My review is based on the online ordering and curbside pick up process for this location. I made my order through the Home Depot App on my Android phone. The process on the phone was simple and easy to use. It took me two days until my order was filled and I received an email stating that it was ready for pickup. I arrived around 10:30 am and called the number stated and got a general person answering the phone. They were extremely pleasant and advised me that it might take a little while for them to get my order. I waited for 15 mins and saw what looked like 6 people ahead of me. I gentleman came up with a cart and adhered to COVID protocols and did not approached my vehicle until I had my mask on. He confirmed my order and it was that easy. The wait was not that bad. I found that this location was a bit quicker than their neighbouring Home Depot in St. Catharines. I would definitely use their curbside pickup again.

I was at Home Depot twice today. First thing in the morning to get some clear deck / wood waterproofer / sealer. I was surprised they did not have the brand I was looking for. I also needed a solid deck stain factory mixed. Was very surprised that they did not have any of that either. (It is white and then you custom colour it) So I left empty-handed this morning. However in the evening my chest freezerstopped working and I was very relieved to be able to obtain the last chest freezer available (I've been told by five different appliance stores this afternoon that because of covid-19 people are hoarding freezers so they can buy more food...most stores are back ordered for the next 8 to 12 weeks). I was very happy to get what I wanted and get in and out quickly.

Over a hundred wheelbarrows listed in stock between 5 different models but noone was willing to sell me one. One person says its seasonal which i find hard to imagine for a place that sells construction equipment and the next person tells me its miscounted. 5 different models, miscounted. I have been into the Home Depot 3 times in the last week and a half with my parents and by myself and have had great service by Marilyn and Karen who assisted us with blinds. Both are very knowledgeable in their Department. Maryland took extra time on the first visit to show us many samples in many different books. Their installer Christine promptly went to my parents future condo to take measurements within 48 hours. Looking forward to seeing the final product on my parents windows. I purchased a fridge over 3 weeks ago. We were told that it would be delivered on April 20th. They called us on the 20th to say they had damaged it beyond repair and would deliver a new one the following week. The following week we heard nothing, so we called the service desk and all they could tell us was that someone would be in touch. No one has contacted us in 2 weeks, we keep calling and we just get transfered and put on hold for long periods of time. Still no fridge and still no answer. They were however quick to send us our bill and are expecting a payment, and we still have no fridge. This will be the last time I shop at home depot for anything. And I will be passing on the message to all friends and family.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased an outdoor dining table at the Niagara Falls location a week before Canada Day. The day before the holiday (and the day I was having a Canada Day BBQ), I noticed the base of the table had a defect which prevented the umbrella from being used with the table...I contacted the store which was insanely busy before the holiday, spoke with the opening manager, Chris, he said "let me see what I can sort out for you". Within the hour, he called me back, took my address, and not only located a new table from another store, but had it assembled and delivered to my home. All I can say is "WOW". I moved to Niagara just over 2 years ago from Oakville where I have never experienced this calibre of service...ever! I told everyone about my experience and they were all blown away. Going to share this experience on FB and Twitter. Thanks to all at Home Depot, Niagara Falls! You saved my Canada Day BBQ! Ann C.

Very slow for online or curbside pickup, I ordered 8:00 AM morning,I don't get pickup confirmation until 6:00pm, when I called in store they said thay have 1000's of order, wait for your email, Very ridiculous and unprofessional answer, I ordered same time from canadian tire and Lowe's I already got pickup email confirmation in 3 hours. Waited for 45 minutes in the store to enquire about some sliding closet doors on sale..left.decided these would in fact work after measuring the space, so called the store back after 7 minutes of voice ads the same woman answeres and i gave her the name of the doors and the bar code. I wanted to pay for them using my HD card. She explained she'd call me right back when she finishes with the current customer. 2 1/2 hours later I call again..this time a young man says ..yes o have the information. I have to run and get them and I'll call you right back.. I wait a further 1 1/2 hours again and call back only to find the store is now closed. Really?? Terrible service..

Good selection, friendly and knowledgeable associates make this location of the chain enjoyable to shop in. There are good Covid-19 protocols in place so we feel safe shopping there but you can also order on-line and have items delivered or use their park and pick up option.

We usually find people pretty helpful at this location but this is the second pretty bad experience happened at this location with extremely rude and angry helper Carol who really got upset and didn’t want to help to page anyone after being asked for someone who knows more about our inquiry regarding water pipes n more.. she literally yelled at us to just go to the front desk and ask for help we really got disappointed by her behaviour of taking things personally rather being polite n understanding We are hoping this come to the management attention to minimize or eliminate these type of incidents or situations with others in future.

