Etienne and his CertaPro Painters team are true professionals - they ask you what you want done, they ensure you understand exactly what they're going to do for you to fulfill your wishes, and then they do it - honest, clear communication and follow-through from start to finish. We worked with Brad and Stephen, both excellent painters and pleasant individuals to deal with. The two of them painted our 1450 ft2 home in a little over two days, including our ceiling, and did a terrific, caring job. We will definitely call on Etienne, Brad, and Stephen the next time we paint.

I had my whole house painted by CertaPro. They sent over two guys, one of whom we never saw again. The guy who remained was not skilled in painting: there were many drops and splashes on our floor, baseboards, and fixtures. While fixing them, he created more issues He also used both semi-gloss and matte paint on the same wall which led to... an interesting effect. In fixing that, he didn't sand it properly so the sheen of semi-gloss is still visible. While he was dedicated and finished the original work quickly, the fixes took much longer as he was unreachable and didn't show up when he said he would. In short, there isn't much vetting of the contractors that CertaPro hires and you might get an amazing person or someone who knows next to nothing about painting. Beware when hiring this company, I'd go elsewhere.

Mathieu was excellent - he did very high quality work, especially because I had requested something that was technically challenging and needed many coats over a darker colour and accent walls. He did an amazing job and the place looks wonderful. He also cleaned up nicely after, and was really friendly and communicated well. I definitely would recommend him.

Etienne was friendly and knowledgeable and I was happy with the estimate that I received, and appreciated that I was given several different price points depending on what I wanted to have done. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of the work. They painted the underside of island (which shouldn't have been painted), the moulding looked worse in several spots than before they arrived, and the amount of touch up work added an extra day onto the project.

The price was affordable and CertoPro painters completed the living room painting project in a day with no spills or any damage to the floor or furniture. Very disappointed from start to finish with the administration of this company. CAA cites them as a trusted partner however, clients beware. Sales person visited 2 weeks prior, stayed for 1.5 hours. He provided a detailed quote. A day before the job started, he called to back items out of the job. When the subcontractor arrived, I was informed that they could not complete the job at cost quoted because the sales person was inexperienced. Sales person would not phone me back, I had the subcontractor waiting in the driveway to start the job. Owner finally called, and we were able to re negotiate the price. The worker did a great job. Then billing....I gave them my credit card number, they lost the credit card number and then ended of double charging me. Future clients beware. Owner (Yasir) did nothing to compensate me for the inconvenience or apologize. His words- “some clients can’t be satisfied”. I’ve received better service from student painters.

This is just a shell company who does quotes and then subs the work out to anyone who will do the work. Better off using kijiji. I used to work for this company and they hired me without an interview or insurance. You do not deserve your mansion. You are cancer.

I dealt with David from the beginning for the initial consultation. He was efficient but also found the time to explain what he's actively doing and even helped me save some money. I must have made 7 or 8 revisions to the projects due to cost and time limitations but the experience was phenomenal. After the proposals were made, Kirsty took over and helped me schedule the actual appointments for the project. She gave me a nice Christmas present by squeezing me in before the holidays, which was greatly appreciated. I could also tell that their entire team communicates with the other as i didn't have to repeat myself or what i needed done. Now we are two days into the painting process, and John and his son (can't remember the name sorry...) are absolute gems. They work efficiently, took care to cover everything, and cleaned things up as they went. Day two was a bit of a struggle since they had to get more paint, but since it was from a different store, it ended up being a bit darker than the rest of the place. They were upfront about it too and directly told me they'll buy more paint, get it mixed at the Kanata location, and repaint everything just for consistency. If this isn't dedication to their craft, i don't know what is. Their sincerity and work ethic is just amazing. I'm glad i went with CertaPro and will definitely be back to do doors/trims/basement/garage in the future.

Team of 2 painters arrived right on time, and painted all outside wood (house, deck, fence). They were pleasant and courteous, worked hard, did a great job, and cleaned up the site every night. At the end they went over everything with us to be sure we were satisfied, and there was also follow-up from the franchise manager to be sure we were happy. The price was competitive. It's name brand paint, carefully applied, so it ought to last well, but of course we will have to wait to see.

