Had gotten an instant pot for christmas on sale and when opened for the first time noticed that the handle was cracked. Brought it back for an exchange and was charged an extra $45 to get the same instant pot, but in a different color. Was not pleased at all, what's the point in buying something on sale if the company sells you a damaged item then charges you extra to get a non broken item? Why wasn't it a straight exchange like other stores I've shopped at?

This is a very large Canadian Tire. I find the service here to be really good compared to the old location that used to be down on Elizabeth Avenue. I love the local theme that they have integrated into the store. It makes this Canadian Tire feel like home. I like that there is a interactive computer as soon as you enter the store. You can put in whatever you're looking for and it will tell you which aisle to find it in. Brilliant!

When u order sometime online and pay for it already you would think it would be a quicker experience when to get to the store to pick up your item, but with Canadian Tire that is NOT the case, and this wasn't the first time either, there should ALWAYS be someone at the back counter to help wit the online orders, because that is the way of the world now (ordering online) and it should be am easier experience then it actually is.

Do not, for ANY reason, buy a bicycle from Canadian Tire. EVER. First one was poorly constructed and the gears/bike chain came lose on DAY 1 of owning it, and the replacement bike is already falling apart 2 months after purchase. Spend the extra money and buy from a REAL bike store. It's worth it. This is the second time I have been burnt by Canadian Tire when buying a bike... Never AGAIN! Learn from my mistakes. Please!

Very occasionally they have limited stock on some things but generally at least one of the local stores will have the items available. Fantastic website which can be used in the store to direct you right to whatever you are looking for.

As of summer 2020, my store stopped allowing dogs...no explanation. After seeing ATV tires in the store weeks before, I ordered 2 of them online. Canadian Tire does not allow redemption of points online. My local store staff advised me I could order online and they would, upon arrival, cancel/refund the order and let me use my points. I waited almost 2 months for them to arrive, all the while another store had them in stock but Canadian Tire would not transfer from that store. My tires are a common size, local ATV stores stocked them or could get them overnight. When they finally arrived, Canadian Tire could not install them because they go on 10 inch rims. Yup, Canadian Tire sells tires they cannot install. I can them installed at a nearby garage, pressure was at manufacturer recommendation. It gets better...3-4 weeks later, on only the second trip away from my property, one of the tires suffered a 3-way tear almost the size of my palm. Back to the store, no warranty. One of the reasons given was they didn't install the tires. I went to corporate customer service but got nowhere. I bought a replacement (same pattern, different brand) from a local ATV dealer...$25 cheaper than Canadian Tire's price. In 2019, I bought nice new alloy rims for my 2018 Jeep Cherokee. I went to the parts desk but was told I had to order them online. I went home and tried to order them online but the site wouldn't let me. I called the customer support folks and was told I have to order them from the store. The customer service person called the store before I returned there, presumably to tell them to smarten up. I returned to the parts counter and ordered them without incident. When they arrived, I had my tires installed on them. As I am driving away, I noticed alarms on my dash...no tire pressure. Nobody told me about TPMS...these are the tire experts...right? These things happen, I suppose. I arranged to purchase new TPMS sensors and they agreed to install them without charging me for installation and rebalancing. Some weeks later. I noticed one of my centre caps was missing from a rear wheel. Perhaps I hit a pothole? I went back to the parts counter and discussed with the parts manager, who dismissed it simply popping off and told me somebody stole it...in spite of security and surveillance at my workplace and the boxer who knows about anything that arrives at the end of my 450ft driveway. I contacted the manufacturer and they shipped a replacement. A while later, a second wheel centre cap disappeared. I discovered the caps were not seating all the way in when installed on the rear. The web site said the wheels fit my vehicle. Thanks for nothing parts manager.

Canadian Tire is our kind of pride and joy for every day retail... From outdoors all around shop to car services and maintenance going through household items and handiwork tools and materials for quick house fixes. We had a wonderful experience since unwittingly we walked in with our furry boy Arlo, the personnelle allowed us to go through our shopping list without disturbing us to later, at the end gently approaching us and very apologetically letting us know that before they allowed pets inside but due to new store policies pets weren't allowed anymore, we told them that we understood and thank them for their treatment and understanding. Thanks for such a humane and kind treatment ????????????????????

Hebron way is apparently the largest store in Canada..I hope I'm sharing accurate info. And you know, the store offers everything. I picked up paper towel, a bike chain, and house paint in one visit. They always have sales and in-store promotions, which really are valuable. Quality is good here. I have gotten rubber boots (they outlasted the ones I got at Mark's Work Warehouse, and were less expensive), bicycles, dingy's, camping gear, here and I have never been displeased.

