Highlights: Amazing customer service Frequent status updates Friendly staff Great quality of workmanship Attention to detail I brought my 2016 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG S to modern autobody because they are the only Mercedes Benz certified body shop in Edmonton. The dealer recommended I bring my car to Modern Auto body for body work and I was not disappointed by the result. Modern Autobody has an unparalleled reputation for quality workmanship when it comes to body work on luxury car brands. I had a headlight and hood replaced after someone backed into my car in a parking lot. Front bumper and fender was repainted/blended and paint protection re applied. They updated me frequently and finished the work in a reasonable time frame. High quality paint work, you can't tell the car was ever repainted. They noticed my wheels were mounted incorrectly and notified me, it was causing wear on my vehicle which I later had rectified. I am extremely happy with the end result the whole experience was worry free and as good as it could get given the circumstances of my situation.

Absolutely NOT a good experience, but this was a few years ago so management and staff might have changed since then. The paint work they did had to go back to be polished because it was so badly orange peeled, and some removable body parts were misaligned and had to be adjusted properly. In addition to that they damaged my wheels. I was told by Dean, and I quote: "You can't prove they weren't like that when you came in." So I learned a valuable lesson: get detailed photos of your vehicle before taking it to ANY shop for any kind of service. You can't rely on the honesty and good will of many shops to make things right; it's up to you to look after yourself.

I have had a few vehicles repaired for auto body here over the past 20 years. I currently do not have one such that they will repair...they are very particular with which models that they decide undertake. This is a high end auto body restoration place geared toward snobby types and they love to charge out the full dime to insurance companies who with cover off such a claim. I did like their work on a Volvo I owned at my first visit there in 2001, but in the end, and despite all the full interior shampooing, detailing, window washing, etc... when it comes down to the actual body work- I'll take Southern Auto Body for my lowly Subaru anytime-their work was every bit on par, detailed interior, buffed exterior, and no attitude. Go to Modern if you need to be coddled and hugged, otherwise there are as goods that charge waaaaaay less and you don't need a "membership" to get in...

The difference between the quality of work that was performed on my vehicle at Modern Auto Body Ltd versus a previous experience (similar repair work) at another business is night and day. While the repair ended up taking longer than I had hoped, the quality of the work speaks for itself. Plus, I was always kept up to date with respect to the progress of the repair. Modern removed two hail dents and they detailed the car. The Dent removal person did a great job, would never know there was any dents at all. And the detail cleaning and polish is the best I have seen. My 10 year old Cayman looks better than a new car. Great job.

Know nothing about paint. My car paint has factory defects and paint were peeling off. It had loss of paint and was not repainted at all. They told the dealership I have repainted the bumper and this cause refusal on me charging my warranty.

I called Modern, and the receptionist Melanie immediately put me at ease and promised that my car would look even better than before. A promise they sure delivered on! Not only did she set everything up for me efficiently, she even called for a car rental on my behalf and had them drop it off at Modern for me. The Appraiser Erkan was very thorough and professional when explaining the process to me and the entire team was diligent in making sure the car got the proper care it needed. Their attention to detail is top notch and they did not at any point cut a single corner. I was treated like a 5 star client from the first phone call, even up to the follow up after I picked up my vehicle. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants their car fixed correctly. The repair took a little longer than I had expected but when I asked, they invited me down and showed me the vehicle's progress first hand, told me what to expect and even showed me a little bit of the shop, they even explained their certifications and how their process is different. I have brought my BMW's to this body shop for the last few mishaps. I had a high-end BMW with matte black paint that was damaged in a "side swipe" vehicle collision. Modern Auto Body was one of the few authorized BMW body shops that have the equipment and certified technicians to work on the vehicles. The finishing quality was very good and everything was completed according to the timelines they mentioned. They dealt with the insurance company quickly and fought to ensure that the insurance companies did not try to cut corners and not pay for full OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts. I currently have another BMW in their shop now (which was rear-ended). They have extensive processes to ensure the structural integrity of the car is maintained to original standards. Their top-tier equipment and certification from many major brands of luxury vehicles to repair such vehicles gives me high confidence that repairs made will meet pre-accident vehicle condition. I have gone to other body shops for smaller paint jobs. When it comes to collision repair and specialized painting, I would not trust many other body shops. They also set me up with a rental vehicle within 15 minutes of arrival. I was very satisfied and impressed with their speed of service. Special kudos to Mo A. for taking care of my vehicle and dealing with the insurance company in a prompt, easy, and professional manner.

I had my vehicle fixed here as part of an insurance claim, and couldn't be happier with the service and work done. There was actually a bit of a dispute with the insurance appraiser with respect to the repairs, and Modern's manager, Gurdeep, went above and beyond in working on my behalf to get the issue resolved. The repairs themselves were done well and I think the car actually looks better now than it did before the collision. I'd give 6/5 if I could.

It was a great experience up until I had to get my vehicle appraised and the guy, admittedly new to appraising and obviously unfamiliar with my file, started shouting at me while looking over my car. Not cool. Take the time to familiarize yourself with the client or politely ask your questions. If I tell you what to take photos of, do it and then look over the file. Ask questions, if needed via email instead of making me reexplain for the billionth time while you shout at me.

