I've used Maaco when my car was rear ended and when an improperly secured carport flew into my vehicle and they've always been great. Their rates are competitive and staff are eager to answer any questions or concerns. They also treated me as an equal, whereas some car places speak to women as though they are clueless. My vehicle looked like new when Maaco was finished with it. Hopefully I won't need their services again but would definitely recommend them. They also did a courtesy clean which is a nice touch :)

Dealt with a guy named Cleve, and he was professional, knowledgeable and honest. Called him on a Monday morning and he was able to get me an estimate for some damage to the front of my car within the hour. Not only was he able to get me in the same week, his quotation was spot on. Hands down the best customer service.

Well this is unfortunately my second time to take my car to Maaco my wife did the dammage this time :). As my first repair they did an excellent job. I was expecting the car to be in the shop for 5 days but got it back to 2 days earlier. Again thank you Dartmouth Maaco for your excellent customer services and to make my car looked like new again. 1 repair :My brand new car bumper needed some repair. I got an estimate from Tavnor and carefully explain all the process. I was promised the cars in 3 days and they deliver right on time. The estimate was right on and the car looks amazing. The job looks spectacular I can't even tell where was the starches and dents on the bumper. Extremely happy with the result and would recommend Maaco Dartmouth to anyone. Overall great experience and it's a very clean shop.

Due to my horrible luck with vehicles, I have taken each of my last 3 cars into Maaco for one type of body repair or another. It really is a painless experience. Rental cars, getting your vehicle back to your dealership for necessary calibration steps, they've handled everything quickly and professionally. Great communication thru out the process. Rob at the front desk is fantastic and came out to walk me thru what work needed to be done (and was able to help out on some other repairs for me as well). My car had been in a hit and run where someone rammed the rear driver side of my car. It involved a bit of body work and my car was sent to Maaco by the dealership... the overall experience with Maaco was good but upon picking up my car I noticed the tail light was still damaged from the accident... Cleve took ownership of this and got me in right away to have it replaced. The same day I got the tail light fixed, I noticed the brake light had now burnt out on the passenger side. When replacing it I found a bumper bolt was not tightened around the trunk area... I assumed it was just a one-off case where they just missed it but then I had another mechanic working on the back of my car about a week later to put a trailer hitch on. He told me that there were a bunch of loose bolts under my bumper and he didn't know why. Edit: At the time of this experience, I had just lost a job which I relocated to Halifax for and was planning on moving to back Ontario. My car just so happened to get smashed up right before I was supposed to leave. The shop knew I was planning to drive a long distance as the manager and the guy behind the front desk mentioned it a few times to me during my exchanges with them. I was never rude with the shop when interacting with them and this was the first time I had ever had to deal with a body shop post-collisison. I was also out $1000 due my insurance deductible because I never imagined someone would do a hit and run on my car as I usually keep it stored in secure places. I ended up having to get a mechanic to do a full check of the rear of my car before setting off because I was so scared something was going to go wrong due to the multiple loose bolts we found on the bumper area. A few days after posting this review, Maaco responded to me on social media asking me to email them to discuss further. I did email them but months later and nobody ever did contact me back to offer any sort of explanation, apology or compensation.

I initially went in for a free quote to see how much my repairs would cost. Rob was very informative on the process and provided me with very detailed next steps to start the repairs on my vehicle. I contacted SGI and 2 weeks later my parts were ordered and work began on my vehicle. They are very cooperative and they do their best to work with you and your schedule. They also paid for my rental car while my vehicle was being repaired. I was contacted a few business days later to pick up my car and by my surprise, the car was cleaned on the inside and out. Rob and his team went above and beyond to take care of me and my vehicle for someone who had no idea what they were doing! I definitely would recommend Maaco to anyone and return if ever I need more repairs done on my vehicle.

