I had a paint job done by this company about a year ago. At first I was very impressed. When you have your entire house painted in 3 days it is overwhelming and such a big change it looked great! I still feel that all the painters and the owner/operator were great to deal with but the overall product seems like a rushed job. The finished product when you look closely lacks attention to detail- something you don’t notice when you are overwhelmed with a whole-house paint job. I feel we paid a lot and do not feel this point (and for some months now) that the finished job matched the price we paid. When they ask you to look over your house really do it, slowly and methodically so you not finding paint on you baseboards, spots missed behind the toilet etc 6 months later.

I just got the painting completed 2 days back, and the work is simply outstanding. The gentleman Sohail is very professional and explained all things related to the paint job, and then we got a zero-VOC paint. His contractors were on-time, and did a very remarkable job, no mess at all, finished off all 3 floors within 2-days, most work was done on day1 itself. Exterior paint was done as well. The paint color selection by the designer provided Merife was too good, and we got 7 colors to match-up with whole house. The actual paint job was well done however the service not so good. I emailed after the jod was done regarding a wallpaper installation the owner told me he'd get me a contact for and he ignored my email. At that time I would have like to discuss the overall job but i can't hear back from them. Also we never got any call or email to follow up after the job was complete. They got their money and now they're gone. The 2 stars is for the painters that came to the house but I don't reccomend them unless you don't care about customer service. UPDATE: The owner of five star reached out to me after reading my previous review and I have to credit him for doing everything to make things right. I was able to get my wall paper installed through one of his colleagues at a very reasonable price and he came to my home and made sure that we were satisfied with the job. He explained to my wife that he doesn't normally do follow ups unless there's a specific reason to as he has full confidence in his team. That being said I have to add this review even if it means I'm recanting my previous one. It's good to see the entire process anyway so that's why I'll leave the first review up. When a company takes as much time and effort to clear up any misunderstandings it has to be mentioned. After this total experience I would use five star again for any job I needed. So after everything is said and done I reccomend them!!

I had a really great experience with Fivestar painting. The service was very prompt and efficient. They were really focused on providing a great customer experience. My call was attended right away by Landra who was very courteous over the phone and scheduled an estimate for the very next day. Sohail came for the estimate and was very detailed and thorough with his consultation and selected some excellent paints for me. I was provided with a free color consultation with Pascal. The session exceeded my best expectations. She spent an unbelievable amount of time with me helping me pick the colors and was available over the phone later as well. The job was scheduled within a couple of weeks of the estimate. Everything was done right, on time, and on budget as Sohail had promised. The painters were truly gifted and very focused on making me happy and satisfied. I would recommend these guys over and over.

The overall experience was great. The most I loved was the attention to detail at the time of estimation and the time of picking the colours and the work itself. I was listened to very well and never said no. I also loved the fact that there was a contribution made on my behalf to planting trees and provided a certificate which I have kept as a souvenir. She is amazing to work with since she has a positive attitude and was willing to explain which colours were suitable for our home. Due to the ceiling and wall height over the staircase, I needed to outsource this job. I was worried that scaffolding would be required and that the cost would be prohibitive. I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case at all - no scaffolding was required and the cost was quite reasonable. Sohail was very knowledgeable, friendly and earned my trust right away. The popcorn ceiling removal was done with great care and attention to detail. The finished ceiling was completely smooth. I really appreciated the commitment to quality as this is by nature a tough job. The painters did a very professional, efficient job. They were friendly and accomodating. The workmanship was excellent and also the general interaction with the office during the job setup and with Armia during the job was top level. The painting crew lead by Bahzad completed the painting of our entire main floor, hallways and second floor faster than initially estimated. Bahzad and his team did a fantastic job at our house. The scope was huge; paint everything every where. From baseboards to walls, windows, doors, etc. We had gone through major renovations which included new hardwood and carpet floors as well as new stairs. Five Star sent two teams; one to scrape and fix the ceiling and one to do the actual painting job. Both were great. Everything was well covered and protected. Very easy to work with. They transformed the house and finished earlier than expected. Will definitely have them again.

