Just moved to Ottawa and we were in need of a couch. Tony helped us tremendously and I cant recommend him enough. There was a minor mix up on my end but everything was instantly fixed thanks to him and we got an even better couch then we bargained for. The couch has held up great and the movers were extremely kind. Would definitely go back again for any other furniture needs.
Shopping for a new bed can be a daunting task. However, our experience at The Brick in Chatham, Ontario made this task enjoyable and less stressful. All of the staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We especially appreciated all of the personalized service and assistance we received from Shirley! She took the time to educate us about the products and it was obvious that she really cared about helping us make the perfect selection that would work for us. We were also impressed with the warranty that The Brick offers. Knowing they stand behind their products AND offer friendly customer service says we will be back again for all of our future furniture/appliance purchases! Thank you!

Never ever tell a customer you will call them back in 1/2hr and don't do so. Seems to be the standard practice for the brick.
Moving is always stressful and so is purchasing all new appliances! The staff at Chatham The Brick, in particular Damien and Mike, went above and beyond to answer all my questions and coordinate the easiest delivery for me. In fact, I was a bit of a pain and changed the delivery location and dates on them but they were pros and were so helpful! Thanks guys!

Not so good
I purchased an washer and dryer from her last year. I also purchased a warranty for both. My dryer has been broken for 5 weeks. I sent emails to the warranty provider. I have called in and sat on the phone waiting for someone to help for 25 minutes or more twice with no response. I have been having to take my clothes to a laundromat for 5 WEEKS to dry them! If you buy from here be very cautious of the warranty process. They definitely like to make you wait to have items fixed you already paid warranty for.

We ordered a couch and fridge over the weekend. Our first trip was fine, however, we needed to cancel the fridge so we went back (Monday, Nov 9). The girl at the desk clearly had no idea what she was doing as I watched her aimlessly click around on the computer, she didn't bother to tell us she needed someone to help her, just made us wait thinking she was processing our refund. Then the guy that did come was incredibly rude and condescending when we said we were cancelling because we received a brand new fridge for free. He then proceeded to try and upsell us a warranty on the couch we were still ordering, after we already declined when we first purchased it. He would NOT stop selling, my boyfriend literally had to say no THREE times...the first no should have been enough. Then when I tried to confirm the delivery date of the couch (the sales person on the weekend said "your locked in delivery date is *insert date*" the guy told us that we did not have this delivery date.. that it needed to be scheduled when the couch arrived in store... I had already booked the damn day off at work, so who's lying? The uncharismatic sales guy from the weekend WHO SAID OUR DELIVERY DATE WAS LOCKED IN SO I BOOKED IT OFF WORK or the rude warranty seller who seemingly didn't believe we got a free fridge... Either way we won't be back here again for the other furniture we need to buy! UPDATE DEC 10/2020 - My BF went in as we have not received a call, and they told him our delivery date is scheduled for December 23rd... no one called to ask or tell us, we would have had no idea if my BF didn't go in the store to check.
I went in to look around for some deals! Michelle helped me find a new weighted blanket that I have been looking for forever for an awesome deal! Will def be going back there for my shopping needs!

This is by far one of my most memorable shopping experiences and would recommend going here to even compare pricing if looking around. The manager of this store was friendly, professional and knows his stuff. I ended up getting a deal so great I probably can't announce it, but trust me... worth the stop.

I have to say what a difference I swore never to shop here again after a really bad experience. Do to a warranty issue it was a necessity I was not looking forward to. The new management is great. Poor selection
The Brick tent sale had some really good deals. I did find that yesterday Monday the 14th. Was quite understaffed for the amount of customers. I want to give a great words of accomplishment to Kayla M. She was kind, respectful in assisting every customer, even verbal and visual contact to know that she didnt forget about us. If not for her we would have left. We appreciate what she offers and we will return looking forward to her service.

My wife and I purchased kitchen appliance recently from the Brick Store in Chatham, ON. A sales associate named Damien was very resourceful assisting with our choices by answering all the questions we had. We found him very courteous and professional and willing to assist our needs. A good experience. Great sense of humour too.
Worst ever will never shop there again. Bought brass bed and still waiting for parts to arrive so I can actually use it. Keep getting told will call back but have not heard from them. Called several times told they know nothing about it. Will look into it and call back just a big run around . I was even told to get parts for bed at hardware store after spending good money for bedset. It is sad when you try to shop Canadian and get such poor customer service. Still waiting for parts and hope somehow will receive them so I don't have a useless bed set I cannot even use .

Wanted to buy a new mattress. I was specific about what I wanted and Damien showed me various options to accommodate. He listened to my request and was informative and knowledgeable. Am very happy with my purchase and my husband even was shown a leather 2seat recliner which suited his needs as well. Damien facilitated our happy purchases in a proficient manner. Delivery was arranged and those fellows did an excellent job as well. Very satisfied and work well done.