Home depot card is great, spend over 300 then it's interest free if u pay it off in time, which can be anywhere from 6 to 18 months. The app tells if they got the item in stock and where it is. ????

As a Windsorite used to dealing with the Windsor Home Depot stores, I was SHOCKED AND AMAZED at the Chatham Home Depot Location! O M G!! The people working there were HELPFUL, SMILING and COURTEOUS and showed ACTUAL INTEREST IN OUR QUESTIONS! We were asked "May I help you?" by at the very least 5 different people. Usually when we need someone to help us at the Windsor locations it is a serious hunt to find someone who won't brush you off and give you attitude for daring to ask something. I am not exaggerating when I say my husband and I were seriously almost in shock upon discovering that bad service at Home Depot was not necessarily the norm and we discussed it in awe. We are "power users" lol of Home Depot and have completely renovated 2 homes now spending tens of thousands at the Home Depot stores in Windsor and our visit to Chatham Home Depot blew our minds. We will be making the drive to Chatham in future!

Unsatisfied- Don't order counter top through them if you have any kind of a deadline. Confirmed they would have it done before our tenants moved in, told us it had a 3 week turn around. Took 2.5 weeks before they even placed the order which would've took a week to return, and then that it would be another 3 weeks to install it- only found out as I took it upon myself to call top to floors (thankful that I did) Ended up cancelling order & going with another company. Manager did nothing to help with the situation, except give us a refund.

Got the Philips Hue 4 bulb starter pack. Grab the empty box and bring it to the cash. They scan it, go to grab the actual package and tell me they dont have any left. Check online from smart phone and dayd they have six left. Employee looks up on computer and says they have eight in store. Wait while employees check mysterious locations for 25minutes. During time employee came with incorrect items. Got the item I wanted in the end but it was touch and go for awhile and it took much longer than I wanted.

Had a negative experience once, and there was zero hesitation to make it right! My husband and I are in this Home Depot so much, that most staff recognize us (and some can even recall our current project at the time). This Home Depot is by far our favourite location! The staff is super friendly and have always been able to answer our questions! And they never fail to give us a great deal on whatever we're buying! We don't even have to ask! We spend quite a bit of money here, but the pleasant atmosphere and awesome staff always seem to make it easier. (Take my money). Also, if you're looking to start a garden in the spring, they always have a beautiful selection of well loved plants and flowers. Always our favourite store in the valley.

This place is amazing. Everything you need under one roof. Every item is in specific location and cubbies. If you want pluming it's 30 and cubbies 001-008 and so on. Website tells you where it is located for whatever item you are looking for. Self check out is so fast and help is always there to assist you to find anything they carry. My overall experience was amazing, and I am certain that others might not have great one but don't let that stop you. I shop here more often than Canadian Tire stores. It's easier to find things and help does not approach you unless you find them and ask for help which is the best part. I have been to Canadian Tire and this employee was standing by me even when I wasn't need of assistance. I don't like that, it feels pressured for you to buy something just to leave the store. However when you really need help no one is around. I do have one caveat, and it's their website. It has so many moving components to it takes forever to load a page. I own state of the art 2020 PC and website would take so long to respond. It should be fast and easy but it's just clunky and slow but in hindsight it works and you don't have to go to the store and you can buy direct and pick up in store, but slow people, very slow website. I hope this review helped. I don't get too technical, because I am simple reviewer, I don't shop much, unless it becomes necessary, so if you like this hit that button like you hit SENT every second, if you don't, I am sure others have much better review than myself. Thanks guys.

Oh and if you can't afford to buy the tools or equipment you need they rent them they also rent trucks vans trailers bobcats mini a excavators and all kinds of other stuff

Went to buy some dimensional lumber, wanted treated but the area where that was was very poorly signed, and dark hard to see, could not find 2x8 8 ft, carts and lumber every which way, really not well kept. So I went in to the standard lumber aisle, once again carts with sheet goods and other lumber helter-skelter, a tow motor in mid aisle unattended, very hard to read the signs showing where the 2x8's where, what was left were the dregs, looked like there had been a big sale and everyone left without clean up. Really gone down hill since I was there in the spring for fence boards.