Honestly one of the best services I’ve called. I haven’t had painters this amazing since I hired Rios Painters in San Francisco. Coming home from a year in the US I found my house in a very sorry state indeed. Cleaning, painting, and new flooring were inevitable. I hired some other painters who seemed ok, but turned out to be novices who had no idea what they were doing. I never had to fire a contractor before. But I was in the lurch without a hope because my furniture was arriving from the US in a matter of days and now I had no painter. Sohail managed to work around my schedule, to send his people after the flooring was done but before the furniture arrived. Behzad, Ali, and Oskar came early Sunday morning (on a Sunday!) and worked until 5, painting the entire house, including minor repairs, baseboards, some ceilings, and even replaced the lightbulbs in a very hard to reach area for me!!! I’m six months pregnant with a workaholic husband and could never have replaced those lights myself!! Such sweet, friendly guys!!! But that would be nothing if the work was poor - which it was not! It was clean, expertly done with beautiful, steady lines. These guys are really professional and do excellent work. Next time I need a painter I will certainly call Sohail and ask for the same three guys. Amazing. Very reasonable price too. High quality Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams paint and minor wall repairs were included in the price. Highly recommend this company and these three great guys.

We had a great experience with Five Star Painting, who painted our entire ground floor and upstairs - walls, doors, baseboards, window ledges, and some spots of drywall repair. Would highly recommend. Sohail was extremely professional and thorough in his appraisal and quote, talking us through exactly how they would work: the quality of paint they would use, the expected time the job would take, what we needed to do to prepare for the work, and the fact we can feel safe and confident in his crew (which we certainly did). He also price-matched when we received a lower quote from another company. The crew were on time, came fully prepared knowing what they were doing, and were very friendly, professional, and efficient. What was slated to be a two-day job was completed in a little over 8 hours on one day by a crew of 6 - primer and two coats of paint on the entirety of two floors of our house. They even left behind the significant amount of remaining paint they had so we can do our own touch-ups etc. in the future and largely cleaned up after themselves. No complaints at all, other than a few bits of paint here and there on non-painted surfaces, which we can clean up with little issue. Highly recommend, would use again.

I would recommend using any company but this company. I scheduled an appointment to have a contractor come provide me with a free estimate. The estimate was scheduled, and I was told that I'd get an e-mailed confirmation. The confirmation never came so I called back to make sure that I still had the appointment. The second time I called, they confirmed the appointment and sent me an e-mail. The day of the estimate, the contractor never showed up. I've moved onto a new company now. Very unprofessional.

I had some renovations done in my house. One of the walls was moved and the ceiling needed patching. A friend recommended five star painting. They were very easy to approach and scheduled the work right away. The work was done very well within 2 days and the ceiling is now seamless. Very impressed with the service professionalism and quality of work.

i had my condo 800square feet painted in etobicoke. it was poorly done. i was not happy with the look after painting. the agent came to my home to provide the free quote, where he saw all the patches that needed repair and was notified of my colour choices. the price was matched with other local painters and beat by 5%. the job was scheduled over two days, however it turned into a five day ordeal. the painters did not use any tape on edges, so the baseboards and ceiling are wavy . it does not look professional at all. during inspection the painters told me i was expecting a good quality job but i wasn't paying thousands of dollars so i shouldn't expect such quality. i would say the motto of the company does not stand by its work. the painters were easy to speak with and polite, however the work they do is not stellar.

You will not be disappointed with the Professional painting team of team leader Felix and his assistant Luis! They were punctual, personable, competent, and detailed ! I was very comfortable having both of them working in my home and was very pleased with the results! Once the initial call was placed to the company, I received immediate call back within minutes to schedule a free quotation by the manager. The morning of the visit, I got another call advising me the rep was on his way. I was not pressured and was given a detailed explanation and information package to keep. Once I confirmed that I wished to proceed, the appointment was scheduled at a very convenient time. I would highly recommend this company for price, quality of work and response time!

5 Star Painting is a franchise. You may get great reviews on some franchisee, BUT you may not get the same service all the time. I paid for exterior window and door painting of my house in Mississauga thinking they have 5 star reviews on line. The workmanship was sloppy and rushed. They hire sub contractors to do the work, so you may not get the same crew from the "excellent" reviewed jobs. One of the guys did not speak English, and was not properly trained on respecting the customer's home. He walked into my house with dirty work boots. They walked all over my flower bed killing my plants. I had to make them re-sand and repaint certain area as the finish was rough and uneven. The quote was unclear, so there was a disagreement on what was quoted and what was to be done. I had to go around to make sure all the windows were not painted shut. The new caulking around the window frames were rough and applied sloppily. The painter fixed what I asked, but overall I was disappointed at the sloppy workmanship. I would never hire them again. They left me the cans of paint, I will have to go around to finish the job to my satisfaction. Buyers BEWARE!!!

The estimator (Sohail) was very detailed with his presenattion. They provided me with a free color consulation with their color conslutant (Pascal) - who i must say was very helpful and thorough. They scheduled and finished teh job as per commitment. The crew did a very nice job and their Foreman (Prem) was very friendly and helpful.

Merife has to be the best interior designer I have come across and helped us in a few things besides the colour selection. The colours flowed very well.
