I contacted Colour Envy for a quote on painting. They came and the guy told me I would have the quote by the end of the day. It took a week for them to send it and it was also twice the price of every other paint company. If they couldn't get their quote to me in the time that they had specified I doubted they would be able to keep their word on the actual work. So no I didn't use them. I had actually already booked painters by the time that I received their quote.

This team is amazing! Colour Envy did a lot for us. We had them paint our master bedroom, all our exterior and interior doors, our guest bedrooms and entry way. They do an amazing job of recommending colours/finishes and they do a FANTASTIC job at colour matching. The team was on time and I have no complaints. Stop!!! Stop!!! Stop!!! Take a close look at these reviews, they are all done by Mosaic Home Services owners, employees, friends and family of those employees... Colour Envy is a new company under Mosaic, founded by Arthur Boutin. Bill Knight is the owner, Steven being his son and Grace his wife. Bill is a short fused character. This is why the majority of his employees are family members. No one else will put up with it. Arthur Boutin is an owner and founder of some sister companies, Jordan McLeod and Lucky Chuhan are employed office staff, Leanne Nickel is an estimator, the list goes on. The reviews are irrelevant... They have a very small crew of painters (3-4), none of which are ticketed trades people (get some proof). Tim Tipper is very inconsistent in his paint jobs, the tardiness, brush marks, roller marks, tape left on areas, over spray on surfaces, streaking and flashing on rolled walls, paint drips on carpet, jagged cut lines, inconsistent material spread, I could go on... I don’t think they sand or prime either. Paint doesn’t adhere to bare mud properly, nor does it stick well without sanding, let alone feel smooth to the touch when completed. Too many corners being cut here. This is not professional! If the painters helpers were not there, the paint job would have taken twice as long and looked rushed. This is unacceptable from a company of this stature. False stature!? You'd be lucky if you get a good solid 4 hours work a day out of Tim. He smokes like a chimney too. He complains a lot and seems to take only the simple tasks, as the young guys were the ones that did all of the difficult kneeling and ladder work. I will not hire or recommend Colour Envy Painting to anyone. There are many other painting companies in Edmonton that will do a way better job for far less. And, they deserve the business. Most will beat a written quote by 10%, possibly more. I advise getting at least three quotes. You will be glad you did. Back check everyone you hire! Always be weary of these online reviews. Even the BBB has them. A company that has to review itself should say a lot! Don't be fooled by their shiny adverts, fake reviews and colorful website. Steer clear of these guys, don’t say I didn’t warn you! See their BBB page. My response to the owner: Keep the corporate jargon train a chuggin', it's what you guys at Mosaic do best! I have seen the FB page, looks as if some clients are left hanging? Most of the pictures are stock photos, besides the apartment repaints and exteriors. Hard to see a good paint job from 10 meters away. The production value of the videos is exceptional, but in reality, this is just not whats happening in the clients house. The painting is mediocre at best! You use the lowest quality paint available. How is this premium? The cost between cheap and expensive paint is $10-$20 a pail. But the difference is night and day! Marketing jargon is expensive and your clients pay for it in the long run. I'm sure you will respond to all your negative reviews with that response. Typical dodge. Being ignorant doesn't change the truth. I also would not have wasted my own time to type this out if your services were acceptable! I really don't give bad reviews, but if this review can help someone, my time was well used! Steer clear people! There is far better quality work available for much less of your hard earned money!

We hired Colour Envy to do a color change to our house and garage. The work included cedar wood, vinyl and stucco siding as well as all the window and doorframes. The work took a little longer than expected but that is due completely to the poor weather, but the work itself turned out immaculately. Our home looks new and we could not be happier with the finished job. Leanne was absolutely amazing to deal with. She was prompt and very helpful on our first meeting to get quotes for the project. She was also very quick at getting the quotes back to me. After we decided to go ahead with the work, Leanne helped us pick out the right colors to go with and being that she has a design background, her insight was invaluable and the end product is better than we expected. She stayed in contact throughout the work and fixed any issues (of which there were only very minor ones) almost instantly. I would HIGHLY recommend Colour Envy to anyone looking for a high quality paint job. Leanne and her crew are friendly, professional and extremely good at what they do. 5 stars

Because of their business relationship they have with my company they called and asked me if I knew any painters and I was very happy to refer them to Dean. From the first consultation to the timely quotation and the subsequent completion of work Bonnie kept me updated on how happy she was throughout the process. She raved and raved about the way the guys kept her home clean and how respectful they were to her and also about Dean’s care and attention to detail. I would concur with those statements as I personally have had Dean and his crews in my home to paint our house. I think what stands Dean apart from other painters I have hired in the past is Dean doesn’t do the painting himself and so he is more able to keep a close eye on his crews and also be super reachable to his customers. Dean with Color Envy painting really knows his stuff! I have used Dean for two completed jobs in my home and business. When we bought our new home it was a faded forest green, that wouldn't do! With one phone call and hundreds of paint samples our house went from boring to bright and beautiful! He was also able to change the curb appeal but painting the soffit and facia! I hired Color Envy to do a few walls in my Fourplex. They did an amazing Job. So I hired them to repair and repaint less than half of a water damaged bedroom ceiling and a couple of walls that were recently repaired.The cost was close to three thousand dollars.The quality of paint used was very poor.The ceiling after numerous fixes still has a bump and does not look like it was done by a professional painter.None of the promises were kept and wrong walls were painted in the hallway.By the time they finished ,they were in the building for so long,I was glad to get them out. After the Condo,I was going to get them to do my whole house.As a property Manager ,I have been repairing and painting ceilings for over 40 years.I paid double of what I would have paid anyone else and got a lousy Job done.Will I invite this company back for another Job-NO NO NO After I posted this review Dean from Colour Envy contacted me and offered to repair the offending work.Dean and Rochelle were in the building today and went over and above the call of duty and fixed the offending work.