We have a small summer camp business that required some restoration of 2 large sprinter vans and 2 matching trailers (all used vehicles to begin with) done in a way that brought them back to NEW ensured they were safe and ready for the camp season. Cleve Isenor has been our go-to at Maaco Dartmouth since we started on this venture and has given us the best of advice on how to do this type of work sensibly and affordably. He made this project into right sized adventure ensuring top quality work from prep, to paint, to logos, new rims, window seals. I'd only consider taking this venture further, and possibly bringing a small school bus into our fleet (one day) - - because guys like Cleve make it possible. You won't find better than this.

This has been a fantastic experience from start to finish. My driverside door had dropped due to loose bolts and was hitting the door strike and water was getting in around the seals. Richard was very knowledgeable and helpful on the phone. In person he was friendly and willing to help. I even completely missed an appointment due to an illness and they are more than willing to reschedule at my convenience. I brought my car over to do the work and Wade was extremely good, fast and courteous on getting the door leveled and the hinges fixed. He made sure I was completely satisfied then protected the bolts. Top notch service! This is THE place to go for your auto care needs!

Over priced and they don't seem to want to accommodate special cases, I had a front fender that needed to be replaced/painted, I supplied the parts. I just wanted to paint the fender but they wanted to blend into my hood door and the A pillar. I was quoted close to a grand when I was able to get another reputable professional paint shop in Burnside to have the paint scanned and matched perfectly with a price tag just over 300. In my experience they just wanted to bill my job by the book and wouldn't work with me.

Before my lease was up on my import, I went to visit Justin and the team at Maaco to get some scratches, dents, and my bumper checked over. The bumper had been scraped by another car about a month prior, and I had two small dents from car doors hitting my car. Justin and his team worked with me to fix the scratches, and do repairs for a minimal fraction of the amount I assume the dealership would charge on the close of my lease. When I needed work done on my beloved car after a run-in with the steel beam surrounding a cart corral at the grocery store, my dealership suggested Maaco as one of their preferred repair places. I hadn't really been through anything like this before so I didn't even know what to to and I was a bit flustered. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone patiently explained the process and I headed over immediately. Within minutes of my arrival the estimator was already taking a look at the damage. Again, I know nothing about fixing cars, but everything was explained to me patiently and in a way I could understand. It was late Thursday afternoon when I went in for the estimate, they said they would order the parts and I should be able to bring the car in on Monday morning and get it back Tuesday afternoon. Despite running into an extra bit of damage that was not visible until the front bumper had been disassembled, my car was ready Tuesday afternoon looking brand new. I'm so happy with the work done, the very reasonable price, and the excellent customer service I received. I will highly recommend this place to friends and family anytime the need arises. Thanks again guys!

They may like to waste their money, but they apparently also didn't care about wasting my time. MAACO however took good care of me, answering all of my questions, keeping me updated. I took my car into Maaco, following a recommendation after items fell from a truck in front of me, damaging my front bumper and valance. I dealt with Wade MacKay, who very quickly gave me some advice that was both professional and real world, which i was very grateful of. The vehicle was booked in quickly after receiving a reasonable quote. I dropped it in at 0930hrs on Monday and by 1400hrs on Tuesday it was all ready! I couldn't believe it, especially when i saw the quality of the paint repair, AND they even cleaned it for me, inside & out. I brought my car to Maaco on Higney Avenue to get an estimate done as my car was starting to get a few rust bubbles on the rear panels. I had bought a 10 year rust package for my car when I bought it brand new in 2012. So Honda, advised me to go see Maaco as they would be the ones that would do the repairs. Upon arrival I was talking with Cleve, who is the Manager at Maaco. He was very nice and knew what was going on right away. He also told me that he could fix some other old damage I had on my car from 2013 as well. After hearing back from the Warranty company he sent me an estimate on what they were covering and what I would owe for any difference and to get the other minor damage fixed. The price was excellent. A few days later, Cleve told me that he could reduce the price a bit more which was great news. We agreed on a date and time for my car to be dropped off. Upon picking up my car 8 days later, the receptionist went over the invoice and told me there was another reduction in price, this I assume was due to the car not being ready the day before due to the employee working on my car not being available that day. So, another reduction in price to wait an extra day was amazing customer service. Once I went to get in my car to leave, I looked at all the work done and was extremely happy with it. They even detailed the car inside and out. Also, took note that my summer floor mats I had in the trunk were arranged nicely for me as I just had them in the trunk all over. I was told "a Google review goes a long way these days". This was before I seen the results of my fix. So hopefully this will go a long way. My car was returned to me with the door not properly installed. Being newly painted it had paint chipped off the edge, as if it hit something during the installation process. There was brown stuff all over the top on the door panel which wasn't even clipped in on the top. Also now has a indent in the soft touch part of the door panel, and pieces of the door panel that don't come off have evidence of trying to be pried off. This brown stuff was also in two spots on the back seat. I was supposed to have a scratch buffed on the passenger side rear fender, except it didn't happen and I was told they did it. When I brought the car back to have the door fixed I was told they had buffed the wrong side... Which would be useless because there was no scratch there...AND some plastic trim pieces under the hood are misaligned and not fastened. I'll never bring my car there again, their attention to detail was non-existent, and I found the lies and lack of communication between employees disappointing. Best of luck if you go there.