Mathieu did a great job! I was going on vacation for 3 weeks so decided to have CertaPro paint my main areas...foyer, dining room, living room and my hallway. I chose a colour and CertaPro colour-matched. Mathieu was able to start my job a few days early and I was advised of this well in advance. Because of potential interrupted internet service, while in Europe, I suggested it was not necessary to contact me every day. I heard back from Mathieu as often as I expected but due to the time changes his questions and my replies had delays. I needed to have 3 coats of paint to cover the original colour but was asked to approve this as well. Mathieu went ahead, due to time constraints, but I gave approval a day later. The painting job is well done and my apartment was very clean when I returned. Plus, I have a bit of extra paint in case I nick my walls. Highly recommend CertaPro and Mathieu.

Certa Pro Painters Ottawa Threatens Us with Lien on Our Property Also!! From start to finish my 2 month experience with Certa Pro Painters Ottawa has been a disaster. Nobody calls you back at this company. I waited over a month for someone to clarify my quote for me. This was a month of me constantly calling and emailing the office for clarification. Once my paint job was started, it was a trail of disaster. The painters were extremely disrespectful of my home. They did a horrible paint job, got paint on our carpets, and wore their workbooks on my carpets for 4 days. There was so much more,...too much to put in this review. Yasir (the owner) was never apologetic and did not try to compensate for any of the garbage that I have put up with during this entire fiasco. The job was not completed and I was sent multiple threatening emails that if I did not pay in full, they would put a lien on my property. If I could give this company "0" stars I would!

After buying our new home we wanted to see what it would cost to paint the whole place. Our initial consultation with Etienne was so informative and helpful that we decided to move forward and we could not be happier. Etienne and hide amazing paint crew made the process effortless. They recommended a color consultant who worked with us to pick a palette that we absolutely love. The painting team were professional, tidy and super responsive to our questions. Adding to the amazing job they did, we also had a very tight timeline, with multiple contractors coming by all day. The crew had to patch a bunch of holes from our electrician, and remove our blinds to paint. They moved items that I was supposed to without any complaint and even gave me tips on how to paint the laundry room (the only room I was willing to do myself). I am extremely satisfied with the service and would absolutely use CertaPRO again, and recommend them to anyone.

I hired CertaPro to remove ancient wallpaper from my walls and replace it with a fresh paint job. There was also some fairly significant damage in the drywall that needed a professional touch to repair. CertaPro Ottawa did not disappoint. The consultation process was very timely and professional, and I felt like my best interests (as an unknowledgeable client) were respected. The price quote was clear and there was regular ongoing communication throughout the course of the project. Finally and most importantly, the end result was definitely to my satisfaction! 10/10 would hire CetraPro Ottawa again.