I had posted previously about the garden center and I felt it was decent however I was really disappointed my last couple of times shopping in the regular part and especially the Garden Center . I was looking for bags of River rock that I had purchased last year. I tried to find it on my own with no luck I then saw some recycled rubber pads that could possibly work for what I was doing. There was no price so I walked across the garden Center to where the woman was standing and asked her if she could tell me how much. She wasnt overly rude but she definitely didnt look like she really wanted to walk over to where they were but she did after a bit of a dirty look she scanned them and gave me the price. I grabbed them and then asked about the River Rock explaining I had gotten some the year before. She said she didnt know but if they did they would be over where I came from . Being hopeful I went and looked again bu there wasn't any as I walked past her on my way inside I thanked her but still got the unfriendly look .. I went inside and paid for the mats and a few other items and as I was walking to my car noticed a huge area where there was bags of mulch and soil and RIVER ROCK! I was blown away that this woman wouldn't have known that 1/3 of the parking lot was holding those kind of items. I didnt have the energy to go back and get them or point it out plus I felt she wouldn't care anyways from her demeanor .

Usually lots of friendly staff with orange aprons around to help you locate products. Prices are meh but they will match Kent. Selection is good, lookout for the add on sales! I don't need any more Milwaukee battery powered jackets.. Tool rental department is good. Verdict - great all around hardware store for weekend warriors and some contractors

This Home Depot has the worst customer service. None of the associates knew where anything was and sent us on a wild goose chase time after time. They were looking things up on their cell phones and telling us they were out of stock when our phone was telling us different ( we were right) and the garage door that was on sale they tried to charge us full price for! Then they couldn't count the cash my husband paid with and 2 different employees had to count it 4 times. Seriously bad customer service all around in all areas.

They are more expensive than Home Hardware for the most part, have few staff to help you and they don't keep staff long so they don't know much anyways. Every time I go there it is because I have exhausted my other options. My parents got a washing machine from them that did not work. Took the day to travel to your store with my wife as we are renovating our home. We needed tile, electrical supplies, tub, toilets, trim, etc. Spent almost 4hrs in your store. I must say it was the best experience I have ever had at a hardware store. I've been in many as I was a contractor for years. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were friendly and ready to serve us immediately. Even as we checked all our stuff out the front staff were extremely friendly. Thanks for a wonderful experience we will defiantly be back.

Ahh the home Depot, some great deals if you wait for the sales to come around. Decent prices on almost anything in the store. Check out the back where you can get some larger items like insulation, we have found some cool things in that back pick up area. They have the best selection of organizational stuff in town as well. A great selection of flooring and appliances. My only complaint is that you have to special order large appliances and they HAVE to be delivered to your house. P.I.T.A. The staff are uber friendly, always willing to help you out with decent advice or just show you where to find something. Thanks for all the help over the years!

I understand there is a pandemic and things will be slowed a little bit, but I have been waiting more than 4 hours now. I sat in the parking lot, and an employee came to tel me it would take 4-5 hours because they are getting 100's of 1000's of orders from all over Canada. All over Canada??? All ordering from Niagara Falls?? Out of the 14 employees that were standing in the parking lot, 3 were actually doing something, and the rest were standing around chatting. I expected a wait time, but not 4 hrs for 3 items. I eventually went home, after 4 hrs, I called and asked, and was told not today, maybe tomorrow or the day after. If you are that far behind, then it's time to make some changes!

Rude staff. This store has one of the most unfriendly staff I have seen at a Home Depot location. Unfortunately I've had to deal with this store a few times. Hopefully won't have to deal with this location in the future.

Tried to submit a review on Home Depot's website directly but it seems to keep getting deleted... I wonder why.... So I'm leaving it here, this review pertains to a specific experience (buying a new John Deere lawn tractor) but is reflective of many experiences I've had a this location First off there was zero customer service while ordering. The sales clerk really knew nothing about the mower at all. The mower delivery had to be changed because he also didn't realize the mower had to be gone over by a John Deere tech. Once figured out delivery did go fairly smoothly and for the first few mows I was fairly happy. However I quickly realized the deck was not leveled properly upon delivery. I just spent 3000 on a new mower and my old 2001 MTD mower did a better job. I called the store and spoke to the manager of the lawn and garden department. The manager told me it'd be a 3 week wait because it would need to be serviced by a John Deere dealer. I really didn't want to wait that long since my old mower was now gone. After some back and forth calling, the manager decided they could do it at home depot and it would only be gone for a week at most. That seemed reasonable to me and I said OK. I was instructed to leave my mower outside (since I wasn't going to be home), something I really didn't want to do since it's quite costly. It was agreed I could leave it in my back driveway since I have security cameras there and that made me feel safer. I called Home Depot the day the mower was to be picked up to confirm and to verify the driver knew it was in the back driveway. I was told if it's not out front they may just drive away so I wanted to make sure. I spoke to someone in the Lawn and Garden department and he couldn't find a work order for it to even be picked up at all. At that point I was getting pretty tired of the whole ordeal and told the man on the phone I'd simply buy a deck level and do it myself, however I'd have to find a neighbor whose garage I could use because it needed to be done on a level surface. The man on the phone said they'd reimburse me somehow if I came in but I really feel awkward about going in at this point. The whole process has soured me a bit and instead of enjoying my new mower I'm left annoyed. Like I said, I do like the mower but I really wish I could have bought it from a dealer but they were out of the model I was looking for. Customer service at Home Depot just really isn't great in my experience.

