It's ok for stuff that you can't get at Home Hardware when you don't want to drive to Ottawa to shop at Home Depot. The Aylmer RONA is consistently lousy for customer service. It seems to be a series of cumulative annoyances. I don't know if it's because they cater more to their industrial and contractor clients over their retail clients or some other factor. It's hard to get help inside the store, cashing out is long even though I don't recall ever being in a line of more than two people. They do have some helpful staff. I don't think that it would take much to improve things.

After 8 days of waiting for a paid item to be transfered from another store ... they cannot tell me when it will be there. They did not return a call and were overall uncaring and rude. I will choose a different store, in the future.

Great service in the lumber yard. I needed help getting some insulation in my car, and the attendant did everything possible to help. Very attentive hands-on service.

Good customer service, clean and very well organized keep in mind that their inventory is limited and you will find only essential products it’s a mini hardware store but usually you will find almost what you need.

This Rona store is very small but it's the place to go for lumber. I was recently told by an employee that they are not associated with other Rona anymore so they don't have the same sales. But if you show a proof of sale from the website they will honor the price. They have pretty good customer service.

Think of it like a corner store for hardware and only go if you need to. bureaucratic processes from the 70s that require customers to do employee work by manually routing purchase slips from the purchasing desk to the lumber yard and back. I went to buy 2 pieces of lumber. 1 - went into store and asked if the had the lumber I needed in stock. The Rep at the desk said yes, gave me two carbon copy (yes that's right, the old carbon copy papers) and instructed me to go to the lumber yard, present my paper, and load up and stop on the way out. 2 - went to pay at cash using my Lowe's card. They didn't have me on file because Lowe's, Rona, and Reno depo are just a bunch of separate stores that aren't connected. After five minutes my case was escalated to the supervisor who looked into it and finally sorted it out using some manual override process. 3 - With my receipt in hand I went out into the yard only to find they didn't actually have the items I had just paid for in stock. I was told to go back inside with my 2 carbon copy papers and process a refund and repurchase 2 new other available pieces as a substitute. 4 - I returned inside to process the transaction which again was handled using a manual process to override the exception. 5 - I went back out with my new papers, showed them to the yard manager and the loaded my lumber. 6 - when I showed my receipt to the yard manager on my way out to leave I was then instructed to return one of the pieces of paper to the folks inside the store, presumably as part of their process Needless to say this was a waste of both my and the employees time which I will now avoid by avoiding the store unless I need something badly and it's not available anywhere else.

Love this store! Well supplied, and the staff know their stuff. Huge yard with building materials and a nice botanical section, too.

Although the prices are better at the Home Depot, the convenience of Rona more than makes up for the difference. The staff are very helpful and any returns are no-hassle.

Terrible service. I had a question... waited.. was told to ask in lumberyard.... went there and got the info. Then back inside to pay for supplies... back to yard where I was told they did not have what I paid for a few minutes ago... returned inside for refund... 45min... cashier would not even acknowledge the problem or apologize. Did not show respect or courtesy. Luckily there are alternatives close by

Always very, very slow. Cashiers chat amongst each other while serving and don't look at or even address you. Selection is limited but sufficient.

Worse customer service, I've ever experience this is pathetic. I don't even think, if a store tried to have such bad service they could achieve the level that rona has succumb too. What amazing about these stores you can't even call to find out general information, for example to see if they might have something your looking for. Such a great policy ! Never going back in my life !

Good store. Just be sure that what you take out of a bin is what is supposed to be in the bin. People seem to toss things into the wrong bin. So check twice if you don't want a surprise when you get home.

no smiles, no courtesy, how the hell does this store even survive? that blonde woman (manager i think) is rotten, evil woman, no class, awful to the employees and customers. Take it from me, drive past this store and head downtown!

I don't know what the other guy is talking about. Very good and friendly customer support. Cashiers are often the managers. Smaller crew so you always have follow ups with the same ppl. All long time employees. I drive from hull to do business with them. I dropped Buckingham rona after to many mistakes. Hull rona and reno are ok for products but to many students staff who don't know much or just don't care.

Worst phone service ever - no one answers the phone. it took six tries just to reach someone and they couldn’t answer a basic question about a return and could t find anyone in the store to answer me.

I have never gone to this location and been satisfied with the service or selection. On my last visit I spent nearly an hour being bounced between employees for an item return. Nobody seemed to know how to handle it. Eventually left and went to another location.

Customer service here is terrible. Used to be a bit better but now the staff at the counter refuse to help or have no clue. Tried calling several times, even worse service. 3 stars because they have a good yard, so if you can find it yourself it's a useful stop.

Most useless hardware store in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.Staff shows up to open the store 5 Minutes after the place is supposed to open, the staff knows nothing, and they have just about no stock. Don't waste your time just drive the extra 5min to plateau!

