I've used Carstar Courtenay twice now to fix up my 2011 Porsche Cayman S. I just bought the car and there were a lot of stone chips in the hood, so I had them repaint it. The quality of the paint job was top notch, and the colour match was absolutely perfect. Then I had a real stupid moment with my garage door and managed to put an 18" long scratch in the the rear trunk lid. After trying to fix it myself and making a bigger mess of it, I took it back to Carstar and they repainted it. Again, great work, with a perfect colour match. In both cases I paid for the repairs myself, and was pleasantly surprised by the price. I was nervous taking my baby to a body shop, but Carstar Courtenay was fantastic! I highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to bring my car there.

When we need a repair shop we were told of CarStar. Now this place is the best in every way and customers do not have to worry whatsoever about anything. Our truck came back on time with no added costs or hiccups, was immaculate inside and out. The staff are the greatest for knowledge, courteous, and are all around friendly and great to deal with. Excellent service and excellent work. We took our aluminum body truck there to have a side panel repaired through our insurance and they did an awesome job. New panel, new paint, decals, light, etc and you can't tell it from factory. Done earlier than expected which was also a bonus. All paperwork taken care of for us to ease the stress as well. Booked appointment was done by insurance agent. Once there was taken care of quickly. They did assessment and booked us in 4 days later once parts arrived. Told us it could be a couple of weeks but got a phone call 4 days later said all done. Wow, fast and car looks fabulous, even gave her a great cleaning!. Amazing, can't tell where the damage was. Don't know what I expected but this was above. Very professional, the loaner was no hassle and at close limited paperwork. All came with a lifetime(as long we own the car) warranty. Well done Carstar...

After suffering a hit and run on my older Toyota 4Runner I was feeling dejected. Not only did someone damage my well kept older Toy but I was going to be stuck with a deductible payment and maybe not be happy with the repair as chrome bumpers can't really be repaired. The incredibly nice people at Courtenay CarStar immediately put my mind at ease. They handled everything with ICBC and did a great job finding an OEM replacement chrome bumper and trim piece and buffed out and match painted a piece of damaged plastic trim. My Toy looks wonderful again. I'm so glad I went to CarStar! Thank you so much to everyone in the front office and the hard workers in the back. Cheers!

WHAT A RUN AROUND, STAY AWAY......... Thought they were a great place to deal with, until their own call review system failed them, after I had asked the person on the phone to stop calling twice a day till after the repairs were completed, repairs that should have been dealt with the first visit. I told that person I’d personally contact this location in the new year to complete the repairs. Well when I contacted them in the new year, the girl I spoke to told me I had filed a negative review which was not the case. Was told owner was done with me and that if I was unsatisfied to take my vehicle to ICBC and the local GM dealer. I was told that the owner was on vacation untill January 15th. I contacted their head office and was told a regional manager would be contacting me which still hasn’t happened to this date. I wanted to fix this misunderstanding, something that I shouldn’t have even needed to do in the first place. I called the shop directly this morning to speak to the owner and was given the run around, I was told he doesn’t actually work from this location, I was told my language was to harsh and when I apologized I was told my tone was to much for them and was hung up on. My anger and review of this place is completely justified in my mind. I now will take my vehicle to ICBC, I’ve already made the call. They will see the bad paint work, poor positioning of my new GM factory bumper and the new factory GM headlamp that keeps fogging up. You would think it would easier for this business to just ask that I pop in for a look before determining the issues without even looking at them and writing it off by telling a customer to talk to ICBC and hanging up. No one needs to be run around. If you take your vehicle in for repairs somewhere it should been completed correctly, no one should have to go thru this especially with a newer vehicle. They are there to return your vehicle back to you the way it was, not just bandaid it and say good bye. Take your vehicle else where............. Update, 2019 I took my vehicle to ICBC, who agreed with me and actually found more failures then I could even see. ICBC a got involved and Carstar agreed to make good, which never happened. This shop couldn’t even reach what is referred to a industry standard repairs, unnoticeable at 1m or 3ft. We all deserve better then what is called an industry standard repair. Well in the end this shop did nothing to actually resolve this matter. I was tired of the run around and finally traded my vehicle in on a new one. The vehicle dealership looked at the work completed, the photos, and documents and they knew it was Carstar and felt they could rectify this matter themselves, thru Carstar corporate I’d guess. Something this local Carstar location in Courtenay was unable to do. Such a small repair that should have easily been dealt with, don’t settle with lousy repairs. Get it fixed right. ELSEWHERE

I have used Carstar before and always have a great experience. This time a fellow hit the front tire and bumper on my truck you couldn't find the same custom rim so they sent it away and had it fixed then fixed my front bumper back to new. Great customer service and job Wayne
