I like going here, but the orders are often wrong and the cocktails are watered down or poorly made. Sometimes they have the radio on and it cuts in and out. I WANT to like this place.

Great place to hang with a group and always great service and homemade food. Wing nights on Wednesday (2lbs for $11) is an especially good deal in town and quality brews on tap from northern Ontario breweries keeps things local. Try the Five O clock shadow from full beard and the sleeping giant from northern Brewing company.

It's our first time in KL & we were looking for a great meal. I mean we're a little picky. It needs to be homemade, clean and attention to detail is important. There were 10 of us and everything that came out of the kitchen was above our expectations.

Great food and friendly service. We went for lunch, my wife (who is celiac) had the nachos and loved them. She indicated her allergy when we ordered and they checked ingredients for her. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was very good. I ate it too fast so I didn't get a picture.

We waited an extremely long time for 2lbs of wings. In their defense they had a large group there, but they could've offered us a snack or gave us a complimentary item to make up for 1.5 hrs for 14 wings. The staff was very friendly, and the environment was fine. Great little deck outside of you can get a table. Food was par. I've only had the wings.

Ordered the small taco salad and it was still quite big! So delicious. Their dill dip is to die for. Also ordered the red sauce mussels which were good too. I would definitely order the same thing again. Food came out fast. Our server was nice and knowledgeable. ????

The Federal Tavern, AKA The Fed is a neighborhood institution belonging to Kirkland Lake but shared amongst most Northern inhabitants as a hallowed institution. One needs to go there if you have never gone to know why. Every time I step in I see happy people enjoying their spot. St. Patrick's Day was a triumph and not to be missed.

Horrible customer service.. given i work in the industry and can appreciate the struggles... horrible job guys???????????? half hour for a shooter and missed an entree i ordered thus disrupting the dining party. Not overly impressed but i ca understand somewhat as you were slammed. Definately need more staff on busy days

The service was horrible. Took over an hour for an appetiser to arrive. The waitress did apologise when she brought it out, but didn't check on us for the hour between ordering and the app arriving. Mains were 2 wraps. One came out 20 minutes after the app, the other 35. Terrible service.

The restaurant seemed empty because of the covid restrictions but the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Although it was not the noisy bustling restaurant I used to know the intimate dinner with family was a really nice experience

Never had a bad meal here. They were out of fish and chips but what can you do? The Philly was great. *Update, after trying their online ordering system, we were told 30 minutes. Almost immediately afterwards we get a phone call stating that it would be an hour and a half. Ok no problem, it's a Friday. Then arrive to pick up food and get told sorry we've been very busy, another 20 minutes. What's the point in doing online if your times don't even come close to each other?

Was there on January 30 and let's just say, the place is a blast. I didnt get our waitresses name but she was awesome. Great sense of humor. Made our 1st time going there even better. And she was right, the fish and chips are very good!!! Will be back on our next snowmobile trip.

Was in town for one night and looked at this place as a opportunity to have a drink. Called at 1040pm and the business was shutting down. Question the website as indicated open till 2am? not sure how this business can service local or out of town customers.

Place is like a community hall with diner service, rough tables but good food. Wait staff was okay not great they weren't very friendly and left us waiting for the bill, they brought the food out separately and forgot one item

Proper COVID-19 precautions, a friendly welcome & great service! Good local brewery selections available on tap! Tasty burger and REALLY good fish with amazing home-cut fries!! I really liked that fresh coleslaw too! Awesomeness! Worth the drive to Kirkland Lake! Highly recommend The Fed!