Primarily a lumberyard; the store itself is small and doesn't have a large variety of products. Large outdoor garden centre. Free trailer rentals (for 2 hours) with purchase... but they're available on a first-come-first-served basis, so check their availability before buying! Staff were plentiful but not particularly helpful, and they argued with me when I requested a product. I don't plan on going back... I'll go to the lumberyard next door to Rona Aylmer instead.

Worst customer service ever. Wanted to get an item from the flyer. Fine that they didn’t have it but was told it would be $70 in shipping if we wanted to order it. And they had the same product/model number in store but wouldn’t sell it to us because the sku was off by one number. Needless to say we will never go back. FYI there’s also a much bigger/nicer Rona about 3km away that’s awesome.

It's great to have a Rona so close to home. But it's been a few times where the service has been quite horrible! Today, after waiting for over 25 min in line with our son for sand box sand, we finally paid for 3 bags and made our way to the back for pick up. When we got to the back, they told us they didn't have anymore! Not sure why they didn't tell us this at the cash. Another time, my spouse went for a 1/4 inch nut and bolt. Which they didn't have. This is one of the most common items... you'd think that the inventory team would've planned for appropriate stock. Parents with young kids know how difficult it is to take the time to run to the store. Quite frustrating!

Ryan served me at the paint counter recently and helped me match a stain colour from a can lid. He went above and beyond to help me get the right colour. I appreciated his willingness to help and his positive customer service attitude. Today Zachary served me and again, demonstrated excellent customer service. I was looking for a spring/summer product. He went into the back and found something better than I thought I needed. He saved me money. because I didn't have to buy a piece of wood (4'' x 4'' x 8') to hang my bird feeder. I could hang it on my fence.

Called and they took 12 mins of phone ringing before someone answered then I was told they refuse to give a price quote over the phone. The guy was rude over the phone and I'm sure they let the phone ring so long because they where hoping I'd go away. Bad service. don't waste your time with them.

I stoped in earlier this week because I needed to find a wrench that fit my bolt. The young man searched but could only find a socket set that was a few hundred dollars ???? He said give me a second and started looking through his tools for the right size, and he found it! ???? I’m very thankful that I didn’t have to drive all the way to the next Rona and I will continue shopping here because of the great customer service! I’m horrible with remembering names but I can tell you it was Tuesday.

I place an order on April28,2021 for "Patio+" Paving Slab Art.#66635012 (000392673) plus delivery. Nobody did contact to schedule a delivery but did it without letting us know. Unfortunately we did not receive the stones we ordered, but another one based on your website under the #8936500 (000396841). I was trying to get help from the customer service but did not go far, lady on the phone was first telling me that is what I ordered, than I received what I ordered what is not true at all. It is clear from the attached pictures what I did order and what was sent. Would appreciate this mistake be corrected on your side without need to go further and experience more stress. If possible to give none star that would be my choice. Thank you. Sincerely, Savka Orozovic Wanted to give an update on the issue whit my order. After spending all afternoon on the phone and sending a few e-mail of complaint seeking for the help finally got promise from RONA, Aylmer to exchange the patio stones and deliver one we ordered. They went even further saying they were sending a gift card $50 worth by mail (all in written form). Well, the right stones were delivered on the day they promised but nobody arranged a time even though I asked and 16 days after did not get that gift card I was promised.

Friendly staff, seems that most are bilingual, however some are not, so if you only speak English, you may have to be patient until you can find someone who can guide you. Good service.

Nice drive-through lumber yard... Everything is easy to access: the wood was well organized and the driving aisles were nice and wide. I didn't go inside the store, so I cannot comment on the main part of the store. The outside staff were friendly and helpful.

Perhaps the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Ordered patio stones with promise of delivery within 7-10 days, based on an appointment to be booked within 24-48 hours. The truck showed up for delivery unannounced the following day. We were not ready for the delivery / had no space to put it. Upon trying to explain/re-schedule the delivery driver was incredibly rude / threatening that we wouldn't get it back for at least another month. It took ~15 phone calls to head office and multiple stores to get it sorted out (all of whom were rude, impatient, and trying to pass the buck to each other). Ultimately, despite being the product we wanted at the best price, we opted to cancel the order. RONA (and by association, Lowes) lost a customer for life.

Absolute worst service! Not once have I been to this place and walked out happy. Plan a good 30 minutes to wait in line and once at the cash expect to be told that they are actually out of stock....even though online store inventory lists 5 items in stock. They've finally drawn the last straw with me and I will drive the extra way to any other reno store from now on.

This store is awesome. We went in because we needed paint and paint supplies. The woman who work in that department was very helpful. Ease to find what you need and not crowded. We were in and out quickly. This is my new go to place.
