Never will I ever buy anything from here again I had bought a skidoo belt they for gor to give me my receipt and the belt blew a hole through my cab there was a 30 day return policy in store they wouldnt take it back the belt was made by dayco belts plus the belt haves a warranty through company so I dont k ow why they let Canadian tire sell there products

Got a flat tire and had to pull in to Canadian tire since that was the closest place to where I was. I went in and asked about getting the tire replaced, they could do it 5 days later. I'm not sure how a place is booked so solid that they can't take 5 minutes to swap 1 tire, but seeing only 2 cars in the 6 bay garage and getting a 5 day time frame made me laugh quietly to myself. The rep the said "sorry porkchop" and left. A+ customer service.

Don't bother buying paint from Canadian Tire because their paint mixing equipment and other paint equipment is always broken and also the department is unwilling to help you with any paint questions. Also very hard to get help from staff. You practically have to search for them. If one staff member can't answer, they "phone" another staff member and well you have to wait for hours for that person to come .....They never come.

Today I attended this store to make a fairly large purchase. The guys in the electronic area were more than helpful. Things started when we got to the counter where we met up with Cheryl. To say we were treated horribly is an understatment. I will call tomorrow to let them know of our experience. This lady should not deal Frontline with customers, and if speaking to people is beyond her. Then she should retire. She was rude, very abrupt and was shouting from the desk she was standing at a dressing a customer to see if they wanted to apply monies from their triangle card. If I had not dealt with the kind gents prior I'd have walked out of store leaving my purchase there. Someone needs too give Cheryl some training on customer service or move her to the warehouse.

From last 2 months i am going back and forth to this store in Charlottetown but everytime i go there they tell me the product is here, but we are not able to find it come tomorrow it ahould be here. Then they told me to order the product online and pickup from store i did that twice and both of the time they gave me wrong thing is the staff blind or illiterate to see what i have ordered and what they are giving me. Horrible experience poor management. Product is Dr do professional insect killer.

I always have consistently fantastic experiences at the Charlotterown Canadian Tire. The wonderful people who make this store so fantastic create a welcoming and cheerful atmosphere that makes shopping an easy and fun activity. Darlene, the manager always makes the customer her top priority and is a kind and welcoming presence, treating everyone like family! Our most recent experience was made especially wonderful by Barrett and Bobby from the Parts and Service departments. Throughout the entire experience I felt confident in their kindness, ability and experience. Barrett reached out from his heart to assist me with getting my part and guiding me through the process so that the Service department could install the part on my vehicle. Bobby, the mechanic was clearly extremely skilled and treated my car with respect. I was so impressed by both Barrett and Bobby I wanted to share this story! With this location's effort to reach out to each customer with genuine kindness and a willingness go above and beyond, it creates a wonderful place that Canadian Tire's head office can be proud of and hold up as an example of excellence!

I never leave reviews, but I feel I had to on this one particular visit. I was very disappointed. I saw a grill on sale on the Canadian Tire website that was perfect for my husband for Christmas. It said there were 3 in stock at the store. I went to the store and didn't see it on the shelf or on the middle aisle displays, so I ask an employee. They try to find it on the shelves but weren't able to. Then, he goes and checks in the back. He comes back maybe 5-10 mins later and let's me know they're bringing them out from the back. I say thank you then wait 20 mins. Then I ask another employee about the grill cause I had been waiting awhile. The new employee and the original one (who showed up about the same time, soaked from being outside) kinda talked to me but more so with each other and say they thought they found it but they think it's a different one. The new employee suggests to the the original employee to have so and so assist them in finding it. So, I wait another 45 mins until the original employee returns. At first, he was walking towards me then stops to talk with another employee for 5 mins. Then he eventually makes his way towards me and kinda looks at me like he wasn't sure it was me he was helping (honestly like he just took a lunch break and was coming back, but I'm only guessing) and I ask him were you able to find the grill? He said no. I asked if the website is not accurate then with having 3 in stock. He said someone moved it without putting in where they moved it cause they pretty much don't know how to do their job. I thought to myself, sounds like a common problem around there. But at that point I was very frustrated cause amongst the 10 or so employees I saw walking around, no one could help this guy or even asked if I was being helped. They seemed more concerned with talking with eachother or restocking shelves than helping customers out. Another lady was waiting awhile for an employee to ask for assistance in getting something off a higher shelf while I was waiting. I waited probably way too long to be told no, I can't find it. Giving this guy the benefit of the doubt that he'd find it in the back cause the website said that they were in stock. I mean, it's December and a grill. It's not like it's the middle of July. Anyway, the guy gave me a raincheck slip and I had to ask how it works cause clearly customer service is not a priority in this store. He said I would have to call the store and ask about the grill. Then, I asked if I did the order online and pickup in store would that be any different? He said no, probably not cause the order would get sent to one of them on the floor and then they would have to go look for it. Sorry bud if I'm actually having to make you work, geez. Seems so much trouble for a grill. I left this store feeling so frustrated and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I should've just left maybe 15 mins in, but I wanted to shop somewhat local and save myself the waiting on shipping. Trusty ole Amazon won again. Sure I spent a little more and I have to wait a few days for shipping, but I probably got a better grill anyway and way less of a headache/faith in humanity. Canadian Tire train your employees to provide good customer service and to remember that the customers give them a job. Or maybe I'm crazy?! :D