They had estimated 3 days to do the work, as there was a tight timeline while the condo was empty. The painting project was completed in two 12 hour days, exceeding expectations. In 2016, CertaPro was hired to paint the entire interior and exterior of our house which sold within 10 days of being listed. Etienne Dupuy is always very professional and always understands the painting requirements and provides excellent, detailed estimates in a very timely manner. I hope you find this detailed review helpful. David, who I think was acting as a sales person, was the first person who contacted me, when I requested an estimate. He was thorough, spent more than half an hour with me, noting things about what needed to be fixed and painted in the house. Next day he sent me the quote and I was pleasantly surprised to see how detailed it was (but still some things got missed, which caused a lot of stress later on … read on). So, before saying Yes, I had few more questions. David answered all those question with great patience. In the end he called and clarified things and I finally said Yes. After Yes, David went out of the picture and comes Stephanie. Stephanie, helped with the start date of the job and I guess selection of the team (subcontracted painters). On the start day, a team of 2 painters (they are subcontracted by certain pro) along with the supervisor and company manager came to our house, I gave them a 10 minute round and showed them different areas that needed to be painted and fixed etc. When I mentioned that wallpaper needed to be taken off as well, painters seemed surprised. The painters did not talk to me about the wallpaper for first 3 days, but I could sense tension through their conversation etc. I think it was the 3rd day, when they finally brought this issue to my attention. My understanding was that taking off wall paper was part of the quote, but the painters thought it was not. Long story short it took a decent amount of effort on my part to gather all the old conversations I had with David, which I then sent over to David and the painters, to clarify things etc. Good thing is David who went completely out of picture after I said Yes initially, finally responded through email and things got settled. I decided to pay some extra money to get the wallpaper off. As far as the paint is concerned, painters did a good overall job and we are satisfied. Again, since they are subcontracted, so you don’t know who you are going to get. IN our case, they were clean. At the end of everyday they would tidy up things put them at one place. They were thorough as well. On the final day, some trims were painted in rush, so I did see some paint on the floor, but considering how big the job was, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Sometimes they would throw swear words here and there, so you do want to be aware of this if your kids are at home. Overall, I am satisfied with the paint job done. And happy with my decision of choosing certapro. Yes, due to some miscommunication or maybe lack of, amongst Sales person, painters and myself, some stress was caused, but you can avoid this by throughly going through the quote and making sure that EVERY SINGLE little thing is mentioned on the quote.

I hired Certapro and had a crew over to paint my entire house in June. I first wasn’t happy with the work. The guys were sloppy and the crew’s boss was rude with us and with his staff. They left the house with paint droplets on our hardwood floor, furniture and baseboards, brush stains and unfinished spots. Even though the guys were supposed to clean-up (it’s written on the contract) I was so tired at the end of the week to have them in my house that I just thought of cleaning and doing the touch-ups myself. I nevertheless voiced my dissatisfaction to Syed, Certapro sales representatives, and he took my concerns very seriously. He insisted to make things right, and despite my multiple time constraints and schedule limitations, he went above and beyond to schedule another crew to come back to my house. My expectations were low but in 1 day, Nogie and his partner fixed everything and did amazing work ! They were very professional, meticulous and quick. I am very happy with the way things turned out. I think it is always a risk for companies to do business with contractors, and as a customer, you can never be 100% certain that things will go perfectly. Some contractors can be great and others... not that great. And even the best people can sometimes have a bad week. But I think what matters the most is a company that cares about its clients and that will never let you down. That’s the way I felt with Syed and Certapro, and such good customer care is rare and precious these days. A special thanks also to Arianna who answered my 100 emails very promptly every time and with lots of patience. Thanks guys for making things right. Will definitely call you again for our next painting job !

I was initially disappointed that my scheduled date of service was cancelled at the last minute due to a snowstorm the DAY BEFORE. My painter called me at 6:15 pm the night before a scheduled painting at 7:30 am the next day. I was on an extreme time constraint and ended up having to do half of the project myself. Certa-Pro could have offered me an extra crew member to get the job done, but they decided not to. I paid to have my rec-room and a stair railing painted. Although I was pleased with the job on my rec-room, my railing is a different story. I paid $1000.00 just for the railing. The painters did not use tape to achieve clean lines. I am now left to do a great deal of scraping by hand because the dark colour used bled into the wooden frame that houses the metal railing. I was also not left any touch-up paint for the railing which was part of the contract. The manager did call me for feedback, but when I left a message my call was not returned. I would not hire this company again!

Their people are friendly and efficient and always leave the jobs sites clean. My clients love them. I get a firm quote before the work starts which helps me price jobs accurately and the work is always done on time and on budget. I would (and frequently do) recommend Certa Pro to anyone looking for a reliable painter for their home.

