Stewarts Decorating has hand sanitizer at the door, plastic barriers at the cash, Curb side pickup and if you are wearing a mask you are welcome to do that (All the same protocols as Walmart). Why is it that Walmart can have over 100 people at a time, not always social distancing and people who cannot wear a mask in their store. But then Small business have 3 – 4 customers safely shopping at a time? Weird Walmart has had multiple Covid cases, but small businesses haven't??

Heard of her stance to remain open. Wish I lived in Ontario to go to her shop. We need more Canadians like this who will stand up for FREEDOM!! If you don’t stand for freedom now don’t even bother wearing a poppy come November because you have no idea what it means. The people saying this business owner doesn’t care about people dying of covid are also by that same standard the kind of people who don’t care of the people committing suicide, the marriages ending in divorce, the children and youth sinking in depression, the people being left penniless and slaves to the state. These are also the same people who didn’t care about covid in January and February of 2020 when we could have mitigated its spread. They only started caring once the cbc stopped putting doctors on saying it was just a flu lol

I’m going to admit I have never shopped in your store. But for those that have given you one star because they don’t like that you’re open and standing up for OUR rights, I will give you five stars! As a life-long Benjamin Moore paint user, there was no question that I would be shopping here. I was also very happy to support a locally owned business. I’ve been in the store many times, pre-Covid and was satisfied with the service and loved the selection for beautiful home decor. However, I visited the store twice recently for paint swatches and not one employee was wearing a face mask or maintaining a social distance from me. I understand that it’s your choice whether or not to wear a mask but it’s also my choice to take my business to Sturgeon Falls for paint. Quite disappointing.

After being made aware that this business endangers the health of it's customers by not wearing masks (nor believing that they work) or social distancing, I will not be supporting it. So many of us have sacrificed so much during the pandemic and had to learn to adapt. We have respected the vulnerable among us and tried to prevent covid from spreading here. Now that we have VOC here, we need to be proactive. Business owners such as Stewart's who think they are exempt from covid should not be praised. It is unfortunate the owner has decided to take such a stance and yet relies on the community for her business. Edit: to respond to owner's comments. I have shopped at your store before and I am disappointed in what you are doing considering we are a community and need to work as a community. Your opinions are online, on video for all to hear and see. You have organized a protest in which a majority of people were not social distancing nor wearing masks. We have people dying in the community because of this virus. So if you really cared about this community, you'd follow covid mandates and adhere to them.

Johanna Brooks explained my options and helped me make a great choice. She placed the order and told me when to expect them. Low and behold, I received a call Friday (earlier then expected) that Mike (the installer) would be here Monday. He did a great job and didn't leave until I was perfectly satisfied with my purchase and installation. What a great experience -- no fuss, no muss. Just great local service at it's finest!!! The store is beautifully laid out with an extensive inventory of window/wall covering, lighting, flooring, and decor, it truly is a one stop shop. Stewarts Decorating is the absolute best place to go for everything you need when it comes to design for your home or commercial space. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, kind, accomodating and dedicated to their customer base. It’s a real shame that I am seeing people review her store by spewing personal attacks on the owner and her fight for ALL small businesses and for the future of you, your children and grandchildren. The time of these angry uniformed individuals would be better spent having real, informed, critically thought conversations about what’s happening in our community. Alexandra is bar none the MOST loving and kind person I know. She wants transparency, science and just cause from our local leaders and health unit. Her business is how she feeds her family and her employees feed theirs. Everyone has a different struggle in this and I think that kindness goes a lot further than angry keyboard warriors who want to slam strong determined freedom fighters who do not follow the narrative and ask questions. Good for you Alexandra and Stewarts Decorating, you have done what many wanted to but have not. You are in fact trying to do the OPPOSITE of “ killing” people and want answers. You have mine and my family’s support 100%.
