The butterfly effect hit our home this summer when a bathtub soap dish ripping out of the wall ultimately led to the removal of some 1970s era drywall with mud containing 5% asbestos and 3 rooms of original linoleum flooring with 70% asbestos backing. If we didn't want to renovate we could have left it as is, but we weren't going anywhere due to COVID so, "no time like the present." Did my homework about getting samples tested by a qualified lab (that had its own moderately hefty price tag), and then the steps to find a qualified contractor to remove the material I just didn't want to personally deal with removing. Got lots of good advice and several quotes. In the end, both the quoted price and the personal touch of project manager Geoff were what sold us on hiring WINMAR Property Restoration Specialists from Kamloops to do our abatement project. Geoff was very reassuring and left us with the feeling that we had found the "right" service provider. The abatement crew members were skilled, professional, and efficient. The project started on time, communication was good, and the project finished on time. The attention to detail was very good. If you're looking for someone to do your asbestos abatement (or any of their other services), you will do well to seek a quote from WINMAR. We're very satisfied customers and if we need any restoration services in the future, WINMAR will definitely get the call.