I left a review about a fridge that never actually arrived and had to receive a refund but this is now an EXPERIENCE about the Samsung washing machine. The Brick Chatham delivered a washing machine early November 2018 it broke down December 2nd a technician showed up to tell me we need a part that will take 7 days however it’s now December 12 I rang them and they cannot get the part installed until December 21st. I rang Mike today at the store Dec 12 and asked for a drycleaning credit or something as my laundry is piled up high and the answer was NO. Please if you don’t need to shop here DONT SHOP HERE!!!!! It truly is the lousiest customer service I have ever EXPERIENCED. Not to mention the poor quality of the item.

Ordered chairs for our dining table. Great advice on which were suitable for our needs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Chairs are both sturdy and comfortable.
In a word, LOUSY. Overpriced, too. Nary a soul was to be found, or offered any sort of assistance to me. As a matter of fact, the place seemed deader than a doornail. Like taking a walk through a museum. All their warranty work is outsourced to the highly incompetent Transglobal corporation, who wouldn't know how to change a light bulb even if they had printed instructions. That's how bad it is. I don't know how this place manages to stay open as I never see any cars there. Just a big, empty store with nobody inside. Probably will be gone soon...

Second time purchasing from this location. Just went in to browse both times but had amazing service and ended up purchasing each time. After shopping every other store in the city for a specific item, I spoke with the Manager Matt and he was able to order me the perfect item to solve my problem. Only took a couple of days to arrive and when I returned to pick up my order, I was greeted quickly and professionally by Matt to make sure everything was taken care off. I would definitely return to this store. You get what you pay for!
Great service. We had a situation where a fridge we bought from the Brick 3.5 years ago was repairable and the warranty company would only give us 56% of the value of the fridge. We already had bad experiences dealing with the Brick in Chatham when the fridge was purchased. The new manager(Matt D.) ensured us that those bad experiences had been taken care of. He went out of his way to find us a replacement fridge at a great deal and even met with us after hours to finalize the order because we couldn't make it in during his normal work time. Overall a good experience and easy to deal with.
shopping for living furniture and I was presently surprised at how attentive my sales associate was , Shirley. Gave me all the information I needed to make a wise decision . Very satisfied with my purchase and I will definitely shop there again when the need arises . Store was very clean and tidy.
The salespeople that I bought thru were great. They were friendly and professional and courteous. But one of the appliances that i ordered, looked totally different than their website. I contacted the Brick right away. They make you deal with it at store level. Wendy, from the Chatham store gave me the runaround for 20 days. When I finally asked why she was giving me the runaround, she ended the issue with a couple lies and they refuse to resolve the issue. I now have to file a credit card dispute. I do not recommend shopping at the Brick if you want to receive what you actually ordered and paid for.
I had been delaying my purchase on a new living room set as prior experiences have been disappointing and tiresome. Recently, a broken dishwasher necessitated my need to look into replacing the appliance and consider updating my living room furniture. Thankfully, a friend recommended I speak to Tony at The Brick. Tony was personable, knowledgeable, and made the entire process quick and easy. I left purchasing exactly what I wanted, capitalizing on some deal suggestions that Tony had. I can honestly admit that I have not previously had a pleasant experience buying appliances and furniture and Tony quickly changed that. Not only would I recommend his services, but I expect to work with him for years to come for all my home furnishing needs.

Ordered item as a Christmas present online and was informed to pick up at my local store on Dec 15. Got to the store and they had no idea for the first 10 minutes, only to find out later that the product was on back order until at least Jan. 22. We received no notification from the company or the store. Nobody seemed the least bit concerned. Ridiculous!

The experience from beginning to end was terrible. I ordered online then went in store to pick up, I ordered the mattress and boxspring in store so they could get the commission and the sales manager badgered me continuously about ordering online how they don't get paid and I shouldn't do that. I went back again and ordered a box spring and asked to make sure they would let me know when it arrived. The representative said they don't call but it would be there Wednesday. I asked if I should call first to make sure because last time they told me the bed arrived I drove 30 minutes to pick it up and it wasn't there. The rep sarcastically said you can go the the parking lot and I will call you and tell you Wednesday if that makes you feel better. The icing on the cake was when the boxspring arrived we picked it up got it home and they called us to tell us they gave us the wrong one and basically demanded I bring it back the next day. I said no and told them they needed to come up with a solution. I called back the next day after not hearing back and after not a single apology for the error the basically said it was our fault since my husband should have known what we were picking up and checked the receipt. The one they had there for us that THEY ordered was also the wrong one. Not impressed and will NOT be back and I suggest no one else shops here either.

My unique 24"stove bit the dust, I went price matching at Leon's and Tepperman's...The Brick beat the best price by $200.00. Which allowed me to get a 5 year warranty on top of, getting the stove I truly wanted rather than settling because of high prices else where. The warranty works I recommend it to anyone buying appliances.! Thank you Mike Lachine for your spot on help.
