Should have known better... After reading several negative reviews I opted to buy $300.00 worth of paint from this store. Extremely poor customer service. The same BM paint is available in Cambridge and this is where we will venture next time.
Service was good.
There is one good staff member here. Other than that it's a terible experience. They act like they are doing you a favour by selling you paint.
Friendly enough. Busy people. Great selection. Clean store.
I stopped in previous to my purchase to discuss my needs with Carmen. She was very helpful, and full of knowledge and advice. When I went in to actually purchase my paint the store was busy, and yes, service may not have been speedy - but you're not ordering fries at McDonalds... there is behind-the-scenes work involved in selecting the bases and tinting the colors to your specs - so cut them a bit of slack. While I was waiting I browsed their store, they sell beautiful home decor that was 40% off, in addition to tools, stains, wallpapers and paints. I enjoyed my experience here and would happily return.
It's fine, just slow af
One man who works here is exceedingly rude. Argued with me on the phone, insisted I give him my last name when I was trying to tell him that the order I placed did not include my last name, so my last name wouldn't have been in the system. Listen to your customers, jeez, it's not hard. The other person (younger Asian guy) was great.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They answered all of my questions had everything I needed for my project. Thank you!
Clearly knowledgeable staff, always ready to help. I've never been disappointed with the paint they have recommended.
Do not waste your time with this store, go anywhere else but here! The staff ignore customers, are extremely slow, and never answer their phones. We make the extra half hour drive to Elora just to avoid this store!
Carmen is really knowledgeable with lots of experience to help with your decorating needs!
A bit pricey. Takes a long time to mix paint and walk out. Really helpful staff.
Arrived at 5:58am to pick up a sample pack that I called about in advance and their teenage staff laughed in my face and said he can’t help me With that
Unlike tht other reviews, both the young student type worker at the counter and his supervisor seemed very interested in helping me and were able to do a perfect match to some existing old paint cans (Benjamin Moore but no colour code available ) Only downside is that the Benjamin Moore paint is quite expensive .
Paint prices are high; one gallon of Aura satin indoor paint was just over $100 with tax. (It was under $50 at Home Depot for the highly-rated Behr brand but, to complete my project, I needed a matching Benjamin Moore paint). All others stores I have gone to were open to customers by May or June but as of mid Sept. this one was still not... they only took orders by phone. AND needed an hour to make up the order. Once I realized this while standing at the store, I drove all the way home, phoned in the order, drove all the way back to get it, and then drove home again. I wish there were another Benjamin Moore store in Guelph.
Good quality products, but very pricey compared directly to Behr products I've used in the past. Took awhile before anyone acknowleged the customers in the store and before I was able to order in my paint. Slow service if you're not the only person in the store. Friendly service, just slow overall. Took me over 40 mins to get two gallons mixed up.
Unfriendly staff! Very disappointed as we wanted to support a local business, but after our encounter, we went to Home Depot. Shame :(
So slow. You often have to wait at least half hour just to talk with someone. Staff is usually helpful when you get their attention. Don't go if you don't have patience or time to kill.
Excellent service and knowledgeable staff! The only place we trust for all our painting needs!
Very good sale on ... 3 gallons for the price of 2
The absolute worst service I've ever had in a paint store. And I've been there numerous times - God knows why. It's because they're the only ones in town who sell Benjamin Moore paint, and each time I figured maybe I'll give them another chance. Never again. They make you wait forever to serve you and then blather on and on endlessly about something that should take them a couple of minutes. They let their phone ring and don't answer it. They told us it would take 2 days to make out existing gallon of paint a bit darker, but that they would try to put a rush on it - so 5 hours later when my husband went to pick up this carefully conceived mind blowing paint match, the guy said it couldn't be done because we had the wrong base colour. My husband asked why the guy didn't call him and he said he had lost the phone number. Brilliant.
Excellent Customer service!!
Every time we tried this store the staff did not acknowledge customers and we were always waiting for over an hour watching them do odd jobs before helping us. Try going to any other store because this one is unacceptable service.
