After previously experiencing unsatisfactory work by general contractors following an insurance claim, we lucked into finding Rick. He is a multi-purpose creative problem solver for us when we have home maintenance jobs big or small. His finishing work is meticulous, his presence in the home is non-invasive and tidy, and he is versatile, pleasant, and accommodating. We’ll never go with an insurance-company recommended contractor again now that we know that Rick can do the same job but better, and at a more reasonable price.

I highly recommend Rick's services. I have been a client of his for 18 years and I trust him completely with all my painting and moulding projects. In addition to being reliable and honest (two very important qualities!), he is a perfectionist who delivers great work. He shows up when he says he will. The prices are what he says they will be. And when he leaves, either at the end of each day (if he is painting several rooms) or when he finishes a one-day job, he leaves the place spotless. Rick was efficient on the time he said he would be here and his estimate but quality wasn’t there. We hired him to paint our whole house and refresh it up. The repairs to the existing holes and dents prior to painting our colours were of pour quality. We still see all the repairs even after a second visit to repair them. As well, protection of the floors was below grade we have paint all over our terra cotta floors in our hall way. We called him again and he said he would get back to us concerning a date to repair and finish what wasn’t done properly the first time. To be fair though, there was a balance owed on the assumption that he come back and fix his work . That was April 6 th of 2021 !! As of yet, nothing. This being said, I wouldn’t refer this company to anyone.

This praise for Rick is LONG overdue... in 2013, Rick was referred to us by good friends. We needed repairs and paint done in an executive rental home we were selling. It was time sensitive and Rick tackled the project to help us meet our deadlines. His diligent communication and follow up, counsel and approach to each task, meticulous quality of work and on budget made it such a pleasure to work with him. Incidentally, the new owners also hired Rick when they moved in. I can't believe it's been 7 years. We're lucky to be able to count on him and look forward to finding jobs for him just so we can reconnect. His thoughtful approach, analysis and guidance is always appreciated. He is so honest and treats our projects like he would if they were his own. The restoration of our wood garage doors was a major project. They are stunning and bring a warmth and richness to the house that was missing. He also takes the initiative to contact us for follow up maintenance every few years so they stay in top shape! Thanks for everything you do. We're always beyond pleased with the result.

Rick is quite honestly the fastest and best painter I have ever hired to paint. He was extremely helpful when it came to my questions on colours. The job was professional and my house looks new again! All repairs were done perfectly and paint job was immaculate! My place was also left very clean. Rick did an amazing job in Nov. in our house. We are so happy we found him. He repainted the first floor, ceilings and walls, resurfaced the walls in the entrance where we had an old fashioned wallpaper, repainted cabinets in the washroom, added some mouldings and baseboards, and more, and more. He's into details, very meticulous, he has always good suggestions to improve the final look. Very good customer service, always listening and understanding what you want. He's a great worker, very organised and prompt to answer any questions. Plus he's a gentleman. We are so happy with the final result. Rick est très attentif, discret, organisé. Rick / RJ painting is an awesome and meticulous painter and decorator. He has painted our entire house (some areas more than once) and has also repaired imperfections in the walls, removed stucco ceilings, replastered after pot light installations, installed crown mouldings and chair rails, hung new doors and so much more.
