We have the feddbacks of people who used the products of Days Inn by Wyndham Golden (Painter) in Lake Louise area (Canada).
Right now this business receives a score of 3.6 over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is very positive, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we can think that the evaluation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
Room feels more like a motel than a hotel. It is run down but fairly clean. Breakfast was warm and good. …
Do not stay here, they have BEDBUGS!
Staff are so friendly and you see them always working hard. The hotel may not be modern but the kindness made up for it. They actually called our suite mid day asking if we needed anything because we missed room service.
THey have a very limited number of tv channels.
Very disappointed! When I was using the towel after my shower I saw a blonde hair on the towel. I am Asian and have black hair so I was very surprised to when I saw it. I checked the other towel, same thing I saw some strands of hair. It means they don’t change the towel every time, especially right now with pandemic its very important to change towel and linens everytime the guest check out. The reason we checked in in this hotel is because of the pool, but when we got into our room we decided to just sleep and we left early in the morning. ????
The pool was ice cold, the room was way too hot even with the a/c on, the wifi sucked so bad I kept it turned off and the included breakfast was borderline inedible. To top it off we got a "deal" on the room for $120 for the night...I just finished touring BC staying in hotels and got a hotel in downtown vancouver and in the middle of whistler village for that kind of money and they were both great. I mentioned all of this to the staff in the morning and was basically told they didn't care because all of the rooms were sold that night.
Not clean. There was a used towel still hanging up in our bathroom. Door lock batteries were dead and so we couldn’t get into our room. Run down…they made upgrades, but they are cheap. Very expensive for what we got. $260 with taxes. We understand it’s in Golden, but I wouldn’t pay over $60 for this room. Unless there are no other options left in Golden, I would highly recommend staying elsewhere.
Clean and tidy room. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves good quality at the right price.
We stayed in a pet friendly room. Floor was extremely dirty and towels were stained. We went to the pool, which was fabulous and very clean! When we returned to the room, we had hundreds of ants crawling on the floor. Tried to call the front desk, the phone wouldn’t worked, had to use cell phone. I requested a new room immediately, which they provided, but did say that ants were normal in these rooms. Ummm no thank you. Unacceptable. The next room was slightly better, but still filthy floors and during a shower the tub wouldnt drain. No “sorry” or credit or anything. Would not recommend this hotel at all.
We had a pleasant stay here while travelling during the holidays. Will be coming back next time!
Clean comfortable room, price included hot breakfast. Used hotel restaurant for dinner, very tasty.
One of the worst experience in my life. I wish i can do more than this. Bath tub was blocked.Steins on bed sheets stinky pillows. Bugs on carpet. Mosquitos in room.
Beautiful location especially if your room is in the back of the hotel !! Clean room with a decent kitchen, a tiny Keurig in our room, lovely housekeeping staff !! The restaurant on site is Italian and mostly meat and cheese, we didn’t try it. We were allowed to set up our charcoal BBQ in the back parking lot, the bottom level is pet friendly. Complimentary breakfast served from 8-10am, eggs bacon and hash browns, waffles and pancakes also.
The quality of continental breakfast varies from day to day and it went from sausage and bacon on one day to just bacon and potatoes the next day. The building resembles more like a motel. There were missed spots from painting on toilet fixtures that is just not something you expect to see in decent hotel rooms. The AC in the room was dated and the Keurig machine was not thoroughly cleaned as there was visible calcium buildup in it. The lamp cover was either faded or not cleaned. The room needs big upgrades and is not worth the price we are expected to pay.
The location is great the variaty of rooms makes it easy to cater for all family's or couples
Room was extremely poorly maintained - bathroom was gross
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in... Room was painted poorly with places half completed, wall had big crack and then cheaply patched... mildew all around bathtub... carpet was disgusting... bedspread had stain... Worst of all was the grinding noise that came every 5 minutes from the hot water pipes above my room #105 sounded like someone dragging a table across the floor. It stopped at about 7:30 am, I received no sleep that night. checked out at 9am, complained and some rude woman told me they "would investigate it, but had never heard of the problem before" I complained a little more and she just repeated we will investigate it with no other reply. I walked out and my family was telling me to go back in and speak to the Manager. I did and no Manager was available nor was the owner. I said something needs to be done about it, she rudely replied "I told you we would investigate the problem and then call you" well she didn't tell me they were going to call me until now. So as we are pulling out she gives my wife and I a dirty stare though her window. I should have read the reviews before reserving a room at this 1 Star Hotel. I don't want anything from them.. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
A very bright room, with two big beds and a wonderful view of the mountains. An amazing indoor pool with jacuzzi. It was top with kids !!
Very old and filthy property. Bugs all around and room had terrible odor. Very poorly maintained. Washroom vent not available and hot water supply is not reliable at all. Shower was broken. Worst house keeping and customer service. I won't go there again even if it's free. Please read the reviews and avoid this place at any cost. If you stay here you'll repent and that's guaranteed.
Good hotel at a decent price
If im being honest, disgusting. Toilets dont flush in either of the 3 rooms me and my family were in. Mold in every shower. Sauna floor is broken and tiles move when stepped on, Hot tub water looks dirty and so does the pool water. Vending machines near room 202 eat up money and dont give you it back. Dont stay here, i suggest the ramada or travelodge.
Not the most cleanest place. Location is great though.
Rooms are dirty, smell bad - reek of cigarettes. Parking obscured by giant metal and concrete block. Don't stay here. Edit to add: front desk did make it right by refunding our payment.
