I drive a lot so therefore my vehicle is extremely important to me. Having my vehicle running well and safely is also very important. I was having trouble with different shops that I went to and decide to go to Freddie’s Pit Stop to have work done on my car. My experience was a pleasant surprise. Freddie was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to my situation. My car was repaired properly and the cost was very fair. It is nice to know that there are honest reliable shops out there and Freddie’s Pit Stop is one of those. He displayed integrity and a genuine concern for me and my cherished vehicle. I would recommend Freddie’s Pit Stop to anyone looking for a shop that cares.

Had to have a brake job done, so on Easter Monday I called and was told to bring it in right away that morning. By afternoon I had my vehicle back. I'm pleased with the price and quality of work. Not to mention the fact I had my car back in good time. I recommend this shop.

I would not recommend this mechanic to anyone! Please stay away! We brought our truck in because of a noise coming from engine. He called and told us he was 99% sure he could fix the problem, we went ahead with the work. He called back to let us know it was ready and when we picked it up the noise was still there! No better than before. We were told that if that didn’t fix the problem, he wouldn’t know what would. He tried to up sell us on other work, why would we do any other work with him when he couldn’t even fix the problem we brought it to him in the first place? His best advise was to wait for it to get worse and then bring it back. He still charged us for diagnosing the problem even thought nothing was fixed. I understand that he needs to be paid for his work and you can’t always be 100% accurate when diagnosing a vehicle (as I worked in a mechanic shop before) and I don’t mind paying for the part(s) and labour but to still charge a diagnostic fee when the problem isn’t solved seems scammy to me. He didn’t even tell us the problem wasn’t fixed, we had to mention it to him. Please don’t waste your money at this shop, horrible service!

A con man and even worse mechanic. Took him months to do some jobs that eventually had to be pulled apart and redone by a proper mechanic. The work was so poorly done the vehicle had to be pulled off the road immediately due to safety concerns. The mechanic that redid all the work properly was convinced that I had a backyard mechanic with little to no experience work on the vehicle until I showed him all the receipts for work done. Before you take your vehicle to him, call any other reputable mechanic in Kamloops and ask them what they think of "Fast Freddie" and Freddie's Pit Stop.

I purchased an engine from him with a believe that it was low kilometres and on my drive to Calgary it broke down I was stuck on the side of the road in Lake Louise -40 degree weather for seven hours after recovering from major heart surgery I finally found my way to help. When I finally got a hold of Freddie he agreed to refund my money for my engine and then when I contacted him again he retracted leaving me high and dry with a bill of $2400

Had a paint job at freddies pit stop, approximately 4 months later, rust showing up, paint pealiling off. Absolutely the worse job imaginable. Took truck back, was told no warranty. Took my truck to another auto body shop and was told the paint job was one of worse he'd seen. To fix all screw ups and paint truck over will cost me more than a regular paint job.

Was referred to Freddy 4 years ago from a co-worker at the time he had a mechanic working for him that was very helpful and seemed to know what he was talking about and all my repairs lasted. Freddy came across as if he was always getting me parts for cost so i could afford the repairs with budget however his quotes were always wrong and when i got my truck back there was 1/4 tank of fuel missing not to mention he would use my vehicle as a shuttle to pick me up and drop me off. Last time i took my car to freddy i told him i didnt need it untill the following day so when finally called him 2 days later to ask the status of my car he said he hadn't had time to get it looked at and he said i told him take his time. after a disagreement about me saying i dont need till tomorrow and him saying i said take ur time he called me 2 hrs later saying come pick my car up it was done mind you it was 300$ over the quote. I notice the high beams plus fog lights no longer worked the ignition was making clicking noses if the lights were turned off and eventually would start smoking. The car went in for a clutch repair. It turned out the car needed a cam shaft positioning sensor not a clutch which my 30$ canadian tire diagnostics told me and i made the repair myself for 40$. Its unfortunate to see his reputation crumble because from what i have heard from others and my first experiences were very positive.

I know nothing about body work. So do your homework, wary customer Freddie Pit Stop in business 20 plus years and only 3 bad reviews , to me that's a good record. People write bad reviews, fewer people write good reviews. Freddie really wants your business so i found truth in how his estimates, are to low . Solve this with a written guaranteed estimate on work and parts, even at a lost I belive Freddie would honour his word. Due to other obligations I belive the majority if not all the work was done by his employee , who I found as a person who takes pride in a job well done . I recommend first do your homework, I went to the Pit Stop with 3 estimates already in hand. My train of thought, small business equals smaller overhead equals smaller bill. I am happy with the service and the work as for the cost ? Over estimate on budget ? Quality, so far so good, not time tested yet. I recommend you to consider this business as that they take pride in their name and work.
