I sold my house recently. It involved a very big cleanup after 17 years living there, and a LOT of renovations, big and small. Shortly after I rolled up my sleeves to do the work, word began to circulate about the corona virus. Luckily I had already hired Gregory Yatkowski, of Same Day Handyman... who proved himself reliable, respectful, honest, trustworthy, and such a caring human being. No job was too big or too small. He cleared my garage and basement, replaced (needed to custom fit) exterior doors, removed the rickety railing on my side porch, replaced flooring (after driving to Barrie to pick it up for me) in my kitchen and 2 foyers, cut my lawns, repaired my garage, helped with landscaping... and the list goes on. Anything I needed or wanted, he did. Always with a willing heart and the skills of a master. Plus, he often went the extra distance, offering me small but so welcomed gifts of his time and expertise. In a time when I was overwhelmed with massive amounts of work needing to be done, in a small amount of time, Greg was like an angel, always there when I needed something done. And when it was done, it was always done better than I could have hoped for - his attention to detail was awesome. It was a daunting, dirty task (some of it) - and he smiled cheerfully all the way thru it. He's the BEST - on a scale of 1 - 10, he's at least a 20. I HIGHLY recommend Sameday Handyman - you won't be disappointed.

I had an external vent cover blown off from a high wind storm. Had no idea who would actually be able to fix it and was concerned it would be wide open to water , animals , etc. I could not get to the second floor. I have tried to find general repair or handymen in the past and either no one answered the phone or said they were too busy. Always lots of excuses or no show if I did arrange for someone. Normally no one wants to do a small job. I called Sameday and I actually got a real person to speak to. Greg was beyond accommodating and said he would be there end of day. Sure enough he showed up off his business day, looked at the repair needed, grabbed my old cover and said he would put in a new one. Next day his team showed up , put the temp old one back in and said they’d be back with a new one. Sure enough within an hour he was back and within 5 mins it was installed , caulked and nailed. Brand new! So totally impressed with the speed, care, client relations, and the work was with such good will and kindness. So refreshing! I now finally have a company I can call for things I need done and we have a lot of property to help manage. Beyond happy with the service. Too bad other companies can’t act with such decorum and speed! But other companies inability to care for people's needs is their loss and Sameday’s gain. Pro company!

I had Gregg do an extensive exterior renovation on my house including roof, windows, soffit, facia and siding. After calling the lumber mill myself and finding out that my product (the very big lie and reason Gregg couldn't come finish my project for weeks) had been waiting to be picked up for weeks and Gregg wouldn't return their calls, they sold the product to another contractor. Thus leaving me to purchase and wait till inventory became available. The claimed "$5000" stone friend bonus was discussed in the original quote and was clearly understood as part of the project not a gift...which wasn't fully installed and left for me and my wife to finish. I terminated the contract with him due to not showing up and finishing my project on the agreed deadline and ultimately lying to me about the material not being available when I clearly was a scheduling issue.

I am changing my review for this company. Greg started off extremely professional and caring and decided to basically burn all of that. I ordered a pool back in December and also what he calls a “backyard oasis” and he basically gave me the run around, still is. Blaming it on COVID and premits and all of that. Not to mention I got him to remodel a trailer home and everything is breaking from the power not working for some plugs to the water not having hot water or coming out slow. We found some lines were duct tape, he did siding for the home with wood and the wood boards are falling off they’re basically only held with one nail. He was suppose to do a garage extension for us as well and basically was waiting on a permit. 3 months past and he’s still waiting on a “permit” meanwhile my friend literally got one within 3 weeks. I’ve also asked for the pool company’s name so I can get information from them and he basically told me it’s none of my business and that it’s all my fault and that after all that he’s done for me it’s a shame. The relationship with Greg will start personable and be very friendly at first but then as you get more projects done by him you’ll start to realize. Stay away. Believe me.

My friend, a breast cancer survivor, purchased a "new still in the wrapping" refrigerator from this guy last week. When her husband brought it home and removed the wrapping it was damaged, disgustingly dirty and the bottom filled with mouse droppings and nest material. When her husband tried to contact Gregg to say they were displeased, the kijiji ad from which the fridge was purchased was taken down. Her husband returned the next day but Gregg would not come to the door. They left the refrigerator on his driveway. So now they are out $1200 and no fridge. Stay away from this guy!!