The store probably has a great selection of products (those occasions when I'm willing to scour every aisle results in usually getting what I need, or an even better substitute) but it's hard to find anything - the sections are organized counter-intuitively, products are often in a different section that one would expect, their staff seem to mean well but are never around to ask for help (one time we actually found someone at the help desk, we waited behind the customer getting assistance, and as soon as he thanked the staff and left to go get the item he was looking for, that staff member left the desk, right in front of us), and their 'directory' has never been remotely helpful - the most recent visit I found it pushed back from the entrance semi-hidden at the end of an aisle...apparently because the big touch-screen display was stuck in a non-interactive demo mode. The website is only marginally easier to use (and at least functional because I'm not depending on their hardware but my own home computer, browser software, etc). In short "Crappy Tire" has worked hard to earn its derisive nickname, and my experiences do nothing to change that perception. It will be with MUCH reservation if and when I ever cross the threshold of this store again, and probably only because I have exhausted all my alternatives to it.

They've almost got a little bit of everything you'd ever want from a hardware+ store, plus they're both people AND dog friendly. Prices are ok. Return policy is very good. Good range of products. And let's not forget their Canadian Tire points!! Super handy! Oh, and for those who have a problem with your pet policy, perhaps they should look into your online store and services. Thanks to your pets policy, you have gained happy shoppers who can bring in their otherwise house bound pets. I try to rotate my three so they ask get a fun trip where people are thrilled to pet them

I had original receipt with everything in original boxes and because the one manager was being absolutely rude and not letting me speak refused to return my items and I called toll free number a supervisor then emailed the managers and said there was no reason for them not to return the items and told me to go into the store the next day so I went in and the other manager then called the other manager up cause the one who refused me the day before called the other one and explained that he refused me yesterday so the other manager got snarky and extremely rude and said they couldn't refund me yet i have spent easily over $2000 at canadian tire in the last two months and they won't return my 125 dollars wirth of unopened still in the packaging stuff or give me back my money from my cameras that were on sale for $79.99 yet charged me $199.99 so they made me pay an extra 120 on top of what I should have yet they can't give me my money back... Im a single mom of 2 children and its covid so money is already tight and yet they enjoy robbing single moms who faithfully spend alot of money at there store!! Exchange place for Soda Stream C02 canisters. They do an exchange for empty canisters. Be sure to call ahead as they sell out quick. Wal-Mart does not do the exchange program in Estevan, I think Can Tire is the only place here right now that does.

Watch there pricing, they purposely place prices , that are wrong , then when you get to till there is a different price for product. They have excuses all the time, but the long and short of it is, it's done on purpose hopping you will just pay the price , instead of saying, no thanks ...keep it ... My car battery keep draining out. took it to canadian tire. test everything and said need to change ur battery. starter is good. just the battery. took my existing battery and replaced a new one. took money for diagnosis + labour + battery + tax after a week, car died again and won't start my engine at all, radio runs, heater runs. means battery is good, starter is gone this time. now asking for diagnosis+ labor + new problematic parts cost+ self tow + tax i just dont want to take it to canadian tire anymore since they link up another problem and make you keep spending you money. telephone response really rude, customar service also rude kinda forcing attitude. I would go to Speedy auto instead who doesn't charge extra money to re check and gives warranty on labour as well as parts.

Today I tried to buy a new battery for my lawnmower by going through the auto entrance. After all that is where the batteries are kept. I could not get into the store without a tremendous amount of trouble. I am in a walker as I have a broken ankle. Turnstiles cannot be used in a walker but it did say to use the other side, which I did but that side does not open and if it did there was a bin of goods in front. Seems Cdn Tire wants you to walk through their entire store even if you are in a walker or wheelchair. I bought my battery and by the time I got to the car after all that walking I was and still am in a lot of pain. Thanks Cdn. Tire. Can't say when I'll be back.

If you like to spend money for nothing...get your car fixed here! They do the bare minimum. I brought my car into them to fix an issue because my rear tires wore down to the cords so they made me buy 4 tires ($581) instead of just two because I have an AWD and they said the issue was caused by a worn bushing so I paid them $400 to fix it and then 7k kms later my rear tires were worn down to the cords again and it cost me another $251 to replace them AGAIN and they said oh well we thought that the bushing was the issue. They misinformed me because they said there was no alignment needed in the rear. I have never had any luck with Canadian Tire mechanics ripping me off and Elliot Lake is no exception!

Much larger than the old store with a wider selection of stock and more parking. I've never had a problem with the staff, they have always been helpful and as knowledgeable as can be expected with such a huge amount of stock on sale. If you can wait to buy an item then keep an eye out for sales because many items regularly cycle in and out of sales so you could miss a sale on an item one month, buy it at full price the following month and go in a month later and find it on sale again.

Constantly unprofessional. They had a mistake in their flyer and no notice posted. I discussed it with hardware who then talked to a manager and they said they would give me the paint for the last sale price - not as good a deal as the flyer suggested but fine. I get up to the cashier and she has no record of it so I have to go through the whole discussion again. So typical of this place I had the flyer ready when I went to the cashier. Went to Canadian Tire to get a socket. Walked around the tools department for 10 minutes and no sign of any workers to unlock the cage. Went to Customer Service and the lady paged for a guy to come see me in aisle 2. 10 minutes went by and nobody showed so I went back to Customer Service and the lady paged for a guy to come help me again. Another 10 minutes went and still no help. So I gave up and gave my business to someone else. Terrible service!

