John and his crew did two major jobs for me. My office first, and then because of our total satisfaction with that job, we hired him to totally renovate our 2 family rental property. My office is a two-story building that was in dire need of a facelift. The building needed a new paint job but a lot of the shingles were rotten and deteriorated and needed replacement. John was able to perfectly match the style of wood so you are unable to tell where the replacement shingles are. I asked him to remove an extra door on the porch that was not needed and to remove a very old built into the wall air conditioner. Again he was able to match the exterior to make it look like there never were any openings in the walls. It required a lot of interior drywall and trim and these were installed with the highest quality of workmanship. His crews cleaned up the interior and exterior every day so there was never a mess to deal with. His crews are courteous and reliable and highly skilled. I gave him full access to the house and he was very trustworthy. We could not decide on the colors so we trusted him to pick the final colors. The finished paint and trim is spectacular. We are located on the busy Hertel Avenue strip and are very proud of our building now. I absolutely recommend JRB painting as we are totally satisfied with their work. I will write about our next job in another review.

What an AMAZING job these guys did! John the owner is HANDS DOWN the best contractor I have EVER MET. He was contracted to do the exterior painting of our Delaware commercial building. His thoughtfulness to detail and his ability to do on the spot repairs as he went, made this painful project painless. His pricing was WAY LESS than the other commercial painters that are trying to capitalize on the rebirth of the city. John and his guys are hard working, dedicated and got the job done ON TIME as promised, which, in itself is very uncommon for a contractor. John's answer to problems was always a solution and somehow, he always has "someone that can do that" when issues separate from the painting arose. I would recommend JRB to EVERYONE I know, but hope that my review doesn't make him too busy for me in the future if I need him. ::)) Job well done. What a professional. I can not say enough about him. They don't make people like him anymore.

There's a reason JRB has all five-star reviews. John and his team took on a big project with our little house. Our 160-year-old house hadn't been maintained for nearly 30 years. The clapboard was rotted, paint was coming off in sheets and there were more cracks and holes than you could count. John and his team did such an amazing job. They were timely, professional, cleanly and were very reasonable on price. For any painting job in the future I'll be going right to John, and I'd encourage everyone else in Buffalo to do the same. The job is 90% complete and it's made such an amazing difference. Thank you JRB!

They were in and out in less than a day, all while I was at work and also he helped me pick out the perfect shade of off-white (I did't realize the choice of colors) and left my house perfectly clean. They were extremely helpful in advising us on needed repairs and color schemes while accommodating our short time frame for completion. Hands down, John is the best contractor I have worked with in any capacity in my lifetime. He is transparent, honest, trustworthy, and his crew is held to the same high standard. Every other painter I had look at the job was scared off by the work that I wanted performed on my home which included cedar clapboard replacement on one side of my home, porch reconstruction, and restoration / re-creation of long-lost architectural details due to years of neglect by previous owners. According to my neighbors, my North Buffalo house had not had a proper exterior paint job in almost 35 years, and John and his crew were able to make it shine again. I am a very particular person. John lived up to his word, performed the work exactly as discussed, and did not cut any corners. In addition, he helped with color selection and knew what colors to use to bring out the details of my home. I 100% recommend JRB Painting to anyone who is looking for quality craftsmanship, attention to details, and wants to work with someone who is exceptionally adept at keeping you up to speed on the project and budget. When John quoted the job, he was very observant of the multiple issues our old stucco house had: chipped paint, broken stucco, rotted wood and rusty old iron railings. JRB Painting did everything they promised and more! My house looks absolutely beautiful. It was no easy job, as my house is an old North Buffalo house that needed lots of custom restoration work in addition to the paint, and with the houses being so close together, some creative solutions were needed to complete the sides of the house, especially the tall peaks. JRB Painting went above and beyond to make it all happen. There were no hidden expenses or deviations from the original estimate. I am so pleased and will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to friends and family.

The JRB did a fantastic job on the painting and prep ,as well as, doing significant clapboard & cedar shingle restoration. I am so happy that we hired JRB Painting to transform the exterior of our home. From beginning to end they were a pleasure to work with. The owner John was out to my home within a few hours of initial inquiry and provided me with multiple examples of his work, a clear description of what he would do, and a fair price. He spent an hour with me at Sherwin Williams and he gave me good advice about color choices. He was also patient while I (slowly) arrived at the conclusion that he was right after testing lots of samples. His crew was exceptionally hard-working, attentive to detail, and respectful of our property. We also appreciated just how pleasant they all were to be around. They were helpful, funny, kind to my children (whom they played with and even fed hot dogs on their break one day) and they were careful to clean up after themselves. The before and after pictures say it all, our house looks brand new for a fraction of what residing it would have cost. We are very happy with the results and we will use JRB again.

They resorted my 98yr old house’s clapboard, crown molding, caulked, scraped painted with multiple colors and made it all beautiful again. Polite and easy to work with and very clean. After 22 years of having our house painted by the rest, we finally found the very best! Our beautiful house was built in 1847 on the west side of Buffalo. John Bolla and his team really care about Victorian houses. They took care of every little detail. Our neighbors remarked on the way they scraped back to the bare wood where needed. John quoted a very fair price and did not exceed it. We had great expectations after reviewing the JRB website, and we are happy to say that they were exceeded. The paint crew were just different from the other big name painters that we have used in the past. They really appeared to enjoy taking care of the house, and completed the job in good time. They cleaned up every day and it was a pleasure to have them around. We were particularly pleased with the woodwork restoration that put the finishing touches to a great job.
