The owner of west island painting-Orion; runs a very tight ship. Everyone is always ready to work- on time and do an immaculate job on every site. His employees are dedicated to their work and finish the job on time. The real spotlight goes to Mr. McCarthy himself- he has an incredible attention to detail- a sharp eye and takes pride in the work he does. By far the best painter I've come across. He strives for perfection and professionalism- their is no doubt that the West Island Painting team reflects this in the work they do. Incredibly beautifully detailed custom homes and priced at a reasonable quote. Would 10/10 recommend for anyone wanting their home to be the envy of the block!

The pandemically weird summer of 2020 was drawing to a close and we were keen to get the exterior of our house, including our painted steel roofs, redone. We sought out several quotes and schedules and Orion ticked every box. In every way West Island performed at an astonishing level and gave us a stunning job - we NEVER give anyone 5 stars. We hired West Island Painting to paint two custom homes in oak bay, both very large builds with very detailed wainscotting, crown moulding and exterior stain work. We were facing lots of delays throughout the job but our estimated paint time was actually cut in half when I asked Orion if he could have the interiors finished in two weeks each house... He brought a large crew (nice presentable people) and the quality was immaculate. We have built many homes but never got a result like this. The trim was spray finished and prepped really well it stood out the most! we will definitely continue to use them for future projects!

Hired on to fix and clean an interior job that was done by West Island Painting in a brand new home. Floors were damaged from scaffolding because of no proper protection while working, excess paint throughout the entire home; coating the windows and floors etc. Many additional hours spent cleaning due to carelessness and laziness not protecting items from the paint.

I usually don't write reviews on companies but I feel I need to share my terrible experince with others so they too don't share the same experience as I did. I am still cleaning up excess paint on my floors and windows because they failed to tape and mask things off. They didn't even mask the windows off. They were at my house for 2 weeks doing touch ups. This is more time then they spent painting my inside in the first place. After two weeks I finally had enough and asked them to leave. I am still looking at baseboards that have not been caulked, filled or painted. They touched up areas with the wrong paint. When I asked Orion about it I was the bad guy and he said this is how they do things. He was not concerned about finishing the job properly or his companies reputation. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company.
