This store is amazing never mind that it's probably the oldest store of its kind in Nelson all you need to do is walk through the doors to see you won't need to go anywhere else for your art and business supplies. They carry all the usual items Paints brushes sculpting, paper, office supplies etc but they also carry things you will not expect like spray Paints some of which are impossible to find elsewhere including brands from around the world in colors you probably didn't even know existed. The prices are competitive even on items where there is no local compitition. Most of the items are cheaper here than even online. The location is great it's downtown but not right downtown so finding parking etc is not an issue as they have their own parking lot. Wether your a noob or seasoned vet y ou will find everything your looking for and probably many you didn't you were. The staff is fast friendly never pushy or rude and they really know their stuff.

Everything in the store is over priced!! If you want to spend twice as much for the same product shop here. Or you can go to elsewhere and purchase everything for half the price. If you love to waste your money.. shop here. So far today, from just sharing my awful experience..... 4 people I know have had issues with this store. They have a reputation for being quite rude. Not a good way to run a business... being rude to locals. ouch !! One girlfriend I spoke to said that an owner or employee screamed at her for 5 minutes cause she accidently parked there once. Who yells at potential employees and income sources?? Shes a realtor... spends tons on office supplies!! I purchased an item and left my car for just over an hour after telling the clerk id be back to purchase more. I had about 600$ in cash on me ... that I was looking to spend. Won't ever spend a cent here.On top of this... the man working there insulted me calling me privledge.. well actually the reason i was there is cause my car roof is broken and didn't want what i had just purchased to get stolen. Figured the place i just shopped at would understand and not insult me over it and then charge me 50$ to take a boot off my car!! they don't even donate it ... they keep it for themselves haha who does that to customers. I would give a warning ..especially since I have never done that before and DID NOT see the signs because i was on my phone !! . And i know two past employees that work there and they have had terrible experiences. TRY to improve how you treat people please !! 50$ you made off of me, my friends and family today.. hundreds and hundreds you lose. Enjoy the 50$ . Can I please return items i have purchased in the past ????

Took a course which was okay, but they don't allow you to park in the parking lot. Too busy they said. I think I counted 6 customers the 2.5 hours we were there. Street parking was only 2 hours and one of us got a ticket. I will not be back.

Use to shop here regularly, today my wife shopped here then left for 20min to run and grab one more thing. When she came back after being a paying customer the owner of the store had put a boot on our vehicle which in the process of doing scratched our vehicles rim and then charged her $50 cash to remove the boot. Do not shop anywhere that treats customers this way. My wife asked for a receipt for the $50 cash which the owner reluctantly gave as I’m sure he will not be reporting it as income. I would not shop here again and I highly recommend no one else does, Nelson is a small town and word gets around easily of service like this. Shame on you!
