I’m beyond FLABBERGASTED in Towne housing, this process has been HORRIFIC AND TRAUMATIC. I understand being out of office because you are sick. (We are in a pandemic) I understand being on vacation. Or XYZ EXCUSES I WAS GIVEN. I had to repeatedly tell the agent what was going on each time I would call! I would have to fake the dial pad to actually get someone if you press 1 it will hang up and send you a link of apartments that are no longer on The market if you get the lucky you might get the operator! I felt like my time was not valued! IF YOU DO REACH THEM CONGRATS BECAUSE THEY DO HAVE AFFORDABLE RENT AND DESCENT HOMES.

This company robbed me of my entire security deposit over scuffs on the walls that I have pictures of that prove the scuffs were there at the time I moved in. They disregarded my pictures and kept all of my deposit. They were aware I am traveling and couldn't be home to take them to court right away. Please beware of this slumlord, scam of a company.

It's about Towne buy properties all over North Tonawanda but never calling back and 16.00 for every property. What a killing. Must be nice to buy all equity from anyone not giving the little man a chance. You are terrible Towne reality!!!

If I could give a 0, I would. Couldn't get a response and if I did it was through text. Whenever I called the office I would go through several prompts and still couldn't get ahold of anyone. Paid an application fee because on their website there were several listings in Lockport. When I finally spoke to someone, they insisted those listings weren't on the website and the application fee was non refundable. I was on the website reading the listings off to her when this whole conversation happened. Please beware.

Renting from Towne Housing Real Estate was a complete NIGHTMARE! In our lease it states that the landlord is responsible for water and tenants are responsible for all other utilities. In the middle of our lease we were contacted saying we would have to pay for water and a new lease will be written up and sent to us to sign but that never happened. They are now trying to withhold that money from our security deposit illegally since it was not our responsibility to pay for water. We also had no clear information on who we should be contacting with any problems or concerns. We talked to half a dozen people about various things and were constantly being told to reach out to someone else. Do yourself a favor and look for somewhere else to rent!

Around 6 weeks ago i put in an application for an apt. The next day I got a call to email income proof. I did. Never heard back I called left a voicemail 4 times. No call back. I finally reached someone on the phone although he was nice he wasn't very helpful the first time he told me he would bring it to the attention of the lady who will process it by the 4th time i talked to him weeks later he said he didn't know why she didn't even process or call me back maybe i should text her. But.. I texted her, emailed her. Never heard nothing. Really sucks wish people had better business practices in these times cause you never know what someone is going through. It's free to be kind and respectful. Hope they improve.

I can’t say enough good about this team! They are highly efficient, professional and understanding. I first moved in to one of their managed properties in July of 2018, and have not come across any major issues. Any and all minor complaints were handled in a very caring and friendly manner. Libby has been hands down THE BEST “landlady” I have ever done business with! The property I currently rent is structurally sound and cozy, perfect for me and Tom (my cat).. don’t judge! Libby is my go to girl, she knows what she’s doing!

They approved me quick! My realtor was very nice. UPDATE::::::since moved in. I haven't been able to use the stove because it don't work. They told me to put a match to it and turn on the gas... I called the gas company and they told me not to do that... they told me that someone need to take a look at it. Moved in on the 24th, they have yet to come and at lease see why the stove is not working properly. Still can't get in the garage. They still have the lockbox on the back door which will cause the knob to completely fall off because its lose. But they will be ready to slap an eviction on if your late with your rent.

I'm a client of one of your agents and i just had to give feedback. My husband and I are so blessed with BEST agent I've ever known and I used to work for Hunt ERA so I've known many. My husband and I had a complicated situation with purchasing, Realtor.com connected me with Kelly Hardison-Lupus with town house realty and she is A-MAZ-ING! She was extremely helpful and guided us though every step of the process she even took us to houses and put in offers on properties we were unlikely to get. Kelly is the reason I got my dream home, she took a chance and brought us to a home I loved even with low chance of offer acceptance because her and I both say it doesn't hurt to try because it doesn't and we're about to close on that very same house! She is very personable, friendly and helpful I don't just see her as an agent but also as a friend because she takes the time to build rapport. I had to find a way to give some sort of review because she really is incredible.

EDIT: the TL;DR is at the end- I have been trying to rent an apartment in an unpopular part of Buffalo for two weeks because I work in the neighborhood. I wanted a paper application and more information about the property, so I spent a week calling the office before I finally got someone on the phone. They didn't have paper applications and told me to fill out an online application and "they'd get back to me in a week.' I told them I would call in a week if I didn't hear from them. It has been a week* I can't get anyone on the phone again. I've visited the property and talked to the neighbors, even talked to the landlord on the phone (one of the other tenants called) who told me to apply with Towne. I don't know what else to do... I'm trying to hand you money, why won't you take it? Could you at least tell me why? If I was a landlord trying to find a tenant, I would be upset that a potential renter with excellent credit, full time work, who lived in the last place for three years, AND is a painter/gardener was being ignored. Also I heard the guy who owns Towne likes to flaunt all the money he's been making with flashy cars and clothes, but I wonder how much of that goes back into neighborhoods. Maybe they'll see this and won't rent to me, but I kinda feel like they don't want to do that anyway, and I kinda don't want to give them my money anymore. If they aren't responding now, what happens if a water line busts or my heat is out? I'm a GOOD tenant and I will find housing, I'm not worried. I really don't need to waste my time trying to symp to rich guys, would much rather help a family make their mortgage on their duplex. *Edit: It has been three weeks since I sent my paystubs, my references, my permission to do a background check and pull my credit score, and received a confirmation that my application has been received. Obviously, I did this from my professional email. Either he figured out who I am and black-listed me, his staff is in-ept, or they are looking for someone with Section 8. TL;DE Have you had trouble getting a callback from Towne? Post your review, let the people who own the properties see that good tenants are being passed over. If you're looking for an apartment, good luck! Use Craigslist, Google some different property management companies, network... there is space for you in Buffalo, and you shouldn't have to beg to get it.

