I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for painting or professional services in general. But before I get into my review, let me first say that several attempts were made to come to a resolution with Brady (the owner), prior to writing this.
I hired this company to paint our 1500 sq ft home including some minor drywall patching, as Brady seemed knowledgeable at first, and his quote was very competitive. But the problems begin here, with that very quote that lured us in. I was quoted 2 coats of paint (approx. $3K), and was told this is generally sufficient to cover a house the size of ours. Well, it was not, and I ended up with an invoice for 3 coats of paint (approx. $4.5K), with no indication that a third coat would be necessary until AFTER it was applied. A professional painter SHOULD KNOW how much paint is required when coming out to quote a job. Complete bait and switch tactic that carried a huge cost afterward.
The problems continued when Brady and his one employee showed up onsite. There were several paint drops, and pieces of our personal property damaged. Please see attached pictures as proof. There were no drop sheets used and since they allocated only 3 days to the job, there was a sense of rushing the entire time. By day 2, he called in reinforcements in the form of his mother to help him out. There are areas of the house that did not receive the third coat of paint we ended up paying for, and the abysmal drywall patching (if you want to call it that) can be seen in the pictures attached.
In summary: I was left with a poorly done, incomplete job (part of the nursery was missed entirely, one of the main reasons we had the house painted), damaged property, AND an invoice that was 1.5x the original quote — all because Brady had another job lined up and did not plan adequately. When I expressed my concerns, he offered a $175 discount (about 5% of the total). When I did not agree this was a sufficient solution, because the job was still incomplete, he decided it was and sent a new invoice reflecting it. He also called my concerns “absurd” and “ridiculous”. To be honest, $175 does not cover the damage done to our personal property, nor address the huge chunks of incomplete work.
Perhaps due to his young age, Brady has a lot to learn about customer service and satisfaction, planning and time management, ethical and transparent business practices, and conflict resolution.
