The crew definitely exceeded expectations! They were all very professional; took pride in the work they did, ensuring that the end result was completed to the satisfaction of the customer. Our house and garage look brand new and we’ve received many compliments on the workmanship. We have a few more outside painting projects for the crew to complete in the spring. I would definitely recommend Darling for your house projects.

The paint quote was competitive, not our lowest or highest and I felt as though the knowledge and other reviews warranted a chance. Overall, I am happy with the finished product . There are some places with some drips, or where the trim wasn't done perfectly with the wall paint covering up more than an obvious amount but it wasn't everywhere, and we're all human doing manual work that won't be perfect -- just way better than what I could have done! I had 1 or 2 miscommunications that we worked through and solved, so I'd just suggest that you make yourself available if you're going to undergo a job as I was a bit more distant from it due to travel - in the end it ended up lovely and I'm very happy with the colors and fixes they did with covering & patching along with the paint itself. Even the cabinets turned out wonderfully along with the walls & trim I had painted by them. They did a decent clean up job and seemed respectful to the property.

I had them come give me an estimate on a room down to the stud redo. They gave me the highest estimate out of 8 companies. When I say, highest I means by over 4,000 dollars more than the next bid. I genuinely think they just didn't want the job, as that is crazy difference.

I wish I could provide a review for their work, but the owner has twice now judged me by my appearance as not being able to afford his work and has refused to even provide estimates for both exterior and interior work (which he was totally wrong about). I think once he was mad because I had another contractor providing an estimate right before he did and he saw him and didn't like the competition. I wouldn't even think about calling this company again.

We recently had Darling Paint repaint the entire interior of our one-floor home. The crew(Larry, Victor, and Joe) that did the work were punctual, efficient, hard-working, humorous, and extremely accommodating. We were surprised how little inconvenience we experienced with this crew. We are enjoying the result daily as we went from all white interior to a few different colors. Looks great!

Very professional. The painters do 2 full coats of wall cut in and rolling with ultra high quality Sherwin Williams Duration paint. Was very impressed. The work was a little pricey, but the cost of high quality workers and paint is high, so well worth it!

Beautiful workmanship, done earlier than promised. Workers were polite, helpful, and professional. Owner Bill Darling the same. We felt we were in very good hands with this company. Excellent communication throughout. We had interior doors installed and painted throughout the house, a closet rebuilt to remove a moldy wall, and the closet and that bedroom painted. They took care of little extras too on the spot, like painting a pantry shelf and painting an existing door so it would look as fresh and nice as the nearby new doors. Very happy and would recommend highly.

Had the owner of Darling paint come by to give an estimate we needed for a rental property. In total estimated to be one 10x10ft room... already down to the studs. The guy quoted $9,400... For a room down to their studs... I received other quotes but this by far was the worst quote. These guys saw two girls and thought... hmmm let’s rip them off.. this is not ripping people off ... this is STeALing! STAY clear from this company.... I want to just warn people of this company, especially those that fall into that that vulnerable population... by the way... went with a quote For 400$ for the room and they said they would throw in another room... Please be weary on their morals.

Darling Paint - We had an excellent experience! Bill Darling gave us the estimate for our job on the spot. We were having a new fireplace installed and his employees worked with the the fireplace team to make sure everything happened quickly so we could put our family room back together and start using our new fireplace. Bill's team were always friendly and never left a mess. They went out of their way to try to cut down on all of the dust in the air. We will definitely use Darling Paint for any projects in the future and highly recommend them to everyone.

My experience with Darling paint was one of the best customer service experiences I have experienced in a long time. From the moment I inquired about getting an estimate for a pretty big job inside my home to the very end I was very pleased. They came out within days, and did the job within days in a very time sensitive period. The workers were all very nice and did an exceptional job. I was also very happy with the price. I would definitely recommend them and I will be using them again in the future.

I have nothing but GOOD things to say about Darling Paint. We contracted Darling Paint to paint the entire house from the basement to the garage. What an amazing job!! The crew showed up right on time as scheduled. They were neat, clean, courteous, & informative. What a great bunch of guys!! They worked around the many other contractors we had working here also. Bill Darling came by to check in on the job and make sure we were happy. (What a great personal touch!!) I would highly recommend them to everyone!