Initial meeting with staff was great. Punctual and very professional. Detailed estimate. Painters were punctual as well, very polite and called me daily at the end of the day to keep me updated on the progress of the work (as this was an empty house that we were putting on the market). Painters had assured me that tarps would be put down. Unfortunately, the job was sloppy. There were splatters EVERYWHERE on hard wood floors, tile, counters and toilets. They did not paint close enough to the electrical outlets so that even with covers, you could see the previous color. They pulled the toilet to paint behind and it leaked all over the basement... they just put a rag down without telling us about it. When we send photographic evidence of this to the company, we received no reply for days. The company did offer to send the same painters back to do "touch ups" but we were in a hurry to put the house on the market and had taken days off work to scrape floors, counters, cabinets and toilets as well as do touch ups around the house ourselves. We sent pictures but they never offered to send a supervisor to review after our initial complaint. After a full month of no reply or solution from the company, they simply sent us the bill. We asked for compensation and after yet again another month, they offered us $100 off our bill. This does not even cover 1% of the cost of the job, the repair from the toilet leaks as well as the time taken off work to scrap the paint splatters and do touch up. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. They do not take responsibility for their mistakes.

I sent a description of the work I wanted completed in order to get a “free”quote” and in accordance with the information they requested from me. I was told they were only doing virtual quotes. Ten days had passed and I never received a response at all. I was not impressed. It made me wonder; if they can’t even respond to emails how on earth do they get their jobs completed.

CertaPro painted our orange bricked house dark grey, completely modernizing the look and feel of the home. Their work was outstanding. The consultation process was thorough and included a web application that provided a preview of our home in the colours that we were interested in. The actual work lasted three days. Day 1 included power washing the house and days 2 and 3 consisted of the paint work. At the end, a walk through was provided to make sure that we were completely satisfied with the final job. Everyone at CertaPro was very friendly and we would highly recommend their service to others.

Listen Up......I am not one for reviews, but I do I have tell you about this Ottawa Business. We finally decided to move ahead and look at doing some painting around the house. So after looking around the web we decided to give this company a call. I called and left a vm message for someone to call me back about obtaining a quote for some painting. Within a day of leaving the message Wendy called me and left a message letting me know to call her back to arrange a time for her team to come by. Later that same day I received a call from Etienne, asking from me to call him to arrange a time to meet. From there things moved quickly and smoothly. Etienne was very professional, polite, and very nice on the phone. He was very accommodating and asked when was a good time for me to meet with him. We arranged a time and a hour before he called me to let me know that he was coming and will be bringing a long a person in training and he would be running about 10 mins or so late. Understandable due to the bad weather we were having that day. Etienne arrived very well dressed, clean and right on time when he said he would. He intro himself and asked us questions about the painting, what rooms, what colour and so on. He measured and looked over the rooms and came back with a quote. Now I had a specific budget in mind that I wanted to spend and when I saw the quote I was pleasantly pleased. The quote went over my budget by about $200, but due to the way I was treated from the very beginning I had no problem at all paying it. We arranged a time for his team to come in and do the painting. It was done on the March Break when we were out of town. While we were away, Patrick called us to keep us updated and informed of the progress and to let us know of any issues. No issues were reported and on their second day Patrick called us around 3pm and advised us that they were done. WOW!!!.. Now they started in the Monday and were completely finished Tuesday. I would say that is pretty good. The Thursday after we came home, Brad and Patrick came over to review their job with us and confirm if there were any issues. All I have to say is AMAZING JOB!!!! Fixed all the cracks, even put a third coat in areas that needed it. On top of doing a GREAT job, they cleaned up after themselves. Oh and one other thing, they were in my home along when we were gone. Which means they CAN be trusted. Brad and Patrick are two very professional painters. If you ever need any painting done in your home, I would definitely recommend this company and these 2 painters Brad and Patrick. You will NOT be disappointed!.

Certa Pro does not honour their 2 year warranty. We had our entire 2400sq ft house painted in February and were told their work is guaranteed for two years. Everything looked good during the quick 5 minute walk through, however after a couple months of living in the house we started noticing patches that were missed/spots on the ceiling that were not covered up etc. In addition, the bathrooms were not tarped so we have noticeable paint splatter on the toilets and bathtubs. We have emailed and called multiple times with no response to our messages. The contractor David Graham took our call the first time we attempted and we have not heard from him since. Once they have your money that’s it, don’t expect any follow ups in good will or for them to honour your contract! First 3 photos are examples of painting errors that we missed during the walk through. Last photo is of a small section of the paint splatter on one of the bathtubs.

