Been waiting for 5 months to get garage repaired through TD Insurance. On site keeps giving us a day to show up but they never do.

Initial contact was professional but they would not give a quote on how much the job would cost. When the work was completed, it was not done correctly and it was ridiculously expensive. Numerous attempts to contact project manager with zero follow up. Completely unprofessional.

Took 2 months to finish my flooded bedroom (Pretty minor flood as the carpet barely got wet mostly just the sub flooring). Emergency crews were fast and efficient but as soon as it turned into an insurance claim there was very little interest and communication was lacking. I will say that the crews did a good job when they did come but there is absolutely no reason it should have taken 2 months to finish when each crew took less than 2 hours to do their particular jobs. Highly dissatisfied and would never recommend. They also lost my house key which is my own fault for trusting the crew with it but also important to remember when deciding to choose this company.

Poor service and lack of communication, work was decent except for the marks left on the wall that never got repaired ( caught on camera ) never received a follow up call, After employees were showing up at all hours from 7am to 4pm and never a call in advance to let us know when they would be there, hard to be at 2 places at once to allow workers in when you work a regular hour job 5/6 days the week.. I would not recommend to friends or family.

What a positive experience has been working with the entire team at FIRSTONSITE RESTORATION. From the response to the damage in our home, taking care of everything from removing everything with in the space to the demolition and clean up which was left spotless. We have pets and they all came up to pet them and where so kind to them as well for me that speaks volumes. From something upsetting such a huge leak in our home came something so positive and an wonderful experience. We will make sure to recommend you to everyone we know.

We had some damage from Dorian, not just us but the island and maritimes was hit hard. It took a bit to get the window done but it was not entirely FirstOnSites fault. Just as they were getting ready to do the last part, the pandemic started, employees are hard to get, well in the end Jeremey and his team did a FANTASTIC job. Yes it took longer then it should have, but there was extenuating circumstance, so If ever we needed them again I would without hesitation call them back.

After 6 months of follow ups with this company, I’ve decided to make my experience public. They have been terrible to deal with and are just constantly giving us excuses when it comes to repairing damaged floors. They don’t even respond to emails. We specifically have been trying to speak with Tony, who has not responded once to any of my emails. Do not trust them. Better to go elsewhere.

I called this morning for an emergency and it takes forever to answer all your questions. You manage emergencies, you should understand that when we have a water damage, that it flows a flow as big as the arm I can not take 10 minutes of my time to answer questions from the tite madam who is just too calm . I need to call 2, 3, 4 companies after disaster and take the first one that may be on site. No time to fool around with a 30 question form (I'm exaggerating but barely). It's the same deal with the plumber, call you 5 to get one. The last time I called it was 4 months ago and I had no choice but to do business with you, it was the same business it was leaking in the building and I had to go through your form ... After the form of the madam, the service is impeccable, nothing to say. In short, improve your process because it's really frustrating. (Original) Bonjour, Théoriquement je donnerais plus que 2 étoiles pour le service, mais je vais donner deux à cause de votre centrale d'appel. J'ai appelé ce matin pour une urgence pis ça prend une éternité répondre à toutes vos questions. Vous gérez des urgences, vous devriez comprendre que quand on a un dégât d'eau, que ça coule un débit gros comme le bras je ne peux pas prendre 10 minutes de mon temps pour répondre aux questions de la tite madame qui est juste trop calme. Il faut j’appelle 2, 3, 4 compagnies après sinistre et que je prenne la première qui peut être sur place. Pas le temps de niaiser avec un formulaire de 30 questions (j'exagère mais à peine). C'est la même affaire avec le plombier, t'en appelle 5 pour en avoir un. La dernière fois que j'ai appelé c'est il y avait 4 mois et je n'avais pas le choix de faire affaire avec vous, c'était la même affaire ça coulait dans l'immeuble pis fallait que je passe au travers votre formulaire... Passé le formulaire de la tite madame, le service est impeccable, rien à dire. Bref améliorez votre processus parce que c'est vraiment frustrant.

