REVIEWS OF Carvings Nunavut Inc IN Iqaluit

Doug Bailey

The carvings are amazing. If you plan on bringing one, bring lots of money they are expensive but beautiful! I asked the people working there and all of the stone is from Nunavut. I was nervous walking around the building as the floor creeks a lot and the shelves don't seem that sturdy. There are also signs everywhere that say in polite ways if you break it, you buy it.

Lots of carvings and others items made by the local artist and from all around the territories... Price reflects the convinience... But still worth looking at

This man is profiting off of Inuit and has the nerve to call us lazy, he is a rcist and doesn't deserve the business. If you want Inuit art I suggest you look elsewhere!!!

Lots of very beautiful stuff but one of the most expensive places to buy carvings, stones, jewelry, fashion, etc in town. They open at 10. Staff are super friendly and the store is very clean but they are a bit to expensive when you can sometimes get the same piece at another location for cheaper price by the same artist.

Mark Franche

Incredible carvings from all over the territory. Not just carvings, there's also clothing (traditional and modern), artwork, furs and yarns for sale. Seriously, polar bear yarn! Staff are super friendly and helpful as well, and eager to explain the stories behind many of the carvings and artwork.

Very friendly staff and massive selection. I’m sure they are not the cheapest, but I felt it was reasonable. We are allies to take pictures. Don’t forget to look in the fridge for a special surprise!

This is a great place to look and buy. You will pay much higher price than in the communities. If you can go to some of the outlying towns, you can just ask around. You will be surprised at how little you will pay for the same things. All in all, great staff.

Dear INUIT carvers, artists and distributors, Boycott selling and buying from this piece of work. ????. Go on Iqaluit Rant and Rave. He has spoken ill will about Inuit population. He should not be supported by anyone! This is what he wrote: “Really. Please tell me again how Inuit are not given a fair chance at employment. Oh really yes you need to show up Yes I said it”. - Allen Mullin No one should be supporting his businesses as he talks down about Inuit. Who do think created all that work that’s displayed at his gallery. Please support Inuit carvers and artists elsewhere as this gross settler has taken another shot at our people.
