I am so beyond thrilled with the outcome of my kitchen cabinets! Okko and Kent really came through for us. I was in heavy nesting mode, pregnant with our first baby, and had to have the kitchen "face lift" finished before his March 9th due date. True Blue Painting was able to complete our job well before that time and was even able to fit us into an earlier time slot since we had our back splash already installed and our paint colour picked out. Okko is a pleasure to work with - very informative, upfront and honest (listen to his advice and directions!) and Kent did a fabulous job patching our horrible crown molding cracks and numerous holes left by the previous owners. All of our friends swore we got new kitchen cabinets. They look that good! I highly recommend True Blue Painting.

True Blue resurfaced my kitchen cabinets. Their workmanship is some of the best I've seen (I'm in commercial construction). The in situ painting is almost indistinguishable from the shop spray-on painting. Great customer service and follow up to correct one minor defect. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I'd totally recommend True Blue and would work with them again if I have a new project.

We commissioned True Blue to do a refresh on our existing kitchen cabinets. These had been showing signs of wear, possibly due to low initial quality work, and needed a refresh, but the cabinets themselves were sound. True Blue came at the appointed time to give us a quotation for the work, they made clear the options and colours, and the means by which they would be proceeding. A time was promptly arranged, the cabinet faces were removed for spray painting, and the on-site painting was done in the interim. Again, this was done at specified times, promptly and efficiently. The spray painting completed, the faces were re-installed perfectly. The final result was excellent. About 3 weeks later we noticed a possible deficiency in a couple of corners, extremely minor stuff. We contacted True Blue, sent them a photo, and they came THE NEXT DAY, to remove and respray the pieces. No questions asked, and at no cost to us. There was no attempt to blame us for the problem, there was just a good faith attempt to work out what might have gone wrong on these bits. A very small thing, but they took it very seriously. In summary, they delivered what they promised, at the time and price they promised, and undertook exemplary after-sales service. They have our highest recommendation.

What a great experience! Prompt communication, through knowledge, great work and price. There are none of the usual contractor "games" They show up on time and the work is completed to the letter of the contract. Any issues that show up are also dealt with quickly without any renegotiation of cost. They are also honest in what they can accomplish with your cabinets. They say a picture says a thousand words and boy does it ever! I am blown away by my "new" kitchen cabinets. You would never know that this is the same kitchen and bathroom and they now nicely tie into the backsplash and counters. My cabinets were in great shape and I didn't want to install new ones, so opted to have them refinished. The level of service provided by True Blue Painting was second to none. They had excellent and timely communication. Explained the entire process, including the timelines and they stuck to them. 5 Stars is not just enough ! When deciding to update our kitchen I was a little hesitant to have the cabinets refinished as I did not think the end product would be close to the same quality as a new factory finish. So I decided to check out Google and see what was our there for refinishers and came across True Blue who had lots of 5 star reviews. I suspect most people are looking for a simple formula when hiring a contractor / professional: strong service, an excellent product, at a decent price. True Blue Painting fit the bill. They were very, very, very clear about the process, what I could expect, the timing, and the price. In the end, my cabinets (which were solid wood) came out looking 100% new. No one would ever be able to tell that they were newly painted. Of course, I love my kitchen now and we're happy at the added value to our home for a what I consider a reasonable price. True Blue did a fantastic job of painting our kitchen cabinets to a level that our friends and family are in awe when they see how great the cabinets look. Kent took his time and was very meticulous in his work and made sure to leave the kitchen clean and his paint supplies put away so we could use our kitchen when he left for the day. I really appreciated how Okko took his time to explain the whole process and he also made sure that I was happy with my colour decision. He also was very careful to remove and replace the cabinet doors and also made any nessasary adjustments to ensure the cabinet drawers and doors were re-hung properly. Well after a week of enjoying our new kitchen I noticed that two of our drawer fronts had been scratched. I called Okko to have them repaired and I fully expected to pay for the re-paint. Okko came over and took the fronts for re-paint, within 2 days he was back and re-installed the drawer fronts which looked great. I asked how much the cost was and Okko said that there was no charge. What a nice surprise considering he came from North Vancouver to Richmond twice. Be prepared for a long and intense consultation where he'll go over everything with you and make sure everyone is on the same page. These are all good things because then there is very little that will go wrong. Okko helped us realized the colour we had originally picked wasn't a good call and recommended a colour that we wouldn't have usually considered, but seeing the kitchen now, it's fantastic. He was spot on with his recommendation. They were bang on with all of their schedules and the quality of their work is top notch. The thing that sealed the deal for us was their quality of commutation - we cut ties with our original painter because of poor communication and have no regrets after switching to True Blue Painting.
