I have had two outstanding experiences with the crew over at Master Auto in the last week. First, I needed my winter tires put on and they did this for me in 2 hours at an amazing price. A few days after, my car was broken into and the passenger side window was shattered. I called Fred the morning of the incident and he told me to drop off the car that morning. He was able to get the parts needed, fix the window, and clean my car of debris in 5 hours despite being fully booked for the day. Again, the price was super reasonable and my car was returned looking brand new. The interior was vacuumed out and every surface was cleaned for me. These people know what they're doing, and do it well. I wont be going anywhere else for my auto needs.

Got my quote for my front bumper and made an appointment. They had the bumper painted (and it matched perfectly) and ready for my appointment which was great. Got a call around lunch saying it was ready and then showed up after work and the bumper wasn’t sitting correctly on the car. Asked them why and they said “it’s and after market bumper”, I understand it won’t be perfect however I feel that for the high price I paid that this shouldn’t be happening. Made me feel like it was my fault that I was unhappy and will not be returning for any future issues.

Went into Master Auto with a clutch problem...turned out it just needed to be lubed and five minutes later the clutch was great! Fred didn't charge me a penny. Been taking my vehicles there for 20 years. Always friendly and they will try to fit you in for an appointment asap.

Avoid avoid avoid! Was looking to buy a new car and fouad told me he would buy me one from auction he paid $16200 for the car and told me he paid $17400 and I saw it accidentally when I was standing next to him. He tried to rip me off. And after seeing how much he paid for it he still denied it. Also ! Went for car service oil and filter he charged me more than what a dealership charges.

After a family member rear-ended my Civic, we spent a good bit of time gathering quotes from many body shops in Halifax and Dartmouth. Despite initially being confused as to where to go with the old business right next door, they provided me with fantastic service. For a quote of 400$ they buffed the scrapes out of my bumper (damage pictured) and left my bumper in flawless condition. That quote was literally half of what Chapman's quoted me just down the street. There are no imperfections or flaws in the work whatsoever and I looked quite hard because of some guy who previously left a concerning review about dust in the paint. Turnaround time was also impressive; they had my car for barely over a day before I got it back. I've had my bumper done before at Chapmans (with less damage) and it took Chapmans 2 days. Pretty impressed so I'm definitely taking my business to Master Auto from now on.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Master Auto was referred via a colleague. I had been advised by my dealership (after 6 years of loyalty for all R&M services) that my car was not worth the repair estimate. Knowing there had to be another option before throwing it into the "parts bin", my persistence paid off when I brought my car to Master Auto. No question, my repair was a difficult one and many shops would have passed on it. Fouad and his team committed to repairing my car well under what was quoted to me from the dealer. My black 2013 Honda Civic was painted new custom colour blue as I wanted, trim was changed from chrome to black. Paint feels thick and high quality. No nibs in the paint, everything is smooth as any pro body shop would do. Satisfied with the outcome of the job.

If you want to do a BODY WORK for your vehicle, DO NOT GO! I recently just had a HORRIABLE HORRIABLE experience from this work shop. Back to April 2019, I need my driver side rear door to be repaired and re-paint since I was hit by another car’s door edge. This work shop quoted around $600 to fix it, this is a bit cheaper price compare to some of the “dealer officially certificated shops”. I went to this shop and my nightmare started. 1st time: they said they need 2 days to fix it, and they told me that that's an easy job, they will sand the whole door and repair the damaged part and re-paint. After 5 days, I picked up my car, then back to home; next day I found that I can clearly see the repaired area through the painting - a cycle dent; also, there were A LOT OF dust nibs in the painting. I went back to the shop and said this is not acceptable. They said will re-done, and then I spend $100+ to get a rental car, sure the work shop never covers it. 2nd time: door got re-painted, still with tons of dust nibs; I didn't notice and drove home; one the way back to home I realized that I can not open that door’s window, and the door can not be locked - the electronic wire cable and seal on the door was broken after I stopped my car and inspected it. I went back to them next day, after half an hour their mechanics can not fix it by using hard screw driver but cost more damages, and I ask them to replace it with new part, I left my car in and took taxi home with +$50, of course not a penny they will cover my cost. 3rd time, the next day after off work I took taxi to them and said I need them cover my taxi cost at least once; funny thing happened, the owner gets very mad and shouted: WHY PAY TAXI FOR YOU? I ALREADY DID EXTRA FOR YOU! I FIXED THE DAMAGED WIRE!! WHAT???Excuse me? EXTRA?????? I was shocked and totally speak less, my brain was searching what “extra” thing they did for me? Like, fixed the part got damaged by them??? I did not ask them to pay my lost, but they got mad before I do? besides the money I paid for the repair, I spend $300 MORE and suffered bad service and bad attitude… I gave up this store, and went to a certificated workshop, spend another $800 – result comes back with amazing job with no damages, painting with no dust nips, prefect. (during the time waiting for the certificated shop’s booking, I realized that that door’s outside mounted sliver trim was bent, that's because they took that part violently and cost the bent) What I got from this shop? 1. Uncleaned painting 2. Damaged door electronic wire 3. Damaged door silver trim 4. High risk of rust from the inside of the door 5. Just DO NOT GO this store, with my true experiences, DO NOT GO.

Just want to give a heads up to anyone buying a used vehicle from these guys. They seem like great guys and I’d love to give them the benefit of the doubt but there’s just too many things that went wrong. I bought a vehicle from them in the winter time, they said don’t open the sunroof because we just washed the car(found out later the panoramic roof doesn’t work). We just shampooed the carpets (aka all four doors leak water when it rains). We’re going to undercoat it for you (to hide all the oil leaks). It’ll have a new MVI when you pick it up (doesn’t mean you’re getting a car that passes MVI) and I’m sure I’m forgetting a few other things.

Terrible. Took the car for an oil leak. Needed seal between engine and transmission. After my apt they charged 450 and did not fix the issue!!! They changed oil and filter and another seal for the oil pan without asking. engine oil was still leaking as usual no change. That was last week. This week took my car to the dealership, they advised the seal on the oil pan was not changed!!! so I paid 450 for topping up my oil....Never Again! car owners beware!

I am visiting from out of town and had an accident with a family member's car. I got estimates from 4 body shops and Master Auto came out the best with a quicker start time. As a woman, I'm always nervous about going into auto shops (mechanical or auto body) because I've been ripped off before. However, Fred Mina is honest and will give you a fair price. The car was ready when Fred said it would be and it looked better than it did before my accident. I'm grateful for the great service.