Tavnor’s estimate was exact down to penny and time it would be ready. My vehicle looks new and the interior was cleaner than when I brought it in for repair Richard and Cleve were a joy to deal with. Highly recommend Maco Dartmouth!

Went in to get an estimate, had never been to a Maaco before. The front counter-person was very knowledgeable about everything and explained things in clear terms. Unfortunately, the price of the repair wasn't worth the fix, but she still took the time to go through the process so that I could attempt to do it myself. Great customer service on this first visit. Was blown away at the 'over and above' stuff they did that was not part of the deal: They washed and shined my ENTIRE vehicle, and even cleaned the INTERIOR!!! Recently had some repair completed on my Acura MDX after someone had backed into it. I was dreading the process of getting it fixed. Maaco made it seamless. Cleve had a look at it, walked me through how the process would work and how long it would take. Richard called to book me in after the parts arrived for the repair. Minutes after arriving to drop my vehicle for repair the rental company arrived with my loaner vehicle that Richard had arranged. They called the exact day they estimated it would be ready! When I went to pick the MDX up it was spotless inside and out and the repairs were perfect. It was a smooth process, the service was great and the workmanship was high quality! Highly recommend Maaco!

I really didn't know what to expect - I am used to dealing with dealerships that are very one directional which is to do everything no matter the cost. I dropped in to see how much it would cost to deal with a little scrape and dent. Rob came out and looked at my truck without an appointment, provided lots of information on what could be done in a affordable way and polished out some damage to make it less noticeable. Great place to go, I will keep them in mind when I have a larger need in the future!

Had a new bumper put on my car over a year ago...from day 1 the bumper did not fit...it's hanging off the sides I've been back over n over they say nuthin they can do...over 1000 dollars for a part that does not fit. They also messed up my lights they did not work for weeks so could not drive ...they also took a part they ruined ..sent it back 4 me ...I've never heard back from them..thats another 100 bucks out the window...DO NOT GO HERE

I was involved in a 2 motor vehicle collisions in 3 months, both of which were not my fault. The first time I allowed my insurance company to choose the body shop, and after a terrible end result the second time, with the damage being more severe I decided to try Maaco after a consult with their google reviews. I am definitely glad that I did. Cleve took the time to show me my vehicle once it had been taken apart, and specifically areas that were touched up improperly by the previous repair. Though, the result was my vehicle being deemed a total loss, Cleve and Richard were professional, patient, kind and considerate. Knowing my injuries they helped me by switching my winter tires to summers before my vehicle was towed away, and they loaded them in the back of my rental with no questions asked. It really was a pleasant experience. I hope I don’t have to go this process again, but if I do, I know where I am going.

The awesomeness about this shop is that, 6 months later I went in again hoping to get the front plate holder attached as I have to move to another province.
