We had an initial meeting with Stephan, he was prompt and professional. We agreed to have the ceiling painted in our kitchen. The job some how went terribly wrong.Stephan was very apologetic, had the home cleaned top to bottom. The affected areas were repainted, his communicated with us throughout the process and made the absolute best out of a bad situation. It’s when things don’t go right that you truly get to know the quality of the company you’re doing business with. We can say that Stephan and his team are amazing and we simply can’t recommend them enough. We definitely with be using Rivers Side Painting in the future!

The day after they finished one of the newly finished walls was damaged by furniture delivery people. Called fully expecting a delay before they could repair...it was done the next day. We had our character house painted by Riverside last year. The quote stated that our house would be pressure washed prior to painting, but this did not occur. In addition, the prep of the painting surface was definitely not adequate and only minimal scraping and priming occurred. As a result, we experienced significant paint blistering to two sides of our house and the paint on our back stairs peeled off after the first two months. I brought up my concerns about the bubbling paint with Stephan and it was scraped off (not even sanded) and repainted. Again the proper prep did not occur and not surprisingly the bubbling has returned and multiplied. It should be noted that we did not have any issues with blistering paint prior to this painting job. As the quote stated there is a two year guarantee on any job, so I once again contacted Stephan to tell him about my concerns. I was told it could be repainted but the bubbling would just keep coming back due to the old paint lifting underneath. I have asked for it to be repainted, but have had no reply from the company. Definitely would have expected more for almost $7000.

From day 1, Stephan was professional, friendly, and honest. His quote was competitive. He was punctual, and a good communicator. All work was completed to our complete satisfaction. As with any project, there were a couple glitches, but theses were minor, and addressed immediately. His staff were great. Devon, Jason, and Chris did the majority of the work here, and they were punctual, polite, and respectful. No loud music, no smoking, no negative aspects. All clearly took pride in their work. We have extensive gardens, and they were mindful of our plants with both prep and painting. He billed us what he said he would, even including a couple extra areas which were not within the quote! We are very pleased with Riverside.

We had the whole house painted. Had just purchased the house and it looked dingy. Stefan seemed very knowledgeable as he toured the house, giving us some helpful hints to consider. The painters came every morning, they worked hard all day, they were courteous, they did some extras for us in the time allotted. And they finished on time. The house looks great! Was told that the cedar trim would be wire brushed and cleaned up to look better before the stain was applied, and that a crew of 2 to 3 painter's would complete the job in 2 days or better and would be given a few days notice before they would show. Was given a call the day before to see of it was ok to come do the job as another client needed to change there schedule, I agreed. The next day one painter and stefan showed up did a quick test area for the stain color and we agreed on it. The painter then spent a total of 7 hrs staining the trim without wire brushing pr attempting to remove any of the weathered look of the cedar that we wanted dealt with. The original quote was for 2300$ and after voicing my dissatisfaction, stefan asked me what I though I should have to pay...... this was very disappointing to have to here he then offered to have the guy come and redo the job but with 2 coats of stain on I my opinion it is to late, he offered to remove 400$ for the quote and not being one to argue I just said yes and paid. So 1900$ for 7 hours labour from one painter. THATS 274$ per hour for the service I paid for with riverside, some how I can't help feel that I was ripped off