While being on vacation from Ontario I went into Home Depot in Courtenay BC and found some great deals but could not decide at that moment which one to get. So I walked over to Tim Hortons in the same parking lot and decided to have a coffee while making my decision. I made my decision and was going to purchase the item in the morning but at 9:30 p.m. I was told by the security guard the store was closed and you must leave the parking lot. I thought that was very rude to Home Depot's customers and decided to finish my coffee and not to make the purchase the next morning.

It is a standard home depot. Prices tend to be among the lowest in town for building materials, but not always for appliances. Have to do your price checks, but usually a safe bet you will not over-pay here. For some items I find that home hardware is a bit cheaper, Hardiplank for instance, other things the opposite. Also, never had any issues returning excess materials - have actually been encourage to buy more than you need and return the leftovers. Maybe the hope is you wont return the leftovers as I am sure most won't, but I do, and glad I can). Staff is almost always friendly although I did encounter one person in electrical a few years ago. We were looking for a specific part, she said it didn't exist, had been discontinued years prior. She was abrupt and rude and not helpful. After she left, I continued to wander and eventually found the exact part. They had a whole shelf of them. (can't recall the exact part). She clearly either did not know her stuff, didn't care, or was maybe not in her department. I'm not sure. But experiences like that here seem rare. More often than not I have had very knowledgeable sales staff help me - sometimes going out out their way to help. Some people I know speak badly of Home Depot, but for me, the good experiences far out weigh the bad.

Went there 3 times to pick up my order. Even though it was successfully processed, they had said to allow 24 hours for it to show up in the system. Even though I showed them the confirmation number, Parked in the pickup spot, and waited for over 30 minutes, each time. On the 4th day, they also charged me for an add on that was to be free with a bundle, and the website had no way to show them my business account info. When I presented my business info to the pickup person, they didn't know what to do, and so then pretended my order was not processed. The pickup person Anne-Marie FINALLY helped me. She was very knowledgeable, and clearly cares about people, and took care of everything. Thanks, Anne-Marie!

Excellent service 9/10 times. I've been there tons recently and have had a lot of good help. I really appreciate that they will cut lengths for you when you purchase wood or trim. It's helped me tons with driving a hatchback and not a truck! I've only had two less-than-stellar encounters- an older gentleman in the tool rental section who had no interest in helping or even acknowledging me... and one guy in paint who suggested a product that absolutely would not have worked for that I was doing. It just took reading the can to see it was an absolute no. ???? For the two not so great times, I probably had 8 excellent times. Even the younger guy helping with carts and car loading is kind and helpful.

We are from Calgary but also own a place at Tie Lake. Because we travel we often bring our small 9 pound puppy with us. Today with the heat over 30 and smoke effecting our air quality I chose not to leave her in the car with the windows open and I put my small 9 pound puppy in our cart so we could pick up a few hundred dollars of items we need. After shopping for 30 minutes I was asked by a woman who works there 'how did you sneak her in?' I said oh I didn't see a sign no dogs and In fact we choose to shop here because we know we could bring her in. She said they used to let dogs in a few years ago but a customer had their nose bit off by one so now they are not allowed. So I needed to leave her in the car or outside or leave. So my terrifying dog ???? and I left. Although I understand some dogs could be a problem mine clearly wasn't, we traveled from Out of town, we needed supplies Home Depot sells and it's hot outside with poor air quality due to the fires in the area. Could've been a little more understanding. And maybe post something on your store saying no dogs since any other Home Depot I've been to allows them.