Positives is the staff are mostly nice and try to be helpful and some do know what they are talking about. The issues are that some staff don’t know basic information, and recently the system to find products has not been working. Looking things up on my phone is slow because the store has a weak signal for data with multiple carriers. This really can be over looked but the biggest problem the store is an organizational mess it is hard to navigate as they fill the space between aisles and some aisles are blocked that a cart can’t go through. The store has to much for the space and it makes shopping frustrating.

Unfortunately, I had to hold my breath while in his presence. His body odor was overwhelming! I hope his supervisor can encourage him to wash himself!!!

It was absolutely packed at the check out, everyone was every where. Workers push by you without saying excuse me. When we went to pick up our item around back we were waiting and waiting like they told us to (along with three other cars) so my hubby got out and rang the door bells, no one even knew we were there. Then they tried to give us a damaged item, which we said no to and finally got what we paid for.

Update - Canadian Tire has reached out to me on several fronts, both from the corporate office as well my local store. In both cases I was really quite happy with the response I received. My faith has been somewhat restored in this company, so I've amended my review to reflect how they did their best to rectify my issues. Though I obviously cannot give a perfect 5 star review, it's great to see a company try to fix their mistakes. I have really mixed feelings about Canadian Tire. Sometimes you get great service other times not so much. I buy a lot here so I would like to feel like a valued customer, however during a recent transaction, I had tried to return a defective sander under warranty, I was treated as if I was trying to get away with something. The problem being the sander I had was discontinued and a new model took its place. The lady at the customer service desk was very unwilling to help, she kind of had the attitude of it's not my problem. Why have a 3-year warranty and not honour it. They eventually gave me the product replacing my sander but the customer rep acted like I stole it right out of her paycheck. Do better Canadian Tire.

Update*** they got my tree! Excited to have my tree. I came in after the email sent out about 2 weeks after ordering my tree. When I got to the desk and after 10’mins the rep said there was no tree. I wasn’t a happy camper. I walk out of the store, and thought to myself - it’s time be expected given the amount of time it has taken them up to this point. Just before leaving the side way. The costumer rep (young dude, dark hair) Hollared and chased me down. “We found your tree!!!” Haha, thought it was hilarious. I left happy, but still think it’s necessary to doc a few points for there lack of thoroughness when it came to my online order. Buyers Beware *** Having a troubling experience with the online to store system. It’s been a week of wanting for something in stock at this location. A rep in the costumer service department was extremely rude to deal with. Offering no solution and flat out pushing me to cancel the order on the phone with her. It’s was an awful experience. I do care the orders late; but to be treated in such regard on my $700+ order, is outright unacceptable. An absolute slap in the face. The pricing is good and they have a Maple leaf in there logo. The only reason I give them a star Otherwise, I would not give this location a thing. I could understand maybe in December when it’s actually busy, but November, with an online order. That should have been there ?! And they can’t find. I’ve made 6 trips to this location in efforts to receive my order and my requests are met with confusion and disregard. They they need to tune up before the busiest time of year. Management should get things in order to capture this short window of opportunity. Otherwise this season they will see significant loses