Certapro in Ottawa is NOT a good painting company. We hired them in 2018 and we are NOT satisfied with their work. First, they sent their sales person who promissed all the right things. But their painters didn’t seem to care about what the sales person had promissed. They were rushing to slap a coat of paint on and leave as soon as they could.

In the past month, we had our entire house painted by the CertaPro painters. Once we had made the decision, I researched painters in the area and found that CertaPro was highly recommended. Now that it is done, I know that the reviews I read were true and that CertaPro provided the very highest quality of service. It began with the initial visit by Etienne Dupuy – his evaluation and job proposal was thorough and responded to our wishes; he was pleasant, personable and very polite. Once we made the decision to give them the contract, the job was scheduled and the two painters, Mathieu and Joey, arrived on schedule. Mathieu had contacted me the day before to confirm his arrival the next morning. Mathieu reviewed the project, ensured that the plan met our expectations and got to work right away. We are retired, so that we were in the house while they were working; Mathieu reviewed the progress at the end of each day, and advised me of the plan for the next day or two. We could not have asked for better workers than Mathieu and Joey – they were both very pleasant, polite and very respectful of us and our house. They were very professional, and they were very demanding of the quality of their services – they pointed out minor defects that we would never have picked up. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day so that we did not feel that we were living in a construction site. When the work was done, Mathieu did a “walk through” of the house and ensured our satisfaction; he informed us that, should we notice any problems in the coming days or weeks, we should contact the CertaPro office so they could come back for touch-ups. Overall, the entire experience was a 9.5/10!

The job consisted of painting a stipple ceiling on the main level of our home. And the ceiling looks great. The contract indicated that the walls would be covered...they were not. Fortunately, we removed all the frames and pictures before the painters arrived...a couple of days late. My concern was mostly with the scheduling delays. Nevertheless, the painter was thorough and efficient. He provided us with helpful advice and returned promptly the next day to finish the job. Would I recommend CertaPro? Yes, but with a caveat or two.

I dealt with this company last year for the staining of my deck. My wife and I were so satisfied with the service we decided to hire them again to paint the interior of our home which included basement 1st floor and second floor (minus the bedrooms). Both times we dealt with Etienne Dupuis who the representative responsible to provide us with an estimate. I've had the pleasure to know Etienne since elementary school and the service he provides is with such professionalism he gives you that vibe which in a way forces you to deal with Certapro Painters. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and an overall nice person. Etienne promised us he would send us his best painters and he came through with his promise. The painters that painted our home were Mathieu and Brad. Their work was impeccable. My wife was mostly the one who dealt with them as I was at work and based on her praises about them they were truly perfect. They were punctual, and even went above and beyond to help with moving furniture, removing window coverings and other things we didnt have time to move for them to paint. We are extremely satisfied with the painting job these two men have done and its refreshing to know Certapro really strives on efficiency just as much as they do quality. My wife was most impressed on how they always made sure to clean after themselves which is a huge positive. We definitely recommend Certapro to whoever is looking for a reliable painting company. I haven't dealt with any other painting company and wont have to after dealing with these guys. You guys are the truly the best. Certapro synonymous to "Certainly Professional"

July 22, 2018 1:43 PM We had CertaPro Ottawa do both our interior & exterior of our house, the exterior being a full cedar house. They were professional, efficient and cleaned up well. At the year 2 inspection we noticed some peeling on the cedar exterior. We waited another year to see if it persisted. In year 3 (only a 2-year warranty) it continued and despite being told by CertaPro that it was likely due to the surface not being dry when they did the job, we agreed to pay for the repairs/redo over the specific areas. We got a quote and when we called to schedule the work were told they would not do it and then ended all communications. We have since called CertaPro HQ and were told (twice) that the franchisee and then the regional manager would contact us. We have heard nothing (3 months?). We let them know we agreed to pay and were NOT contesting the warranty. They were happy to take the initial business but the follow-on and dropping the ball on the "paid repairs" is not acceptable, unprofessional and confusing to say the least. It appears the CertaPro owners do not care about the performance of their franchisees and have no interest in communicating with them to find a solution. And since then the situation has worsened, there is now more work to be repaired.

