I had called the urban barn store in Kamloops and wanted to purchase the world map painting. Being from out of town, I needed them to hold it for a couple of days till I could make the trip there, and they happily abliged. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I arrived to pick it up. The painting is beautiful, and looks perfect in my space. Thank you for the great service!

My parents furnished half their huge new home in Tobiano last year from this location and were always pleased.....so yesterday my mom wanted to take me there as I am redecorating my own home and she wanted a few more things for hers. My mom has just recently started using a cane and had massive brain surgery and is clearly battling serious health problems and has only had a few outings since surgery. We arrived and were “greeted” by a man with a terrible attitude. My mom had been in a week before with my dad and had bought several rugs and dealt with a lovely woman who helped her immensely. Since then my mom had decided she wanted 3 more. She told the man this and he was unhelpful, showed no interest in assisting her, didnt even come downstairs (just hung over the rail) huffed and instead directed her to walk up the stairs with her cane and look for herself. He suggested that if she didnt like what she saw, go home and order it. We certainly were not asking for special treatment and we were the only people in the store. Needless to say, we turned around and shopped all day around town to the tune of thousands of dollars at Urban Barn’s competitors.

I always like to leave something positive if I can as I work in retail and know how important ratings are, this is not the case here. Walking into the store on a Wednesday afternoon it's fairly quiet, maybe 3 people. I was not greeted or asked if I needed help. The male who was working asked a lady 6ft. away from me how she was and if she needed help. I was literally in the store for 10 - 12 minutes and no one approached me. The staff were gathered in the center talking, I walked past still nothing from any of the staff. I guess I could of asked for some help in finding a chair, however as a customer I shouldn't have to wave someone down especially when I'm the only one in the store. When companies are competing right now for business excellent customer service should be and always first. You greet your customer and make them feel comfortable, welcome. This was definitely not the case at the Kamloops store. I'll be taking my business elsewhere today.

I always enjoy shopping at Urban Barn in Kamloops. The employees are helpful and knowledgable and just the right amount of involved. Unfortunately, I had to return a number of the items I bought, and the return was so smooth and easy with no questions asked. I also called to ask about my VISA not being credited as quickly as I thought it would be, and received a very polite, friendly, and helpful response (as it happened, all I needed was a little more patience!).

All the furniture we have purchased here (dining sets and stools, chesterfield and other items) is high quality and looks beautiful. The staff is helpful and friendly and if you opt for the delivery service, it is excellent. All in all, dealing with this store exceeds expectations!

I was in the store on Sunday afternoon to look at throw pillows for a new couch. I young man helped me out after greeting me within a few minutes of my entering the store. He spent considerable time with me as we used a store sofa to see what my various choices were. He gave me advice (when I was trying to overdue it with too many) and he even moved an ottoman to the sofa to see if it would work for me. He was fantastic!!! I also liked the quality of the products I bought and will return later to get a throw a was eyeing. On a negative note as I have read a few comments from others. When I was paying, a young lady jumped into to help. There were 2 others though who were preoccupied with gossip and even when I tried to engage (eye contact and a comment about my purchases), I didn't even get a smile. These two seemed "snotty" and I will go out of my way to avoid both in future. The young fellow who helped me was amazing though!

Bought a light from this store and it wouldn't assemble properly. I called the store and there was two solutions, return the floor lamp and wait 2 weeks for shipping to the store, or return the lamp in exchange for the floor lamp. I should be receiving a discount or an apology for their error and my time and grief. Sent an email to the store and they didn't even reply. Horrible customer service. This will be the last time I purchase anything from this store.an update 10/28/2017: returned the lamp and they exchanged it for the floor model. Replied to my email and I am happy with the outcome.

Love Urban Barn products. When I picked up my order at Kamloops store, the service was awesome. They unpacked my online order to make sure no damage and repackaged it to make it easier for me to carry out. The online order took a month to arrive with no tracking available, and because of that I give 4 stars instead of the 5 stars I would give the store itself.

I am seldom impressed by a store,however the Urban Barn is a exception to the rule. My wife and I had occasion to go to the Urban Barn in Kamloops,what a pleasant experience. We were met at the door by a extremely courteous,and friendly young man. We spent a while looking at different displays,and did select a few items. At the check out counter we had the pleasure of meeting a very nice young lady, Liza (I believe,)she made it a point of introducing us to the Store Manager,a very bubbly and outgoing young woman. All in all we were very impressed with the store,and service, we will not hesitate to recommend it to our friends, I know we will certainly return in the future.

Recently shopped at Urban Barn and would highly recommend their store to anyone. There was so much to choose from I didn't know where to start but the Sales Supervisor Katie was great - she had lots of suggestions and ideas and thanks to her she made our shopping experience great! Both employees Carolyn who helped us narrow it down to two sofa's and sent us home with all the info we needed to make our decision. And when we returned to purchase the sofa the assistant manager helped us select the fabric (which I found very stressful and he was very helpful) to all the other details. Both were so friendly, helpful and professional. Great service and experience. Trent also called me to personally tell me when my sofa had arrived. And when I went back to order something else Carolyn was so helpful in arranging my order and then I received an email from Trent letting me know if I wanted to product on sale, I should come in the next two days before the sale ended. I can't say enough about the wonderful customer service.
