Very comfortable providing a recommendation for PaintTek. We had Nathan and his crew in to paint the entire interior of our home and are so pleased with the quality job done! They delivered on time and on budget. My wife and I had been putting off painting and repairs to our home for a few years, mostly because we are lazy. This past summer it became really noticeable, especially the living room. With a new baby, we opted to hire someone instead of attempting the job ourselves. We ended up choosing PaintTek from a combination of friend recommendation and a quick google search. Boy did they not disappoint! The service was amazing, I can't overstate that enough. The guy that came was so thorough. We even bought a new TV with wall-mount in the middle of the update and he installed it! They came a little over a week ago, as of this review, and every time I have come home from work I have been blown away by the difference! I don't typically write reviews, but the difference is just staggering so I am taking some time to say: Hire this company, you won't be disappointed.

They have been extremely responsive and professional end-to-end—from providing a fair, transparent estimate; to working with us to tailer the job to our first time homeowner's budget; to providing extra guidance and input on work we were doing ourselves; being flexible and completing the job early to accommodate a move-in date that was moved up by a week; sending progress shots via text so I could see how it was all coming together; and returning to touch up the most intricate details. It is obvious that Nathan and his team have a passion for paint and know their trade inside and out. I would highly recommend and will certainly be a repeat client.

PaintTek just completed a quite complex renovation at my basement, which included removing an old door, filling up with concrete a gap in the foundation wall, installing two new windows, rebuilding the interior of the walls to add additional heat insulation, and adding stucco to the external walls. And of course painting and finishing the details. The job was perfect, masterfully managed by Nathan who was very upfront about all the complications (e.g. additional frame had to be built to accommodate R20 insulation). I highly recommend PaintTek for every kind of renovation, including the more complicated ones.

Wish I found this company to work with sooner! We had 3 extensive bathroom renovations with a short period of time to work in. The bathrooms needed to be gutted and built with new custom walk-in showers, new fixtures, electrical placements moved, wall and floor tiling, wainscoting, crown molding, painting and more. We had such a short window of time with these renovations and Nathan (the owner) communicated with me better than any contractor I’ve hired in the past, making it a stress free process. The finished bathrooms were better than I had imagined and I could not be happier with my experience with PaintTek. Huge thank you to Nathan and his Team!

If you’re on the fence, just hire these guys. I had a bunch of quotes from different people to paint the trim on my house and my fence. Ultimately, I decided to go with someone lower cost for the fence (it’s in the woods and no one sees that anyway, who cares), but went with PaintTek for the trim even though the quote was a bit higher, because it was pretty obvious that their standards were high and they wouldn’t settle for less than perfection. Which is obviously what I wanted for the house. They did not disappoint. The end product is perfect. I was kept in the loop the whole time around estimated cost, timelines, product used, the reasons they were doing the things the way they did. I was introduced to everyone who was working on the house and encouraged to make contact with the owner if I had any concerns. The team was flexible, trustworthy, polite, professional, and easy to get in touch with. And they totally stand behind the work they do. Addendum: Due to my great experience with these guys the first time around, when a rogue tile fell off my fireplace 2 weeks before I had to move across the country (and the job turned out to be way more complicated than it looked), I knew who to call. Everything happened very quickly, the dude came to my house within a few days and took way less time and charged by half of what was originally quoted because it was not as complicated as initially projected. When does that ever happen? I guess it only happens when honest people do the work. That’s not too common, in my experience. So yes, they might give you a quote slightly higher than their competitors, but in my opinion, totally worth it in exchange their experience, professionalism, the end product, and their team earning appropriate money for the quality work they do. I'd recommend them and/or hire them again in a heartbeat.

Hired PaintTek to repaint the entire exterior of our new home from forest green/light green to white/custom blue. The transition took many coats and days but Nathan and his team got the job done on time and made it look perfect. The workers were polite and were family friendly (they knew to keep the noise down when the kids were napping). After being so satisfied with the paint job, we hired the company to renovate our washroom from 2.0 to 3.0 by installing a shower stall. After only little over a week of construction, the bathroom is now exactly the way we had imagined it. I originally had the thought of doing all of these projects as DIY but after seeing what Nathan and his team had to go through, I am super glad I hired them because the job would have never been completed without em. PaintTek replaced a basement/ lower level floor in my home. Taking out the old carpet that had been in the house since purchase, 15+ years ago and installed Vinyl Plank flooring. PaintTek was highly recommended by neighbors on our street who had painting done by this company. Nathan came by to give us a quote on painting a hallway and laundry room in our house. He was professional, pleasant and helpful. The company is busy and it took a while to get a start date but Nathan and one of his painters, Jason, arrived on time and quickly got started. They were very careful about drop cloths and tidiness while working. Cleanup occurred at the end of each workday. The surface preparation was done well and the three coats of paint applied very carefully resulting in a professional end result. The only small concern I have is that, with all of the projects that Jason has going on at one time, he sometimes forgot to get back to us on a few things. However, this is a very busy time of the year for a painting company and the quality of their work easily makes up for these little inconveniences. We will have them back for subsequent paint jobs. Highly recommended!

We used PaintTek to paint the complete outside of our house after recommendation by a neighbour. We found Nathan to be very knowledgeable and helpful in picking new colours for our house and explaining the different sheens of different paints. Both Nathan and his complete crew were excellent putting out drop cloths to make sure there were no spills. They cleaned and sanded as necessary before painting and they all cleaned up thoroughly after each day. Nathan was in contact with us on a daily basis , keeping us updated on progress and time lines. Nathan Gauthier and his crew were excellent in their work of refinishing the exterior cedar logs of our log post-and-beam house. They were knowledgeable and meticulous, resulting in a first-class result. Much of the work had to be done from ladders, which presented no problem to them. They were prompt, courteous and amenable to adapting their schedule to accommodate mine. Finally, they were willing to come out to one of the smaller gulf islands, which many trades hesitate to do. I highly recommend their work if you want the best.
