Normally, I agree with the adage "You get what you pay for" Not do with this company. I chose Wow because they weren't the cheapest and I also had a time crunch. Yes, they came in and painted two rooms, a lot of trim, four doors and a ceiling all in one day but I had to spend hours cleaning up after them. On top of that, still have a coffee stain on my new carpet.

We had almost the entire interior repainted as well as some drywall holes and damage repaired. The initial estimate was very thorough and I felt confident that the right colors would be put in the right places. The price was very fair for the amount of work that was done as long as you have a reasonable expectation for how much painting costs. Our house is over 150 years old so there are a lot of non-straight lines to follow at the edges of walls and they did a good job of handling all the bumps and waves that we had. A few minor mistakes were made on touch-ups but they quickly returned to rectify those problems. If I could have I would have put 4.5 stars as the only deduction was for the fact that there was more speckles of paint on the floor than I expected. Luckily it comes off pretty easily with hot water and fingernails. Overall we were very happy with the end result and our house now looks properly painted and clean!

Arrived on time and work was very well done! They painted our entryway, living room, kitchen, hallway, and spare bedroom, as well as ceilings and all baseboards. Our walls look brand new! Original estimate was a 2-day completion (our walls needed a lot of prep work), but the team ended up finishing in one day. There was some minor touch-up required in the kitchen, and Wow 1 Day Painting was back within a day to complete the work. So impressed with their commitment to our satisfaction! We're very happy we chose Wow 1 Day Painting and we've recommended them to friends and family.

To start off I’m going to talk about the poor quality of paint used in our whole house. According to Leesha (the owner) the paint quality is suppose to be washable and durable. It’s none of those. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you just the brush of your coat will leave a smear of white shining marks on the wall. So visible to the naked eye. Anything you do leaves a mark such as fingerprints, sweat marks and don’t get me started about the water stains left by washing your hands by the sink. This paint is horrible, horrible, a disaster. And for someone who is in the painting industry who is selling this type of product is deceitful and wrong. I did reach out multiple times to Leesha the owner to explain why the paint is not what she promised. I reached out to her because of the 2 year guarantee on the contract. After multiple times via email back and fourth she ultimately dismissed me and said “it’s Sunday I will not answer anymore questions,”. Instead she was very defensive and blamed us for the way we handled the wall. Please note that our concerns were brought up in February 2020. and the job was completed in November 2019. A year later we are still left with a very poor quality paint choice from her. To the point I have to warn visitors to be careful when approaching the walls as they will leave a mark or a stain. How do you think that makes us feel?? We sound crazy and insane but it’s the truth. We trusted her expertise and judgement to be left disappointed. The reason why I’m writing this is because I don’t want other people to go through a similar experience as you know it’s expensive painting a whole house. You have to tap into your savings and to be left with a poor quality paint it’s very frustrating and it feels like we were taken for a ride.

Edit: downgraded rating by one star due to quality issues that I’ve discovered over time in less obvious places (at baseboards, below microwave etc). Some very sloppy work in those areas with little disregard for drips and taping. Paint job was good and they delivered within one day for most of the house which most companies can't do. Would recommend and use again! The pluses (4 star) We actually had a bit of a miscommunication and I expected paint to be done in an area they weren't expecting to paint. I raised this after the job and Maryanne came back to the house and delivered, even touching up some areas of trim that were not included in the job. I think if anything people should see this as a positive. It's easy when things go perfectly but when little issues come up you see how a company delivers on their promise and the pride they have in their work. It's clear that Leesha and her team (lead by Maryanne) have pride in their work and want customers to be happy. I would recommend the service. The ability to get that much paint work done in 1 day is a real plus for those of us looking to decorate after moving in. Additionally there was a small hole behind something the former owner had up (pre-existing) and wow1day patched it for us when they came back which was further evidence in the pride they take in having happy customers. Leesha also answered all of my questions by phone/text in evenings and on a Sunday which was great from a responsiveness standpoint. The only drawback The only area of improvement would be the level of comfort you get from the estimate. It was a good experience and Leesha was very open and provided recommendations on how to do some of the work I was undertaking myself. However we excluded certain activities like trim work and baseboards as we will be replacing in the future and it was not clear how/where/if this saved us any money. When we considered additional work, you could see the additional cost but nothing when we "excluded" work. I would have certainly had trim touched up if it was already included in the price. I would change the quote format to make this clear and transparent. Also we had to remove wallpaper and did extensive work to make sure we didn't ruin the walls, and did a lot of patching and touchups in preparation for the job for nail holes etc.. This was done because it was an old house and there were lots of comments during the estimate about potential backcharges which was concerning because of the undefined potential cost. Reducing the stress from the uncertainty would really make it a full 5 star experience, maybe having some sample pictures to show clients what wow1day will touch up and what qualifies as a backcharge would be helpful (in addition to talking about how the back charges are costed). In essence a clear price sheet for your services would add in transparency so that clients can understand the value they are receiving.

TBH I was a bit skeptical of their value proposition at first; having been a painter myself back in the day, I couldn't quite grasp how they were going to paint the walls of my entire first floor, staircase and upstairs hallway (spanning over approx 1000 sq ft of floor space) all in one day. There must be a catch, I thought. But nope, they did it! A team of 4-5 painters showed up between 8 and 9, and were all done by 3PM, cleanup and walkthrough included. Floors, furniture and valuables were covered, imperfections in the walls were patched up and sanded, moulding gaps were caulked, and all power outlet covers were removed then put back on at the end. Everything was done systematically and in logical sequence, no corners cut. Above all else, WOW 1 Day's customer service was exceptional and responsive. In fact, we had had two quotes and originally chose to go with another well-reviewed company (CertaPro), which estimated the project to require 3 days but cost roughly 15% less. After getting my go-ahead and multiple nudges (calls and e-mails), it took CertaPro almost 2 weeks to get back to me, only to book me another 2.5 weeks down the road. At that point, I had decided to contact W1D just to see. W1D's manager Leesha got back to me within an hour and was able to book me immediately, 10 days earlier than CertaPro. In the end, it was absolutely worth the higher cost, considering the excellent customer service and the valuable time saved.