Very helpful staff! Love the quality of the paint. I painted an entire house top to bottom using their products and am very pleased with the experience.
Every time I spoke to staff, they were very rude and gave me the feeling they didn't want to help me. This was such a horrible experience with customer service that I will not be supporting this business again. I would rather drive to a different city to get what I need. Don't go HEER!!
Zero customer service. Waited for over a half hour without being acknowledged. Seems like personal conversations take priority over assisting clients. I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on.
Called my order in over the phone ahead of time. When I dropped by after work I was greeted right away, order was ready...I am quite happy.
2 weeks ago I’ve request to get custom stain to matches my floor and the staff told me should be ready in a week. A week later haven’t heard from them so I decided to call to follow up and they told me it’s still not ready until next week. This morning I’ve walk into the store and ask for my stain and the staff said it’s still not ready yet and she also said “ didn’t you just drop off yesterday?” I’ve told her NO ,it’s been over 2 weeks now and I’m cancelling my order. I wouldn’t recommend to any customers out there to do business with this store and poor services and bunches of lies. I’ve went straight to Bayley’s decorative centre in Cambridge and all it’s took was less than 20 minutes to do the job!!!!
Love Benjamín Moore paints and their quality! and also the help an advice from Heer's. For example today: we had questions about paint for a kids room and the different options; we got really good advice an explanation. Thanks Heer's!
Very helpful and friendly people.
Great customer service. Amazing quality product. This is product is worth the money. The staff is knowledge, kind and attentive. My visit was very pleasant and I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone looking to buy a good quaintly paint for your home. Thank you for all of your help and suggestions along the way! I WILL be back!
Great service, best paint in town. They have new management, really improved.
Very Dishonest Family. I had a custom built in cabinet made. Heers was to ensure that the product that was being applied to the cabinet was the colour that I ordered. It wasn't even close. There were several attempts made to have HEERS come out to my home and verify the paint colour. I left message on the phone, and I emailed them. No response! After having to show up in person to the store in Kitchener, I was then told by Michelle (owners daughter) that she had not received any of the messages. In front of her, I asked the guy that I left the message with if in fact he had passed the message on to her. His response (in a sheepish voice) was yes he had. Michelle didn't know what to say. She had been caught in a lie. Shameful!! I spent over a year fighting with the company. I even called the Assistant CEO of Benjamin Moore for his opinion on the colour problem. He, as well as experienced painters agreed with me and said that the cabinet colour was not matched correctly. This is not the first time that Heers has made a mistake with their . They mixed the wrong colour for my kitchen cabinets in my rental home. It had to be sent back and re-tinted. Heers has refused to correct the problem that was theirs in the first place. This has been a very stressful time. After this, I vowed that I would tell every single person that would listen, my experience with this horrible company. I hope the people that read this, will never go through what did and hopefully will buy their paints and supplies elsewhere.
Very disappointed. Had to ask for help n was basically handed a couple paint swatches n then told to go home n decide. We said we wanted to purchase paint n was basically shown to the door! The girl helping us was extremely rude.
Always helpful, Benjamin Moore Aura is awesome
Sent here by another company who uses them for painting. Due to covid we obviously couldn’t go in, but all we needed were some chip samples. After waiting for 10 mins at the door while the clerk watched us, she finally called someone out from the back. With an extremely annoyed look on her face she slowly made her way to the door. When we explained what we were after, her response was “Are you kidding me?! Do you know HOW MANY I would have to go through?!?!” She states that they were VERY BUSY and then stated that the company “would not” be using their paint and to just go get samples elsewhere and they will color match it. We never mentioned what company we were working with. Clearly too busy for any more business. We flip homes and I can assure you that we will NEVER go back to this place again. Stick with DULUX on Gordon St, they are always professional and the service is great.
I’ve spent a lot of money in this store. I bought a tiny can of BEAR paint and needed a few drops of black added and the woman with short red hair smugly told me she couldn’t do it because they have different pigment!!! She simply did not want to help. I was disgusted and will never return. Absolutely horrible customer service!