I went to buy a new kitchen faucet. I decided on one that was on sale at the end of an aisle, where sale items tend to be displayed. After paying for it, as I was walking out, I realized I was charged full price. I immediately walked back up to customer service, explained that it was on sale, according to the tag. She called down and asked if there was a sale tag for that price and was told no, hung up with the person on the other end and told me there was no sale tag and this was the price. I knew this wasn't true...I had just spent 30 mins in that section, looking at all the options. So I went to get the tag. When I was approaching the end display with the on sale faucets, I saw an employee walking away from it...and I could see the tag was NOT there anymore. She walked to the paint desk, next to the items and opened the drawer and started to shove a sale tag in it. I stopped her, asking if she had just been called about a tag and she said yes. I asked to see the tag in her hand and it was the one I was looking for. When I told her that I had been the one that purchased the faucet, which I did bc of the 40% off sale tag that was now in her hand, she started walking around with it, looking everywhere but where it had come from. When I pointed to the spot where I had gotten the faucet, at the end of the aisle, where there were 4 more of the exact ones, she started stammering. I took the tag to show the name and brand matched and turned to go back to customer service to get it all sorted out. But then I wanted an explanation. So I asked her what was going on and why she told her coworker there was no tag and then immediately took the tag down and tried to hide it. She proceeded to tell me that she wasn't talking to anyone about that sale tag. So I reminded her that she had already told me she had been. I went back to customer service and explained what had just happened. The employee was shocked by it all and very apologetic and even gave me an additional $10 off. She also said she would be speaking with the manager about it. I assume the tag was suppose to be taken down and wasn't. So when asked about it, the young lady decided to lie and try to hide it than to own up to the mistake, knowing that they would have to give it to me at the advertised price. Shady af ???? And the sad part is, if they hadn't been so dishonest about it all, I probably would have just bought my second choice, which was an equally good deal...if that sale tag was current.

I generally don't love this store, I often find it impossible to find anyone to help. I was looking for anyone in the tool section today- nadda. Paint desk- nadda. I looped the store and finally asked one of the tire guys if he could help me find the right drill battery. He was super helpful and I wound up finding the right thing. Props to him. If Home Depot sold what I needed though, I would have walked out after looping an empty store. Would give this store a 2 or 3, but a guy named Blain was super helpful.

Aisles full of tacky, made-to-break spam items, blocking every aisle. They didn't have a screwdriver in their store 2 months ago. A generic, universal screwdriver with multiple bits. Staff couldn't find one. Home depot had a wall of them. Shoppers drug mart even had one. Great new location, ruined by chaotic layout (want an air conditioner? Every 4 floor displays or so, find a "sale" on one).

It amazes me how customer service's is terribly awful at any Canadian Tire no matter where I go. Spent almost a grand 1K yesterday and could have spent more but the lack of help or knowledge left me forgoing a few items, I was served and told they had to look in the warehouse to see if an item was there after waiting for 37 minutes I had enough made my way to the cash and continued purchasing my needs to the Home Depot where I got exceptional services.

Shopping at this store can be very dunting for me as a women. Everytime going into the parts department I don't like you either get the guy that doesn't know anything about parts or the guy that trys to tell you don't need that part and it's this part when you tell whats going on with your vichele. This store I like walking around browsing and just looking. I always look at the clearance rack because you just never know what you will find.

I bought a few things at 4 pm, a young girl cashier, no greetings, no smiley, maybe because I was slower to find a card, I ask her if she can write the balance of the card On the gift card, she stroked with a pen and said "the pen is broken, there is on the receipt," rudely told me, "more than 30 left!" I have bought a set of 11 pots, a very heavy box, I laboriously moved a large box from the bottom of the shopping cart to the checkout counter, and then moved back to the shopping cart. My hand was still scratched, and she stood there all the way without doing anything. The cashier's cold attitude is no different from the machine. In this way, I will choose the automatic cash register system next time, maybe there will be a good day. Except that I am very satisfied with the products I bought this time.

Spoke with Christen in service over the phone, while I was talking she transferred me to another department. I spoke with another lady who transferred me back to service to speak with a manager. The manager did not even apologize as if nothing happened. They need to understand that we as a customers pay for the service we get, we are not getting it for free. And everybody know that Canadian tire charge more than other shops. I guess it’s time to take my business somewhere else, but I wanted to share my experience.

I had to go back home to look on my email to get the number. Not too happy about it. But when I went back a nice young gentleman got it for me no problem. A surprise! From the road, it barely looks like the Canadian Tires we're used to seeing. It's also seriously small... Step inside, however, and you're in for a pleasant shock. Every square millimetre is filled with stock. If they don't have it, you don't need it. The staff are amazingly friendly and go well or if their way to help you with everything you need.