The best body shop, bar none! My Macan was unfortunately rear-ended in mid-October when I yielded at 111 Ave going onto 61 St in Edmonton by a Hyundai Sante Fe. After exactly 28 days, the great people at Modern Autobody got my Macan back to me! Their service and communication was the best that I’ve ever experienced. ???????? So glad I brought her there rather than the ones that were suggested by the insurance company. As a one of the few Porsche Certified Collision Repair Centers in the province, those of you in Alberta that want top-notch body work on your prized Porsches, this is THE place to go! Most of the members of the PCA Polar Region wouldn't take theirs anywhere else. Rear hatch and bumper, etc. replaced, all doors removed, and paint blended all the way to the front windshield, they really go the extra mile to return your Porsche to like new! This shop is THE one to go to, and you'll always find high-end vehicles like Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW, Bentley, etc. etc. in their spotless workspaces being worked on on any given day. They can also arrange an appropriate rental car for your use when you drop your car off which makes things even more convenient.

Modern Auto Body is the only body shop in Canada we trust with our vehicles. They are committed to doing things properly and safe. They brought our vehicle in, processed it, and tore it down. They noticed extensive damage to the components and our vehicle ended up being written off. Kyra, Melanie, and Moe did a great job explaining the process, and the damages. They also took the time to keep us updated throughout and offered advice as to our rights in Alberta. Our insurance company offered for us to originally take our vehicle somewhere else (their uncertified, “preferred” shops) and gave us push back in the form of delay of payment because we didn’t. Luckily in Alberta it is our right to choose where to have the vehicle repaired. As our lives depend on it we’re glad we chose Modern. It took some time to complete everything but as it is said “quality has no fear of time.” A huge thanks to the entire team at Modern Auto Body - You guys rock!

Brought my 2019 BMW to Modern after an unfortunate accident. Right from the initial drop-off and dealing with the appraisers, insurance parties, the customer service, professionalism and knowledge was apparent. Right from Jessica up front to the techs. I was working with Mo Afzal on this and he was beyond helpful. He took time anytime I would drop in for a status check to fill me in, to walk me through the steps of the planned work and would often take me to the vehicle to show me what he wanted me to see. In the end the car was written off. While I did not have any repairs actually done on the car, I would still 100 percent recommend them if you're looking for clarity, professionalism, and honesty. I implore anyone & everyone to go to Modern Auto Body if they want an A1 experience from beginning to end. I was referred to Gurpreet for some minor damages on my Chrysler 300. Not only were they happy to accommodate (typically dealing with Luxury Cars only), their prices were legitimately unbeatable - believe me , I shopped, a lot. Gurpreet was excellent about meeting me with little-to-no notice, given my hectic schedule, and brought a lot of value to our short (but effective) meeting. Dave was in charge of repairing my vehicle, was a pleasure to deal with, very informative and did an outstanding job. Thank you gentlemen, I can't say enough good things.

The one star is for the quality of their work, the work itself is amazing. The lack of communication and follow-up is where this company fails. I completely understand people get busy and winter is the busiest time of the year, however you shouldn't be the one chasing them as a customer for a quote! I even left a message with the service manager before giving up and didn't even get a call back. I was disappointed and went to the other BMW certified shop and had the complete opposite experience.

I've been a customer at Modern Auto since 2007 . I have had 3 of my cars worked on in that 13 years . Moe recently fought with my insurance company for 6 weeks to get my car dealt with accordingly. Other body shops would have just went along with whatever the insurance company recommends just so that they can get the job oppose to fighting for the customer to get genuine parts installed on the car . I highly recommend seeing Moe at Modern Auto for any collision repairs ,dents and paint .

My experience with Modern Auto Body was fantastic. From the first time I visited them for my estimate until I picked up my SUV when the work was complete. They handled things with my insurance company and finished the work in 3 days. Many thanks to Jessica who dealt with my insurance issues and kept me up to date will all aspects of my roof repair. I’m my opinion Modern Auto Body is by far the only body shop in Edmonton and surrounding areas to trust with your luxury vehicle. I recently had work done them and it is impossible to see the repair that was done, at any angle, in any light. My vehicle was returned to me when promised and in the same condition as it was when it was new. With out a doubt I would recommend Modern to anyone with out hesitation.

Modern Auto Body is great. They're great about keeping you in the loop about your car & the status. Everyone is very friendly & happy to answer any questions they can. Their work is always great. Yes, it's more expensive but I've never had any over spray paint issues like I've had at less expensive body shops. They really care about the quality of their work.

Very bad experience. Staff is unprofessional. I took my car for an estimate that was done just visually, in a few minutes, with no further examination and very poor explanation to us that doesn't make any sense. We are not happy with the service and attitude staff have.

Amazing customer service can't say enough about them. I got into an accident with my Porsche Cayenne and brought it here for an estimate to send to my insurance. Dealt with Moe who was very professional and knowledgeable. I had to leave my car there and didn't set up a ride back home. He drove me home which was 20 minutes away! My vehicle ended up getting written off but if they had to fix it I would have had full trust in Moe to get it back to looking new. Especially him who is a national champion in body work. Alll the staff was helpfull and easy to deal with and gave me updates as they went. If you are looking for a great trustworthy shop this is the place to go and they'll help you through the whole process including dealing directly with your insurance company.