**SEE EDIT (Knowledgeable staff especially in the auto department, never hard to find someone to help you. They have a lot of inventory but that being said, the negative is narrow isles throughout the store. You can barely push a cart without banging into corners which I find difficult with three young children, so it's noticeable for me.) **EDIT when I was asked to write a review, I mistakenly thought it was for the Canadian Tire in Espanola. The review in brackets is for the Espanola location and the difference is that the isles are not as narrow or difficult to navigate in Elliot Lakes' Canadian Tire and I would not have removed a star from my rating.

On every Sunday morning, one of the busiest time, they only have 1 cashier before 10 am. Do not shop before then because you will have a minimum 45 minute wait should you be customer number two. This was my case and it piss me off.

Piss poor autoamotive work, went to this location to get two studs replaced and new lugs for them. While the work was being done the service receptionist recommended I get the back brakes done as well, I told them to go ahead.When I picked up my vehicle the studs where replaced with studs that were TOO SHORT. (Lugs were catching approx 2 threads. IF THAT). After speaking with a Store Manager “BJ”, he took a look at it personally and then said he wasn’t sure if it was correctly done, rehiterared he knew little about automotive work, and would get a mechanic to look at it with me. A mechanic named “Jason” came and took a quick look at it and said it was completely normal and they use aftermarket studs that are usually not the same length ALL THE TIME. Then said Napa (about a kilometre and a half away) only had one type of stud for my make/model vehicle. I called Napa personally and was told they offer two lengths for my vehicle and have had many in stock for a while. I proceeded to call a DMV inspector who informed me that from what I was telling him the job was inproperly completed and should have at least extended slightly past all internal lug threads. Trusting the DMV inspectors opinion over the knuckle-dragging quality service manager, I returned to the shop and requested the studs be replaced correctly with the correct part for My vehicle. They then said I would have to wait an hourish for a parts delivery. Went and picked up my own parts on my own dollar and delivered them with my vehicle back to the shop. I requested they also look at my brake pads as the same mechanic did both jobs “Michael” informed me. The studs where replaced properly and I was informed everything was fine. Finally, or I thought. After the next two days of light duty driving around my drums were getting very hot to the touch. Indicating somethings wrong with the pads/hold down assembly which they also replaced. Brought it back again, third time, and was told to leave it with them. The cause apparantly was from the mechanics work, and was rectified. Expected better from a corporation such ad Canadian Tire, store owner blatantly ignored calls and messages. He then got a store manager with from what I gathered had absolutely no idea about the situation/automotive work in general. OH, but they replaced the cost of the two studs they initially incorrectly installed. ($6.00 approx). So after a $400ish dollar invoice and having to miss work, to get this properly recitified. an argumentive store manager call and a less than $6.00 refund was what I got for my troubles, I’ll drive a horse and cart before letting them even inflate a tire on my vehicle.

At this Canadian tire, you are assumed a criminal until proven otherwise. You have to be "buzzed" out if you leave without buying something and during peak times there's a security guard actually asking to see your receipt after you've been checked through the cash register. Not going to happen. It's laughable how a retailer will react to its own obvious loss prevention issues with such a disregard for basic customer service. For starters, try changing the culture of apathy amongst your own staff. Pointing out the aisle to seasonal goods is not as laborious as an associate may think and should not interfere too much with your 11:07am daydream.

This last visit to Canadian Tire was awful. We were to pick up a kayak, which was purchased as a gift and to be picked up today. We went there and the kayak was nowhere to be found!! Five or six employees muddled about for over an hour, with no success finding the paid for kayak! My partner, because of a trip planned this week, purchased another kayak at $100 more than the one purchased, as a gift. Further to that, last Fall, I purchased 4 tires and some other items valued at over a thousand bucks. When I got to the till, the cashier asked me for around $300. I mentioned that couldn't be correct. She could not have charged me for the tires, which were $600. After a few minutes, fussing with the till, she assured me that the amount was indeed around $300. I paid her but when I got to my car, I could not leave the parking lot. I went back to the store, explained what had just occurred. I insisted there was an error and paid the $600 for the tires!! Cashier training: fail!!

UNREAL is the only words I have....I visited the previous evening and was told there was NOBODY QUALIFIED IN STORE WORKING to operate a scissor lift, as the item was stored in a "high bay". The hour was late so I accepted that, and was assured that somebody will fetch it tomorrow morning. Upon calling back the next day to advise of my pending arrival for the product, I was told that the item wouldn't be available and removed from the high storage for another 2 weeks to a month!! Way to serve your customers, especially with 3 in stock that aren't selling because it is a seasonal item. The manager is useless and apparently has 0 desire to move product or serve his customers.

I give this place the worst possible rating I can. I had a manager of the store named sue threaten to call the RCMP on me after I questioned her on a price check in the store. Then she lied to me about why the price was wrong and I called her on it. She then caused a huge scene and actually argued with me in the store over an $8 price discrepancy, and said she would have me removed from the store, for simply questioning an unclearly marked price. This place is a complete joke. This lady should be fired! Seriously go to Walmart or anywhere else. Support business that actually care about their customers. This lady doesn't deserve to have a job. Ide give a 0/5 but 1 is the lowest I can go . SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE
