LaFramboise renovated significant parts of our 1950-60s house. It was a large renovation with significant changes on the main floor...i.e taking down of load bearing walls, re-doing all the flooring, sanding and refinishing all the floors upstairs, two bathrooms, and installing a new kitchen from scratch. Brian Wood was our on site supervisor, and he was fantastic. He listened to all of our concerns and would make sure to address them as the renos went along. Brian is very thorough and delivers great results no matter the task. While there were some small issues throughout the process, the company always handled them without any problems. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking to do renovations.With this company you will feel that your project is in great hands!

Due to Covid our office at Levac Propane needed some renovations to keep our drivers and staff safe. We added a separate entrance for our drivers and created a new room(unfinished) that 2 interior doors were added to. Dealing with Laframboise from start to finish was simple and easy. Mark was super easy to work with. Although the work was not up to my standards. I am pretty happy with the end results, having to have them come multiple times to fix work that had been done was a bit frustrating. Though issues in the photos were quickly rectified ( thanks to the rapid response from Project manager mark)I feel like it was sloppy work that should have been done right the first time Edit of review. Upon further inspection I'm finding more thing I'm unhappy with. Railings still cut unevenly. Stair treads different sizes which I don't know how it passed inspection. Overall sloppy workmanship . I would not recommend this company. one month later had to have someonecomeback to repair the top tread becaus it was alreadyfalling Off.

Mark was extremely quick to respond, professional to deal with and made the whole experience easy. Mark had all of our supplies ordered right away, as to avoid the Covid delivery and manufacturing delays. They exceeded our expectation and were on time with finishing the renovation! I believe this company needs a lot of work. Most reviews are from family or friends. They use apprentice and then don't check there work. I feel sorry for them as they are suppose to get guidance from experience Had to have them come back several time to fix there errors or thing they had missed. For example casing falling off the door. Spots that you can see through the door frame to the other room. Shelves not level. I could go on. I think they should stick to building decks or bird houses and not sure if i would have them do the bird house. I had them come back and do repairs that they messed up and then they tried to charge me for there mistake. I have talked to other contractors and they tell me they are the joke construction company of Kingston. I will never use them again. There rates were fair but i would rather pay a higher rate to get the work done right

Mason did several renos at my house - laminate flooring, windows, doors. The work was high quality, and they show up when they promise AND clean up after. I highly recommend them.

I waited about 8 months before posting, we had a pretty big job and I wanted to be fair in my assessment. Most Important - I would recommend Laframboise and work with them again. The Great: Laframboise staff (project manager and the two employees who did the bulk of the work) were fantastic to work with. Polite, accommodating and very tidy. At the end of the day they got us what we wanted (we had a pretty specific brief). Most of the work was done to a pretty high level of quality (see the "not so great" for the odd instance where we weren’t fully satisfied) Overall we got a full basement appt. new kitchen and new bath so a fair amount of work that got done. The not so great: Some bad surprises with sub-contractor work (mostly rectified by Laframboise) Schedule did drag on past expectations between 4-6 weeks Little bit of price surprise (not much and we came to agreement without conflict) Sealant used in bathroom and kitchen washes away over time (note this was not because of the application, it was just a weak product) Probably would have been able to give a 5 if some of the sub-contractor management had been tighter.

Started off with talking with Alex to do the appraisal. Alex came over quickly and we looked at all possible options for my deck building which presented some challenges. Once we agreed on a plan, a quote was provided and dates were provided for a possible completion date. Turned out they started before and Frank was the assigned person to build the deck. End results were awesome and done exactly the way we wanted it done! We maintained very positive communication throughout the process and am very happy with it. I would not hesitate to contract Laframboise for future project. Thank You!

We hired Laframboise in February 2021 for renovations on a seven plex building in Napanee. We needed a professional crew to renovate two apartments completely, two additional bathrooms and update the electrical/plumbing. The contract was for $250k+ and was supposed to span a total of 2 to 3 months. As it turned out, it was a huge mistake on our part choosing Laframboise. We have worked with multiple contractors as we have several commercial and residential properties, but Laframboise is the largest company we've hired thus far. We were told that they had a 53 person crew with many trades. We knew we were paying a premium but we wanted a large company to come in and tackle this project quickly and efficiently. Our research showed Laframboise received the 'top 3 builder' award in 2020, high star review rating, plus beautiful photos and drone footage of their work, etc. We trusted their Promise "We’ll only work with the best materials available and build to last a lifetime. We will never compromise quality for time and give my clients realistic schedules that accommodate their lives. We strive for honest customer service, to leave the customer completely satisfied and knowing the job was done right." We realized that delays due to covid were inevitable but our 2-3 month project spanned nine months. We were told by our project manager that we would get preferred treatment, as we would be viewed as a "commercial" level client due to the scope of the work. Over the course of our project, two crews and a project manager were let go. There was a lack of communication between crews and in turn, things were lost, not done, or "I don't know" was a common answer. What we witnessed is a truly disorganized company that appeared to have the lowest standards for quality. The photos attached were taken either by us or our tenants, after being told the work was "complete". Please know that they did fix some of this work, but only after we complained about it. We think these photos speak for themselves, but you be the judge. So if you do hire this company, get everything down to the smallest detail written in the contract. Get a list of all the materials, appliances, and fixtures they will use. Also, if you do hire them, do NOT make the final payment until all the work is done to your satisfaction. As an example, they claimed that with a full rebuild of a bathroom, it did not include the light switch in the hallway that belonged to the bathroom. So the light switch is now almost 3 feet from the bathroom door in the hallway, and the electricians (they subcontracted) said their contract was only for electrical in the bathroom, not the hallway. We thought that was ridiculous so we came to an agreement with them, and they said would fix the switch under their "warranty" service. However, since they received our last payment, they have disappeared. We certainly won't be hiring them back to do the additional projects that were discussed and we have started to hire new crews to fix their recent work. Honestly, we could go on regarding the quality of work we received and the many horror stories, but at this point, if anyone wants to learn more please feel free to reach out to us. Now to throw something positive on this review...Scott was hired to come in and fix/complete work as part of the third crew. Luckily under Scott's watch, the quality of work improved. Scott seemed to be the only one that cared, was organized, and had pride in his work. Note: Some photos are being blocked for some reason

We had a renovation done in our home. The quality of work was excellent. COVID put our schedule behind but that was fine. Not their fault. The problem comes when you ask them for a play by play of how and where your money was spent. They give you an estimate which is not an estimate. It’s what you will pay. Oh no, no, no. If prices go down due to changing countertop materials or you use less flooring or you remove a job from your estimate. It doesn’t matter. They will still charge you the estimate price. Also while I was dealing with them it seemed like half their staff quit that I was originally working with. Something fishy there. I’m just not sure. Great quality job done. Very pricy and money breakdown is not all above board. If they were more transparent I could have rated them higher.
