We recently bought our first house in Courtenay which was built in 1915 and needed a complete gut job of living room and kitchen which included: new floors, removing a wall, new drywall, plumbing, electrical and kitchen. To say this experience could have been a nightmare is an understatement. Working with Pat was a fantastic experience as he was able to help come up with solutions to all the problems that we faced and provided us with one point of contact for all the areas that needed work. I could talk in detail in all the ways he helped us make this project work but I'll summarize: he is honest, hard working, respectful of your time, budget and goals. There really is not more you can ask for when working with a contractor. Thank you Pat! Patrice took over my job when my previous installer continually delayed. He under quoted by more than one thousand dollars. Patrice did a kitchen reno, including building an island, installed hardwood stairs and a very tricky screen door. His work was meticulous. He also offered ideas when my ideas did not work esthetically, which I appreciated. We had a couple bumps with items that I ordered that did not fit. Patrice consulted with me and worked with me to come up with solutions. I cannot recommend Patrice highly enough. He is a good and decent family man, and I gave him a key to my house and left him to it. I trust Patrice implicitly and you can't go wrong hiring this wonderful guy to tackle any install job that you require.

KALON HAIR contracted with PS Handyman & Design to redesign a new location into a hair shop. The redesign of the space required the removal of walls, drywall repairs and painting; new plumbing configurations to accommodate our hair washing stations; new lighting and electrical outlets; as well as building a reception desk. Patrice was able to do all of the work for us, and contracted with an electrician to look after the electrical improvements. Patrice not only looked after the changes to the physical space, he also assisted us with the smaller details, like the installation of fixtures and equipment. We are very happy with the overall results, the workmanship and the attention to detail that Patrice provided. We definitely recommend him for any renovation you are planning on doing!

Pat was with us for 6 weeks. He asked when he could start in the morning and we said 7:00 am. He was here promptly at 7:00 and worked steady throughout the day. Often contractors disappear and go to give quotes on other jobs or work on another job and then return later in the day, Pat is not like this he is a conscientious , hardworking professional. He checks with you to ensure that you are satisfied with work being done. He remolded a bathroom, enlarging it, installed a new floor and walk-in shower, floor tiling, heated floor and a larger shower. He also relocated our washer and dryer into another room, altered the electrical and pluming to service these appliances. In second washroom he removed the tub and installed a walk in shower, retiled the shower wall and the around the vanity. We highly recommend Pat and would definitely rehire him again in the future.

I was so impressed with Pat. I didn't actually get to meet him because of COVID-19 but he was not deterred by the situation. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule to get much needed maintenance done at our rental property. I spoke with my tenants and they said he was very punctual, respectful and quick. He was able to complete all of the work in one day!!! The jobs were done to professional specs. He also didn't gouge me in price. The jobs he completed were repair/replacing of a bathroom door jam, gutter cleaning and chiseling down a cement lip on the front walk. The door initially was thought to be able to be repaired, but after it was taken apart he realized that parts needed replacing. He called me first just to double check that this was ok. Not everyone would do that. I will definitely be calling on him again for other jobs what pop up in the future. Thank you Pat.

We hired Patrice on a couple of occasions. The first time was to assemble 4 IKEA bookcases; it would have taken me so much longer if I'd had to do it myself. The second time was prior to hosting a wedding reception at our home. The list of items to be completed was a long one, so we hired Patrice to complete them. He did all of the following jobs: Scraped, primed and painted the inside of our garage Removed old door/window casing and put up new casing around several doors/windows Repaired drywall Removed and installed wood blinds Replaced weather stripping on garage doors Installed a laundry room drying rack He did an excellent job and was very efficient at completing all of these items.