Room was good. Had a good time then cartied on with my trip
This is quite a disappointing place. We only got here by accident. It was about the only thing available, after our pre-booked accommodation cancelled our stay due to unforeseen circumstances. Upon checking in, Days Inn pre-authorizes Visa about 25% on top of what you should pay. Not much respect for the customer, who apparently is considered a bad guy until proven differently. If you happen to sleep on the parking lot side, you will have quite some noise from the Trans Canada Highway, but also of people talking loudly in the lot, late at night. The wifi really sucks. When the hotel is full, forget uploading pictures or surfing the internet. The staff claims this is due to the bad Golden internet, but really, the wifi in the lobby works great while the wifi in the rooms sucks. This turned out to be quite typical of the staff: blame others, don't try to fix own shortcomings. The breakfast is appalling. Everything plastic throwaway stuff. Environment? Days Inn doesn't care. No cheese slices, no ham. Airco on freezing to get you out of the breakfast area as quickly as possible. One morning potatoes were just cold as well. We had one meal in the restaurant. We ordered some white wine, but there was no wine cooler, the waiter said. When suggesting that a restaurant really should have a wine cooler, he eventually found a champagne cooler for us. No children's menu. And certainly no haute cuisine. Better to dine elsewhere. It's far from town, too far to walk. Three nights, but no extra shampoo. No new drinking glasses (plastics) every day either. Clearly this is a company that tries to save on costs as much as possible, and blames others if any fault. Cannot reason with staff, who are drilled to provide certain answers. For the price of this hotel, this is very disappointing and below standard. I will certainly not come back here, not with any other Days Inn, as staff clearly indicated that some of the shortcomings is "company policy". (Stayed three nights in August 2017)
It is not at all like it looks on the web site. We stepped back into the 70's
Wow. Clean rooms, Great view, great breakfast!!
Great place, amazing view! Diffently going to stay here if I pass through again!
Breakfast line up was very long due to covid measures. Long lineups make more chance of spread.
The customer service is here is ridiculously amazing! We got there early on a horribly rainy day, they rushed getting towels ready for us so the kids could swim, they were just always there when you needed someone. Rooms are basic, but clean, pool is good.
Summary: Underwear sitting pool side, artificial tasting eggs for breakfast, watered down orange juice. At first glance, this looks like a great property. We walked into a room and thought it was going to be amazing – we had one of the jacuzzi suites above the lobby and it was extremely large and open. The mountain views from our room were great, and the restaurant below seemed to be very good at shutting down around 11:00pm – 11:30pm to keep the noise to a minimum. But this is really where the positives ended. Pool: We went to the pool and when we went in found out the water was too cold to swim in. The pool was obviously not heated, and should have been closed since it was impossible to use. Then we turned around as we hurried out of the cold pool and noticed a pair of men’s underwear sitting next to a bench. Disgusted we walked around further and found there was more discarded clothing in one of the changing rooms as well. It was clear that no one cleans the pool area. Breakfast: Reading the reviews we were expecting a decent breakfast buffet but were thoroughly disappointed. The items were limited and did not change: artificial tasting eggs, sausage, breads, pastries, and yogurt. The seating area is small and if you come during the busy times will have a challenge finding a seat. The eggs tasted artificial, and were bad enough that I only had them on one day. What topped it off was the orange juice – it was clearly watered down every single day with one day being so bad you could barely taste the orange juice. Not that I wanted the watered down orange juice, but I wanted to see if it actually got better which it never did. Room Cleanliness: Our room was spacious, but was not cleaned very well on a daily basis. The floors were never swept and all the debris on the floor stayed there for the entire stay. The shower, while visually appealing, was full of limescale buildup all over the tile and chrome fixtures showing it had not been properly cleaned for months. From the outside this property has so much potential – but there is little attention to detail and it really shows.
Enjoyed the hash browns and sausage for breakfast.
Clean and spacious. Not much in the entertainment department
Staff was very helpful, made the difference for our stay. Good hot breakfast, facilities overall were in good shape. Would stay here again.
The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn't the best but it was free and hot.
Enjoyed my 2 night stay here when we traveled to Golden. I really liked the beds and was able to get a good night's rest. The pool area was clean and so were the grounds. Kids enjoyed the slide at pool. Staff were courteous and professional. We loved morning breakfast. Overall experience was excellent.
Clean and quiet motel. Service was friendly band professional. As it's outside of the main parts of town, we were happy to find a restaurant on site where we enjoyed a good meal on the patio. Minor complaint - I felt that they cheaped out on the in-room coffee. There's a Keurig machine in the room. However, we were provided with only two coffee pods (and two tea, which we don't drink) and had to request more from front desk. Creamer and sugar supply was also not enough for one person. The pods were Costco's Kirkland brand. Not only is that terrible coffee, but an obvious display of cost cutting which is an odd thing to do, imo, for a hospitality business.
Comfortable bed and pillows Breakfast tasted fresh and tasty.
Got a great room here the staff was pleasant and I enjoyed my stay don't have any complaints about this place
It had a great view, nice and quiet area. Lots of things to do around the area
Air conditioned room, indoor pool with waterside, continental breakfast. Minutes from downtown and very close to highway connector.
Staff was friendly and the room was spacious. They also have a decent pool with a water slide , hot tub and sauna. The restaurant served good food.. it was a but pricey but good. I would stay there again..
Awesome service. They went above and beyond for our traveling needs
Nothing wrong with the room, front desk and breakfast were great, but I'm pretty sure something bite me while I was sleeping as I have a nice red bump on the back of my thigh that wasn't there prior to arriving