I would not recommend this company for many reasons. The initial bid to paint a small condo was lower than most other companies but they had hidden costs that added up to a lot more than expected (ex: limited number of doors!!). Also, to justify their cost, the owner purposely over-estimates the time required to the job (ex: 3.5 days) when it can actually be done in half that time (ex: it was done in less than 1.5 days). Upon first inspection, the work seems ok/average but after a closer look, only 1 coat was done under bulkheads, some receptacles were painted over or not painted close enough to allow the plates to cover the unpainted portion, some spots were clearly missed on the walls during the 2nd coat and the ceiling was left with many spots of coloured paint from the wall. This company cares way more about the money than it's reputation. Look elsewhere.

We were extremely impressed with Stephen who did an excellent job on the power washing and staining. He was very friendly, professional and conscientious. First of all, I would like to clarify that if I could rate them on a scale of 0-10 I would probably give them 8.5 due to an issue with colour selection. Further details are below. In summary, Certapro did a great job on painting the entire second floor, main floor foyer, basement and garage of my home. Etienne was very helpful in terms of providing the estimate and the painters were professional, polite and punctual in terms of completing the work. Overall I am very happy with their work and will certainly refer them to friends and colleagues. A couple issues arose during the job that may be helpful in terms of awareness for future clients of Certapro. The first issue had to do with colour selection. This was my first time having a house painted. During the initial quotation process I picked out a colour from a colour chart and thought all was good to go. However, on the first day of actual painting the lead painter came and saw me and said we had a problem. He believed that the colour selected would not work as the paint that was already on the wall would bleed through the new colour. This caused a frantic rush to choose a new colour as the painter ran to the paint store a number of times to help get new samples and identify a new colour. The extra trips to the paint store resulted in cost overages due to time and paint required to nail down a new colour. In hindsight I think I would have benefited from some extra guidance in colour selection during the quotation phase which could have avoided the issue beforehand. The second issue was actually caused by me and is merely being mentioned so others can avoid the same difficulty. After the quote was initially provided, and before the painting actually began, I removed a gas fireplace in the basement. The removal was done cleanly with intact and relatively undamaged drywall left behind. I did not think this would be a problem as the primer could be applied followed by the coats of paint. My error in this regard was that I did not take into account the taping/mudding phase. This caught the crew off guard when they arrived as they had to prep the wall. This also resulted in a cost overage but as mentioned above this complication was due to the fireplace removal and the cost overage was not Certapro's fault. All in all a very good experience. I would call them back for future painting projects.

This company just farms out all jobs to independent contractors. The workers are supposed to have insurance but none of the crews that worked here had WSIB. Workers showed up wearing sandals or running shoes. None had proper work boots. One gentleman showed up in flip flops and proceeded to power wash our aluminum siding from the ground. I told him I've never seen anyone do it that way. He ended up damaging our shingles, which I had to repair because none of their workers or supervisors were competent enough to do the repair. The first 2 paint crews that showed up, left saying that they needed to pick something up, but never returned. After many calls and emails to CertaPro, a third crew finally showed up (days later). Instead of painting from the top down, they started painting at the bottom in patches wherever they could reach without moving the ladder. Within 5 minutes they would start to put a second coat on theses patches. More calls to CertaPro to complain about this painting procedure. They never did do it properly. In one instance, I had to ask the workers multiple times to hammer in 1 nail that was sticking out. They ended up bending it over and painting over it. We basically had to babysit them and tell them what to do and how to do it. Overall... - Jobsite supervisors were hardly around and didn't communicate - Workers were arguing with each other - One worker would sit in the truck in our driveway for hours while the other person did all the work - Workers would pack up and leave without finishing the job (calls to their supervisor would force them back) - Some workers could either not read English or didn't understand the contract - They were supposed to scuff sand the siding prior to painting but never did it, or didn't do all of it - Workers didn't have WSIB The only good thing about the job was the estimator. He was very knowledgeable and put together a good contract. I would advise him to distance himself from CertaPro.