They must have such sad and pathetic personal lives that they use their positions to act as if they were king for a day. And don't bother needing something fixed as it will automatically be your fault or the person in charge of handling it was fired or quit, whatever they feel like telling you that day. I have never been happier to move out in my life!

Tried to view a property when first listed. Kept sending requests but no response. Filled out 16$ application and still no response. Voice-mail full and no one answers the phone. Sent an email to person, no response. Answered the phone yesterday and said place was rented. Could not explain to me why there was never a response from ANYONE!!!! Last night got this email saying the property was rented and inviting me to check out their other properties. Why so you can not respond again? I have 2 weeks to move and no response!

This was the condition of the apartment on our move in date. In the midst of a pandemic. Even after the woman who showed us the apartment told us a cleaning would be done before our move in date. I called and talked to the property management and even their management and was told “the apartment was cleaned to our standards” we have since gotten a new-used fridge after complaining about it leaking for weeks. Response to owner: Yes you did offer to break the lease *the day of moving in* you gave us 3 days to find a whole new apartment and move into it. So it wasn’t really an option considering we were moving that day... Come on. Look at the pictures Pam cleaned it? Cleaned what exactly? It was left in the exact same condition as the day we did the walk through when Pam told us a cleaning would be done. Two weeks before move in date. The stove it’s self had layer upon layer of grease that literally took days to clean. Also we moved in in September not exactly earlier in the year, actually that’s when restrictions and what not were pretty loose :)

Hands down the WORST property management team I've ever dealt with! I notified them for MONTHS that my ceiling was leaking...what did they do? NOTHING! They waited until my ceiling collapsed in and almost fell on top of my puppy! ive notified them for months about my windows leaking cold air. they still haven't done anything! ive been telling them the floor through the whole house is buckling and they STILL HAVENT DONE ANYTHING! They're quick to charge fees for any little thing and SLOWWWW to fix anything! Then act like they didn't know anything was wrong within the apartment. This company is a jokeee! Looking at the rest of these reviews obviously this company is doing something (or a lot) wrong so don’t comment trying to explain how things are “not your fault” Let’s also talk about how they were working on the hot water tank….cause none of the apartments had heat (always waiting till last minute to fix something) and failed to tell me I was going to be without heat throughout the night! Made numerous of callls and didn’t hear anything back till the next day. I had to drive 35 minutes away to check into a hotel that had room for my pets and myself at 1 IN THE MORNING! Then they got mad because my hotel room was “too expensive”!! No hotels were taking check ins after 12am and I was under 21 at the time thankfully I have a friend that works at one and was able to get me a room!

I have been looking for an apartment since June of this year. I found a really nice apartment complex in Springville Ny. I called Towne housing out of Buffalo about the apartment. I spoke to Dee. The only thing I can say is she is amazing! Every question I asked she had an answer. She is very knowledgeable. She is quick to reply to all of my texts some early morning some late afternoon. She is very nice and professional. Towne Housing definitely has a very hard working, very knowledgeable, very good at what she does employee. I had to end my lease early due to challenges around the COVID pandemic and the property managers were very understanding and helpful during this time for me. I moved out around June 2020. August 2021, I get a call about some very personal items I left there (my birth certificate, social security card and bank card). I was certain that these items made it to the trash during my careless packing. To receive a call over a year later with the property’s willingness to mail my items to me was absolutely amazing. With all the time that passed, they could have easily trashed them and I would have never known. I am grateful to have my belongings back after all this time. Thank you! God bless!

****ATTENTION******ATTENTION******ATTENTION** If you do not have a high credit score there is no point in even applying for any of their houses/apt because the manager will deny your application despite having good landlord references and a steady income This is not an equal opportunity for housing with towne housing real estate company, being that I make $3,000 a month with proof of income and was denied for an inner city apartment in a low income area and the rent was only $600 a month because my credit score is at a 595... Despite that I never ever had problems paying rent and I have two good landlord references that can vouch for that and a steady income is soooo unfair to me... I have been going back and forth with these people for months with this application process only to get denied for a low credit score (students loans that im working on and a car note that i still have and paying off with one late payment due covid 19 shutting every thing down in the beginning of March... By looking at the reviews and a few of the pictures one person posted it's like they take people through hell and high water with the application process to rent out Apartments that looks like that is mind blowing... Where is the equal opportunity in this?? It's no secret that a lot of people or should I say a lot of black people do not have high credit score or most of them like me are trying to get credit or rebuild their credit.... So im asking the manager or the owner or whoever the hell run this company where is the equal opportunity in this??????