Looting Customers, At first they failed my safety inspection, and asked me to install headlamp worth 120 dollars including labor and cost. But after checking with other mechanic in the town he said there was no problem with headlamp. I went back and said same, and they passed it after check. So it means they just want to loot you or they don't know to fix the cars. Further, they wasted my time. Not Recommended!

Great new store but same crappie service and wait time. I have gone to the parts desk 3 times since the new store opened and every time I have to wait at least 10-15 minutes before an associate will talk to me. I see plenty walk right by me but not one takes the time to stop and tell me that they will be right with me. In fact, they seem to be annoyed that they have another customer to deal with. Today I called the service desk to make an appointment to have 4 new tires put on my vehicle as well as an alignment. I am planning on buying my tires at the store and already have them picked out. Anyway, I was immediately put on hold and remained on hold for over 15 minutes before I got fed up and hung up the phone. I called back but this time dialed the parts desk. Again, I was immediately put on hold and left there until I got tired of waiting and just hung up! When is this store ever going to take their customers serious and stop treating them like they are an inconvenience? I have pretty much reached the point that I would rather spend the extra money somewhere else and get good service rather than save a few dollars and be treated like a ghost. Just because you guys have a nice new store doesn't mean you can slack in customer service.

Lower my rating to a one star cause of the experience I got there on Dec 20 2021. To further explain I'm not satisfied with their debit machines cause they debit card to lock and I had to pay cash, the last bit I had in my pocket, which in turn I couldn't get anything else that night that I really need like my groceries and furnace oil. So in turn I had no milk or heat for the night. I will NEVER use debit there again.

The service at Canadian Tire Charlottetown breaks the stigma of other Canadian Tires, and yes... you've definitely heard that stigma. I've been going to Canadian Tire Charlottetown for a few years because the service is that good. I've dealt with all the service advisors who provide outstanding customer service every single time, as well as Mark the service manager who continues to ensure that everything is as it should be. The main mechanic I deal with is Kenny. The entire team is great, but Kenny understands how picky I am... but if you're looking for a group who will be honest and upfront with you about your vehicle, and not try to tell you that you need unnecessary repairs that you don't - Canadian Tire should be your first stop. I also called in because I had friends from away who had a break down on their journey home (brake line busted) and CT was swamped. Mark tried to squeeze it in, made no promises but said they could bring it in to see what they could do... next morning, they were on the road home and SAFE which is what is most important and they didn't have to stay another 1-2 weeks for someone else to get them in. Mark and the entire service team at Canadian Tire went above and beyond on multiple occasions, and I've also heard excellent feedback from others around me.

5 stars easily for the service department! I'm an out of towner here with my wife and two kids for a soccer tournament . My 2011 GMC developed a break issue where i just managed to get it to this store. My truck would have been unusable with a seized caliper until Monday if the staff members didn't manage to squeeze me in with an already busy day and only one licensed mechanic on site. Thanks to both service advisors (Hossein & Cheryl) on duty, the parts department for tracking down the last needed part and a gold star for the mechanic Brian. I appreciate you taking the time to explain things to me.

Great huge store!but in response to the person who is not happy with wait times etc...Just like any other big store these days the staffing is controlled by head office and they just keep chopping hours . The current staff have to run around like chickens with their heads cut off to get their work done often doing the work of 2.5 people. Don't blame the staff, PLEASE! it is out of their control. They are doing the best they can. I do not work for CT but I do work for another large company that operates the same way. We get get crapped on by the public also. It isn't the "little people" in the store who are at fault it is the greedy money chasers at the top.

I have had a few experiences taking my Uplander to the auto shop at Canadian Tire. I've been very impressed each time at the professional and pleasant service. The most recent times were "emergency" situations, and they fit me in without difficulty. Working a few kilometers away, I appreciated the use of their shuttle service so I that I did not have to catch the bus and get to work on time. I will continue to take my vehicle there.

Like the store but everytime I go to buy shotgun shells it's a 20 minute or more wait at the ammunition cabinet. There is nobody in the department and once you ask another employee if someone has a key they walk away come back 5 or ten minutes later and the same employee opens the cabinet. You go to the parts counter and tell them the year , make, and model of your car and they go and give you parts for a truck that you don't Even own. This happens over and over again. Or you call for something and they tell you that they have lots but when you get there they tell you that they have been out for a week. I had problems with senior management and learned quickly that they behave badly because of the trickle down attitude from the franchisee. Canadian Tire Head Office was more than happy to resolve my complaints.