We had an oil spill at a commercial building and the oil company called a different restoration company. After waiting many hours with no ETA, FirstOnSite was called to deal with the problem. Within 2 hours they had cleaned up the spill, isolated the spill site, set up air treatment systems and made everyone feel much better about the situation. The team was very professional and communicated effectively with all who needed information. I highly recommend their services.

We had a water leak in our kitchen, called our insurance company and they immediately contacted Restauration PremièreAction to come to our aid. The incident happened March 28-29 2018. We are July 18, 2018 ... we have had multiple issues starting with them not respecting their own schedule, endless excuses, and 4 months later our kitchen, living room and dining rooms are still unusable. For example, our prestige kitchen cabinets were removed without protection and dumped like garbage on our garage floor - pieces are today still stacked upon each other incurring unnecessary additional damages; the so-called “tentative” schedule of Restauration PremièreAction was not respected and our pleas for them to continue the work and accountability fall on deaf ears. We have been waiting 1-2 weeks of no action on their part to do the painting. We were told that due to vacation holidays... work in our home will continue August 8th onward. This is NOT acceptable. We are so FED up. We are speaking to our insurance company about this awful service to find a solution. Montreal, Quebec ????????

Terrible customer service. The man we dealt with was so demanding and seemed to have a very negative demeanour. We just went through a terrible experience of a huge flood and the loss of several damaged items only to have him demand certain times he will come to our home, not working with us at all and then saying we were uncooperative...?? When you arrange a time for a job the customer is also making arrangements in their busy schedule, so a last minute change is not okay. I think this is reasonable expectations for a business. I will never recommend these people.

I really can't speak highly enough about these guys. We had a flood and a fire and within an hour of calling, they were at the house. A large crew were dealing with the soot on the walls from the fire, and another crew were dealing with the flooded basement. Thanks to their quick response, we were able to avoid mould issues and worked directly with our insurance company.

This was the worste experiance for repairs we have ever had. What should have been simple was done so horribly and the responsiveness. Well its been a year and they still have not finished anything, fans still not working in the bathroom from them, the front door area still has no plugs or lights, the main office has no lights and the SEALED OFF THE ETHERNET CABLES that were between the livingroom and the modem so now those cables are stuck there or to be broken WOW!! Caps off plugs, exposed wall sockets, our ceiling fan they pulled out now swings like crazy. And this is just a few of the issues left, we have been informing them of things they need to finish for over a year and paying them, and for months at a time they send nobody and when they do come they barely do any of the things we have explained. At one point a whole wall was missing drywall because they "forgot a wall sorry"

I do not recommend this company at all. Poor professionalism and definitely no high standards. Disappointed from start to finish. This company was hired via insurance claim due to water damage and asbestos clean up. To begin, we were displaced from our home for a 3-4 week timeline. We learned that the 1st week we were gone, they showed up only 1day for approximately 6hrs, but who cares right, the insurance companies are taking care of everything. How maddening!!! Late, in our 4th week at the hotel, we were contacted by the construction manager stating we could return home the following week on Wednesday however, the project manager spoke to the insurance company stating our condo was habitable and we could return home the following day which was Friday. (Do these two talk? ) We scrambled to pack, took time off work and returned home to a complete mess!!!!! There was still no flooring or trim, and there were nails left sticking up from the plywood when the old flooring was ripped up. We had to hammer them down before entering the kitchen or we would of punctured our feet. The old counter was put back in as they were still waiting for the new one, no backsplash of course, some kitchen cabinet doors not hung ( and then installed incorrectly ), kitchen sink not fastened into place and taps leaked. Each week after their quoted timeline we had to allow employees to come back and install or complete work that needed to be done. When the new cabinets were installed, they put spacers in between each cabinet except the one above the range hood. These new cabinets were slightly larger than the previous ones and they didn't make an allowance for the stove. They did not put in a spacer between the cabinet over the range hood, nor did they move the range hood to align with the stove. Now, the stove sticks out almost 6 inches. It looks awful. When installing the backsplash they used adhesive instead of grout for the subway tile. So disappointing. The caulking....again, disappointing. There are more issues to list....these were some of the bigger ones. To top this horrible experience off, we have had to clean our front yard of the garbage left behind such as wood, plastic, coffee cups, and cigarette butts. This company is far from who they say they are. Do your due diligence and research companies like this. If you don't, you will be disappointed. Do not hire this company!

