the name I was talking to on the phone). I told them what I wanted done and the lady tlod me that they only do panel replacement not rust repairs. I was left wondering why the appointment was even booked. Total waste of my time, far les than professional service. I certainly won't be back.

Darren and Trudy were fantastic to work with. Carstar fixed my car before the anticipated date of completion. They dealt with the rental company and made the process a breeze and took care of what could've been a pick up/vehicle return problem without batting an eye. I was recommended to Carstar by my BIL and I would recommend Carstar now based on my own experience. Lastly, the cherry on top, they cleaned my car! I have a german shepherd that sheds like crazy and my car is so spotless you wouldn't know there was ever a dog in there. Thank you for the amazing service!!

Where to start. I brought my vehicle here after I was rear ended. Was recommend by a friend. They booked me in about 2 weeks after I got my quote, and had my vehicle for 2 days. When I went to pick it up, they had it backed in, under one of the large trees lining their lot. I looked over things and it seemed to be okay, until I opened the hatch (It's an SUV), and where they "fixed" the damage of the dent cause by the accident, there was raw metal visible that was not painted. I then pulled the vehicle into the sun, and noticed the colour was completely off (yes, it is pearl white and hard to match, but it was a VERY noticeable difference). The guy that was helping me even said, yea, that's not right at all. So then I get booked in for 2 weeks after that for them to re-paint and repair the hatch again. Long story short, they had it for a week, and I got it back. They STILL did not paint in the hatch, and the colour was still wrong. I mentioned to the SAME guy, Why was this not painted again. He said, Oh they told me it was.... Why not check before you make the customer waste their time and take time off work to come pick it up if it's clearly not done properly. The whole ordeal was the WORST experience I've ever had with anything automotive related. I then told him I would be taking my vehicle to the Carstar in Sherwood Park (which is 5 stars btw), to be fixed properly. He made it sound like it was possible but would take a while and be a big issue. He said he would "call to get it started for me". I waiting a week and half and called Sherwood Park myself, who had NEVER heard from St. Albert (big surprise). I took it to Sherwood Park, had it back in 2 days, AND FIXED PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME. And the paint matched! Imagine that! DO NOT GO TO THIS CARSTAR! Every person I dealt with there seemed very shady and like they just wanted the money from my insurance, and to do as little work as possible. Sherwood Park was a million times more professional and welcoming.

Horrible communication, poor service when we contacted the branch and just overall incompetence. I do not recommend this shop. I gave it two stars only because the finished product was acceptable. We booked the repair and were told that it would be a four day repair but they would need to book it for five days just in case there was a problem. Seemed fair so we agreed so we dropped it off on a Sunday night. On Wednesday afternoon, we got a notice that they were delayed and they hoped to get the vehicle in on the Friday. They said they would get us an update. Friday came and no update. Eventually, we decided to call and see what the status was and we were told that the vehicle was prepped and ready for paint as soon as shop space was available, but no date was given when this would happen. Monday came and still no phone call or email. Again, we had to contact them to get an update. We were told the vehicle was getting painted and that it probably wouldn't be ready until Tuesday. Tuesday comes and we didn't hear anything from Carstar until the end of the day, but they won't release the vehicle because the third party that was responsible for the payment wasn't available to process the payment. We later found out that despite being instructed to call the third party when the vehicle was almost complete, they waited until 3:50pm of the Tuesday to inform them. I arrived at the shop just before closing to see if the payment had been processed and found that my vehicle was still being detailed in the wash bay and that the payment hadn't been processed due to the fact that they waited so late in the day to collect. I could not take my vehicle home. Finally, on Wednesday, a week and a half after dropping it off, I got the vehicle back.