I had put out a request on Home Advisor for about 10 Sq. Ft. of ceiling repair from a leaky roof and was contacted by Steven of Darling Paint. Unable to take his call while I was at work we texted back and forth and I provided him images of the damage. He asked to schedule a time to look at the damage because of it being water damage so we made an appointment same day. Steven was on time and polite when entering the home. We assessed the damage and he described that it was something well within their abilities. I explained we wanted the repairs but were considering painting ourselves and had also mentioned installing laminate flooring we had already purchased. Steven mentioned this would be something they could provide us as well. Steven asked if there were other rooms in the home I was considering working on so I took him through the entire house and gave him a laundry list. Upon parting I offered to email him blueprints of the house to get square footage and he accepted. With my email I stated that I was interested in starting in the kitchen and mudroom and asked if they wouldn't mind breaking down the quote in sections so that we could decide whether or not we wanted to have them do various things (such as install the laminate). Steven said that was possible and accidentally reached out to me the next morning with a text saying "brick house lady." Apparently his dad "isn't good with names". Later the same day via text and said $8,500 for the entire house. The entire house?! I originally put out a request for 10 Sq ft of ceiling repair and you were willing to come down to assess that, why can't I get a bid on just that? I didn't end up wanting just that. I gave you 2 entire rooms! His response was along the lines of "breaking it down like that would just be more expensive, and it would make us not want to drive down to do the work." Are you kidding me? You drove from Chatham to Kingston to quote 10 sq ft of ceiling repair, but you won't give me a quote on 2 rooms? When I said that we had no interest in doing the entire house that would prevent us from doing business together Steven said he understood and hung up almost immediately. What a shame, I would have loved to pay you $8,500-$10,000 for the entire house if we could do it in segments. Good news is there are plenty of contractors who will. To anyone reading these reviews to get a bid for a small repair don't waste your time. Sounds to me like if it's anything less than 1,000 sq ft they can't be bothered. Hopefully someone within the hierarchy of the company reads this review and A) recognizes missed opportunity in getting business in small pieces or B) quit following up on small repair requests and wasting consumer's time.

TERRIBLE. We hired them to paint two bathrooms and a bedroom. The bedroom and one bathroom were done beautifully, although the other bathroom was the worst paint job ive seen in my life. they came on thursday and firday and I have never seen a couple of painters try to finish a job so fast. Nothing was patched on the wall, there were runs, paint on the light fixture, and the worst of all the trim looked like it was painted by a four year old. When we called them to complain they came back but instead of fixing the dents in the wall and cleaning up the trim they just put on another coat! We called them again and the manager came out he said that the paint job looked "fine" and that they were not going to work anymore, he also neglected to accept the fact that the ran out of paint and decided to paint a small part of the wall next to the door white. Overall I would never get this service and hope that no one makes the same mistake I did by hiring them.

Had a job done recently, interior and exterior, in Hamburg. New drywall throughout the house. The house is 16 years old and the previous owner didn't take care of it well. Darling Paint came in did their magic and the place looks almost brand new. We went with light colors throughout the inside which brightened up the rooms very well verses the weird brownish color the original owner used. The guys that came to the job were very good and professional. The lead guy I believe was Marty. They were on time each day and started work right away. I will say they suffered a little bit as they had to work during that high heat week we had in July. But they kept trucking along. The wife brought them drinks throughout that week to make sure they were hydrated. She is a worry wort and a nurse so its in her nature. at the end, everything looked great. There was only one little spot that was missed where a built in shelf met a corner. The owner himself came in that evening I called and touched it up and made it 100%. I have some work lined up with Darling Paint for another piece of property. I highly recommend these guys.

As a recently retired employee of Darling Paint, I highly recommend them. The work quality, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction demanded by owner Bill Darling is something I have never seen anyplace else I've worked in 37 years as a painter. The commercial does not do them justice. If it looks good it's not just darling, it's perfect.

Bill Darling came to my Mom’s house to give me an estimate on a small repair job to cut out no more then 2’x 21across of drywall an replace ,the price he quoted and 3 days to repair it are you kidding me. I did not like this guy he was a bragar an had a bit of an attitude when I told him that his price was too high. I think he thought he was going to get one over me because I’m a women not!. Had a few contractors over an they were 10x lower then that company.

Most professional, reasonable company I have dealt with in the industry. Only company I use now for all drywall/ painting and trim work.. Guys are always on time, always cleanup after themselves and looks perfect everytime

I used darling paint to repaint my old aluminum siding. My experience from start to finish was flawless and so was the paint job. Bill was friendly and knowledgeable and did not try to oversell me the price was amazing! They were here within a week and his team of workers are professional and knowledgeable and we actually shared some laughs! I would highly recommend darling paint you will not be disappointed!

Darling painted my vinyl siding, and it turned out fantastic!!! I wasnt even aware it could be done, but Bill Darling suggested it to me and I couldnt be happier with the results.