Based on my experience with first on site, Terrible experience! The job has been going on for 6 months and still nowhere near completion. The guys working are decent but they come and go sporadically and only for a few hours at a time. If you want to feel like your situation doesn't matter and don't mind continually inquiring about why the job isn't being completed then this is the company to call. If not, call another restoration company!

We were forgotten about for 8 weeks over and over again even though we called. The guy who was in charge of the final decision randomly had to do a walk through which never happens and then quit the next day. They wanted to hire roofers that harassed us and were high when they pulled into our driveway. And they also accused us of having very expensive drying equipment that we should have had but because they forgot about us, never showed up but said it had. Worst experience of disrespect we have ever had in our life.

If you have the resources or people to help you out clear your damaged property, please don't go with FirstOnSite Restoration. But if you don't care about money, then go ahead. TD Home Insurance should have at least warned or gave me an option. I was still too ignorant of what was going on and I thought I was being taken care of my insurance provider. Turns out 3-4 days of services from first on site costs a whopping $9,000++ (nine thousand) So frustrating... that amount could have replaced the damaged items or add to the repair cost... It's just too much for me...

When the water tank started leaking 3 floors above me in the middle of the night, I woke up to a completely ruined floor and wet walls. The water came down through the walls and under my floor. After calling my insurance company, these guys were here in 20 minutes. They immediately got to work removing the floor and placing 3 industrial blowers to dry the inside the walls. Their work was meticulous and professional. When they came back to pick up the blowers, they inspected the walls to be sure that they were completely dry and answered any questions I had. These guys are the real deal. I highly recommend them.

We too have been waiting five months. Damage in February , visit, signed contract in May through our home insurance which won’t pay for roof ice damage we found out: and still no show... promises, promises. My spouse keeps saying: it will get done, but what bothers me is that we keep getting told next week, next week, week after... no one does, emails to office not returned. I understand they are busy.. maybe they underquoted and regret? I am easy to get along with, they should have said from the start “it will be six months” ... was very impressed by their rep. who showed up right away in Feb. . but still looking at a damaged kitchen ceiling over six months... is this acceptable.. if its the norm for all North Bay contractors I will reword my Review. UPDATE NOV 14. As promised, am updating my review from a one star to a five star. Although we felt it was a very long time to wait for the repairs to the ceiling : the job was started last week and plaster had to dry inbetween; and finished today! The completeted job is amazing, the workman/men was/were on time, showed up when said they would, did not leave even one tiny bit of dirt or dust behind anywhere: thankyou. We definitely would hire again in the future and recomend to others, but we would ask for a time frame and hope that all emails and phone calls etc. would be returned, and no "no shows" - we know all contractors are busy and this happens a lot - however, this very good job has made up for that. First Onsite was lightning fast, efficient and effective and, above all, compassionate. Did I mention good-humoured, and they brought me coffee in the morning. After day 1 of flood damage mitigation, they had me up and running by day 3. Heat, hot water, electrical and a complete rebuild of flooded mechanical systems in my basement crawl space. Thank you all - Nicole, Jason, Alicia, team and sub-contractors. TD Insurance places their trust in First Onsite and ... now, I surely do!

They were extremely quick to respond to our issue. When they arrived they were very professional and compationate to our needs. They covered any flooring that wasn't damaged, and they layed mats across our deck as well to protect it. Over the next few weeks they were here almost every day, including weekends, to check the drying equipment to make sure things were drying well and reposition dryers as needed. We were/are always able to reach them by phone with any questions that may a rise. Without their help we would not have known what steps to take, or which order to take those steps. They were and still are an invaluable help to us in this disruptive time. Our time with them is not complete yet, but clean up, drying and demolition is already completed. They left not one piece of demo on our property or in our garbage, they packed EVERY piece away. I can't thank them enough for what has been done so far❣️❣️❣️
