Michaels is pretty much the place to go for arts, crafts and hobbies. They have decent specials and there is certainly a wide variety, for all ages and tastes. It is a chain store, and can't replace smaller finer arts stores.

As a 30 year old mother of two boys, for some reason every time I walk into the store either an employee or the manager follows me and basically harrasses me. The manager is always rude towards me when i have given them no reason at all for her to act that way. Its fusterating to the point, that I would rather shop some where else where i am comfortable shopping instead of being treated as if I am going to steal amd not pay for an item. They should learn not to judge anyone who walks into Michaels unless given a good reason to do so.

This is a large craft store with a broad set of choices. I was disappointed in the pastel paints and fabric paint I bought. They had dried up in their bottles. I was able to return them with only the inconvenience of the extra trip.

I love the store and the staff is always friendly. Look for the deals and you'll find yourself buying more than what you came in for. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Careful though if you don't use the discounts their items tend to be pricier than elsewhere. Install their app on your phone and you'll always have easy access to the coupons :) It's also good to know that teachers get 15% off regular price items for the entire purchase.

My all time favourite store! Even to just browse. No matter how many hours I spend browsing (literally almost everyday), I continue to find new things to buy, new ideas for crafts and new "past times" to turn into full time hobbies. No matter the craft, Michael's (no matter what area) always has a broad selection of materials and products to experiment with! It is almost like a new "treasure hunt" with each visit I make!!! . These treasure hunts make for more craft ideas and plans for many more future treasure hunts. The only thing I would change would be having more "new products" available more often, also expanding the products available in many of the brands already available (I.e Faber castell polychromos, pentel pen line (i.e sparkle, milky pops pens), Koh-I-nor polycolors full sets, happy planner "project paper" overall more planning supplies, binding machine products, electric erasers, more coloring book variety(with affordable pricing), ceramics and ceramic molds, cases for office supplies, red heart bulk yarn etc). It may or may not be disappointing as well that the amount of products added to the everyday value selection prohibits the use of any offered coupons on everyday value items. This forced me to purchase any higher priced items on Amazon, when Michael's moved a lot of their higher priced items to everyday value and stopped allowing coupons on said products, Amazon would have these products listed for approx the price it would have been had they allowed the coupon! Cheaper and free shipping; however I would much rather purchase from Michael's if they would honor coupons on EDV items as well has broaden their inventory under brands currently offered!! LOVE LOVE LOVE Michaels!!