Stephen did an excellent job repairing drywall, patching stippled ceiling, adding trim and painting. He covered everything in plastic, and drop cloths, even creating a small plastic bubble for himself during sanding to minimize the mess. He made me aware of a small electrical issue that needed fixing before drywalling commenced. Very polite and personable. Left job site clean and tidy at the end of each day, Highly recommend this company!

We chose CertaPro Painters for our large job of painting our entire home (approximately 2000 square feet). The initial consultation was great and very detailed, as was the coordinating process leading up to the project. The staff was diligent and prompt in answering any questions we had, which was much appreciated given that it was the first time doing such a large project in our home. They had told us that our project would likely take between 4-5 days and that they had a large numbers of painters on hand that would be available to do the project at our earliest convenience. Upon our painter’s arrival on the Monday morning, we were quite surprised when CertaPro only sent one painter to complete our entire Project. The painter himself was also surprised by the amount of work that was required for a time span of 4-5 days, especially given that the owner had emphasized how many painters they had on their roster. Toward the end of the week, our painter unexpectedly had a family emergency (which is completely understandable) and was unable to work for two full days. Because CertaPro only had one painter on the job, this essentially meant that our Project sat still for two full days and further delayed its completion, which ended up being 4 days late in total. We would have appreciated if someone from CertaPro would have reached out to us and to come up with an alternative of for that time or offer some sort of compensation for the delay. Overall, we are satisfied and happy with the quality of the work done by our painter Arnel. Some areas are requiring small touch-ups, which we have contacted the office to coordinate. However, it seemed as though CertaPro puts more emphasis on customer service and satisfaction at the initial stages of the project rather than during its implementation. We had expected to receive some sort of call or email during the week from CertaPro to see how the project was moving along, but we received no such thing and would have appreciated if someone from the CertaPro office would have checked in on the Project at some point during the week. Another concerning issue was that we overheard a phone conversation between our painter and the CertaPro office essentially telling our painter to hurry up and finish the job so that he could move onto the next one. As customers, this was very concerning because it demonstrated that they want to simply move on to the next contract rather than ensuring that our Project was completed to our satisfaction and done properly with quality. In sum, our review is two pronged. Our painter was great, however the service from CertaPro could have been improved. Next time, we will likely just go through a sub contractor themselves rather than going through a "middle man" company.

I'm a very reasonable person and I don't like providing negative reviews but this was just awful. The only way I can see them having such a high Google rating is by recruiting a marketing firm to leave fake reviews. We were selling our house and enlisted their services more than 6 weeks in advance of the list date. It was a 4 day project which took over 3 weeks to complete and the only reason it was completed is because after weeks of nearly no progress (or responses to emails and calls from us) with CertaPro we had to scramble to enlist the services of another painter who was reliable and competent enough to complete the job. If it was left to CertaPro, I don't know if the job would ever have gotten done. They never answered calls, we have dozens of calls and emails practically begging for help. The contract was subcontracted by CertaPro (my guess is b/c of increased client demand and resource issues) to someone who installs flooring (who eventually showed up to say that he couldn't complete the full scope of the project (our house is a normal house downtown) who then subbed the work out to some University students who sometimes showed up, sometimes didn't, sometimes put in half days... and that's when they had any materials to paint with (ladders, paint etc). They got paint all over the patio stone, front porch and even some in our interior which was just painted! In their agreement they list that they will show up at 8 AM, a site supervisor and project manager will provide daily schedule updates.... couldn't be further from the truth in fact we couldn't get anyone to answer our calls. All in all this is the worst experience we've had with contractors to this day. I wish there was the opportunity to leave a zero numerical rating.
