We emailed Matt and he got back to us and came out to give us a quote almost immediately. It was only one side of our house that we wanted painted and while I thought it wouldn't be a big enough job for him to be interested in doing, he said no problem and fit us in the following week. Kings of Color just finished a full exterior paint job on our home and garage in Fairfield. We are super happy with it! 10/10 would recommend. I honestly would not even get other quotes (which we did already for you, don't bother) if you can book these guys when you want them. I almost didn't write this review because I kind of want to keep them a secret so they are available the next time we need them. Hiring trades when you don't have a connection or trusted recommendation can be tricky. At this point we are usually happy with people who just call back and/or actually show up! Well these guys are the real deal. Solid and reliable. Our quote was excellent and was also what we were charged in the end! Win! Communication with Matt the owner was excellent start to finish - so appreciated and essential. Kyle was our painter and he shows up, like everyday! But not only that, he is thorough and did the entire job himself! He listens to low volume podcasts and music and works away. Yay! He even packs his own toaster oven to warm up his lunch - see, organized! Super happy with the work guys! Merci!

We met with Matt and were provided a quote and timelines for exterior painting on a home we just moved into, along with working together to find the right color match. Although the house is not too old, the previous owners had not maintained it well, and the trim and cedar had quite a bit of sun and wind damage. Matt and his crew did a great job of getting our new home up to speed. During the project, we found the front area above the garage had sustained more sun damage than the rest of the house, which was apparent after the first coat, which didn't look consistent after they finished the rest of the house. We called Matt back, who agreed, and although it took a bit of time with scheduling and working around the weather- they came back to add 2 more coats to ensure the home was completed consistently. The job was finished and came in at the original quoted price. Matt was always responsive via text and phone, and maintained clear lines of communication & agreement on expectations from day one. We are super happy with the final result, and look forward to working with Kings of Color in the fall, when we are ready for interior painting. Thanks! Ron & Denise.

Matt was excellent to deal with. Very responsive and good at keeping us updated on progress. We had them do a variety of painting jobs over a tight two week window - repainted original oak cabinets thoughout our house, repainted old oak furniture, repainted window liners and door jambs from original wood, painted exterior walls and 2000 feet of trim and casings. All of the work was excellent and meticulous and completed on time. Where there were small issues, Matt was very service oriented in making it right. We want to use them again and suggest you do too.
