He made me a highly specialized piece of furniture - a Dual Projector Stand on which i can put two slide projectors and run my art show in a crowded room where there is not otherwise any space for audio visual aids. Yes, I have this rig now because of Keith who made it and even painted it for me! And he donated it pretty much for free too. He's a 100% good guy.

After meeting with 3 contractors we found ourselves most comfortable with Keith and his building practices. Keith provided the design and construction to our 2nd floor addition. UUnless money is absolutely no object to you then don’t even consider speaking with Eastivew Homes. That would appear to be the driving force behind their motivation to work for you. Keith can’t hide his irritation that you are wasting his time. Certainly don’t speak with him late in the afternoon – perhaps he is a morning person. I don’t understand why Keith would be the person designated to make initial contact with prospective clients. His personality is completely anti-social. Right from the moment he arrived it was clear he was impatient and in an irritated state of mind. It was only a matter of 2-3 minutes before he informed me that my budget of $150 - $175,000 couldn’t come close to accommodating the work I would like to have done. A addition of any size couldnt be accomplished. It seemed from that moment he no longer had an interest in even walking me through the process of what would be required. He offered no option for what might be done to help me solve the problem I was trying to resolve with my home. Quite frankly if he truly felt it would be impossible to even attempt the project with the budget I had in mind then why not just professionally and politely explain why. Instead he kept harping on the all the upfront costs I would have before I could even proceed. When I mentioned that his company would not be the only company I would speak with in order to try to educate myself prior to spending what was, at least to me, a significant sum he spoke unkindly of others in the industry who apparently could not even compare to Eastview homes. He insinuated that the design company I had contacted likely wouldn’t know or understand fully what they were doing. He said Eastview would be the only company I would need because they had all of the other specialty components in-house. It is never pleasant to witness someone trying to elevate themselves at the expense of others and this was no exception. He proceeded to tell me that I would need to spend $20-30,000 getting a survey and feasibility study, which of course Eastview could do all in-house, and ultimately I could learn that I wouldn’t be able to proceed. He told me that I should have been prepared with drawings and sketches of what I wanted before he even arrived. When I explained that I knew the end goal but needed help in understanding how to get there he said I could have found out a lot of what I needed to understand on my own. He was not able to articulate the process required to advance to the next steps and his inability to communicate effectively and clearly was frustrating for me. It really seemed as though once he knew the budget wasn’t going to be more than $175,000 he wasn’t even remotely interested. He was rude and combative and spoke with an insulting tone. What an unpleasant experience. I felt attacked by his choice of words and his manner of delivery. Subsequent to writing this review I received a call from Jackie who identified herself as an owner of Eastview Homes. I appreciated the call and Jackie took the time to hear my concerns and she expressed ways in which she felt Eastview could improve interactions with prospective clients in the future. Jackie asked me I would consider removing this review to which I responded that my experience stands and was accurately recorded and I would not take it down. I would, however, amend the review to reflect her genuine interest in hearing my concerns and responding to them in a professional manner which I truly appreciated.

Keith and his team built our backyard fences, one 6ft, the other 7ft high. He was prompt to quote, discuss alternatives, even discuss with less than cooperative neighbors. Getting the job scheduled and completed was pretty easy as well, and even while we sorted out any issues during the project, Keith was always quick to respond and act. The fences are beautiful and afford much needed privacy. And now, one year after the completion of our fences, as boards start naturally to warp as they dry out, I contacted Keith and he again was quick to respond and act on it. In less than a week we had his team come by and fix everything. This is what I found most impressive about Eastview Homes, as most contractors, I find, are never to be found again once they receive the last payment. I definitely recommend Keith and his team.

Well it has been just over a year since we had our home fully renovated using Keith from Eastview Homes. Roughly ($350,000 +) I could go on and on about the dissatisfaction of our dealing and quality of workmanship we received, however if the reader of this review is thinking of renovating, I would gladly share our experience along with the many factual Photo's and video's we have. I would also share some tips and pointers I have learned in making sure you select in my opinion a good contractor and must needed items to clarify when contracting through a contractor. Unfortunately in todays fast and moving housing market I believe that there is very little if any accountability on the contractor who are trusted to build your "Dream House". Therefore, I want to be able to help people in making sure they do not fall into the "Dreaded Build". (I will not charge anyone and I am not a business) I am not a contractor or a tradesman but I did learn a lot, unfortunately from the negative interaction and numerous deficiencies throughout our build and the year after. I was taught a lot from the trades that we hired and explained to us in detail why the issue arose and needed repair. We ended up paying extra money to have other trades repair the work that in our opinion was poorly done by Eastview Homes but in the end it was definitely the better decision we made.

We initially communicated by email as that was the easiest for my husband and I, however we always received a prompt response to our emails.