I had WOW OTTAWA estimate and do a very quick turn around job of painting 4 walls in time for the Christmas holidays. From the consultation to answering follow up questions, advising on paint type and the actual work, WOW1Day make me feel like their most important client. After seeking quotes from others, I found their pricing far more reasonable and the consultation was more professional than others I had had. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable and obsessed with client satisfaction. She responded to my questions quickly. On the day of the job, Leesha, the owner, and Paye, the painter, arrived 5 minutes early and were ready to go. Paye worked nonstop for 7 hours. WOW does patching and sanding before painting, which made the final product even better. Paye was courteous and asked me to check his work at the end and then gave me a thank-you note and small gift! I dealt with Leesa. I have a front foyer that is completely open to a 2-storey view that required special ladders\scaffolding. I decided to include the mudroom and closet as they were sporting the same ugly shade of orange and wanted it gone! Leesa assigned the job to Rene and Mitch. They finished in a day as promised, and the quality is excellent. They did a fantastic job, cutting is great, no areas left out or forgotten and I was extremely pleased with the results, especially considering the vaulted area they had to work in. It now has that nice classic feel I wanted to bring into it. Not impressed at all with WOW One Day Painting on Coventry!!! I apologize ahead of time for the length of this message, however I felt the details were necessary to give you a clear picture of the situation. I hired WOW to paint all the rooms in the house, except for the bedrooms, with the understanding that the powder room and the kitchen/dining room would be painted once the renovations were complete. They did come back and painted the bathroom, but they explained that they were very busy and couldn’t do the kitchen/dining room right away. Although the job they had done so far looked good, there were two problem areas. One was a spot that needed re-doing since the area had not been sanded properly and was consequently very bumpy and quite noticeable. The other was in the bathroom where the paint was already peeling – perhaps because it was the same paint that they had used on the baseboards and window trim. Someone from WOW checked these two problem areas and agreed to have them repaired. Then, when I followed up once non-essential work could start up again, they confirmed that they would be doing the repairs. However, when I contacted them once more, they said they had already done the work!?! So I sent them photos to show them that the repairs had not been done – the photos looked exactly the same as when they had checked and confirmed that the work for these two areas needed to be re-done. When I persisted (calmly and politely), the owner ended up telling me that she would not be coming back to paint, as per our agreement, the kitchen/dining room and she simply refunded the money, saying that she didn't want to see me again!?! The amount of the refund did not cover the cost of having these two rooms painted. I contacted head office and said that I had been attempting to work things out with the WOW office in Ottawa, but without success. During my initial communication with them, I was told that they would look into it and get back to me. When I saw that they weren’t getting back to me, I called a few times and left messages each time – during one of my calls someone actually answered and told me they would get back to me after familiarizing themselves with the situation. The response I got was an email telling me not to contact them again!?

We used WOW 1 day painting to paint full interior of 4 bedroom house. We needed it to be completed fast and being an older home we felt professional painters were the way to go. We are very happy we decided to go with them. They did a great job and it looks so beautiful! We pointed out a couple of very minor things and Leesha was very quick to call and ensure we were 100% satisfied. They completed the house in 2 days as agreed and on budget. RATING: 0 STARS I really wanted to like this company because of their reviews. I never had a worse experience than with this company. First, it took about a month to even get a time slot for a quote consultation. Fine, I didn't need the paint project until another 2 months, so I did not mind waiting. The night before the phone consultation, they sent ME an email reminding ME that our phone call will be at 9:30 AM the next morning. I wait until around 9:40 AM and still no phone call, so I call the company myself (I had other meetings, so I called because I was worried the phone call might take long and cut into my other meetings). When the employee answers, she said she thought it was at 10 AM, even though she's the one who emailed me, reminding me it's at 9:30 AM. Fine, I let her call me back in 5 mins to get settled and have things in order. During the phone call, she just had an overall rude and dismissive tone. I told her that the FaceTime call was a little choppy, and she said, "Well, we have high-speed internet" ...Okay?... As I talked to her about the project and was picking my paint colours, I told her I want white, and she suggested a type of white. I look up the colour online, and I say, "I just want to make sure that this isn't a beige-y white because it kind of looks like it online." The employee then says, "Just to let you know that when clients are fussy and picky, we don't take them." ...I'm not a paint expert????? She explains that "We can't guarantee that the colour will turn out how you expect because there's a lot of light in your condo." ....okay, then just say that? Why come off so rude if you can just mention that you can't guarantee results due to lighting? I would have been very understanding if that were the case. Lastly, I kept telling her that I do not get the keys to the new place until March 23 -- I mentioned this about 3 TIMES. Despite this, she still kept giving me dates BEFORE my move-in date to book me in. She kept speaking over me every time I tried to tell her that the dates she's giving me won't work because I won't even have the keys yet!!! Shows that she's not even listening. The entire phone call felt so rushed. I did not feel like I was being heard. I did not feel respected as a client. I did not feel that they respected my time. I tried to be understanding throughout the entire experience, but I left the phone call feeling so disappointed at their customer service. ON TOP OF THAT, they still sent me a quote, and their price is way MORE EXPENSIVE than other companies that I received quotes from. There's no way you should be having prices like that with the kind of customer service you provide.
