It's hard to find good help so I rarely write a review. However, ProRise Painting did everything right. From being on time for the initial appointment to following through on all items discussed. Their employee that did the work was exceptional. Excellent workmanship, always on time, always cleaning up every day. He was always courteous and polite. Price was fair. I'm sure people can get cheaper quotes but then they get what they paid for. This company delivers on what it promises.

The process to get a quote from ProRise was very quick (within 24 hours), detailed outline of scope and plan , fairly priced and gave me a high degree of confidence in their ability to deliver ...so we chose ProRise over 3 other service providers. The work was completed within the short time frame that we required, and even with one minor hiccup (one small part of the scope was missed) ProRise rectified this quickly by working late hours to meet our deadline. I would definitely use Pro Rise again for any future work. The were professional, attentive and offer a high quality of workmanship.

Prorise painting helped me sell my condo fast and at above the listed price. The total cost of painting was less than 1% of the condo value. But that investment returned more than 10 times its cost. The quality of work turned my average condo into a wow. The company's goals of quality and customer satisfaction ensured that the end product was stunning and professional. As well, the job was completed quickly so I could get my condo on the market fast. Prorise Painting completed the job based on my needs and budget, not theirs. They helped me sell my condo by providing with the following service: 1) They provided advice on what to do to get the most bang for my buck. Joseph provided concrete advice on how to increase the value of my condo. He suggested I change the colour, paint the walls, ceilings and touch up the baseboards. Initially, I baulked, but eventually, with much thought, and no pressure from him, I followed his advice. I am glad I did because the results were awesome. 2) They provided me with a new colour palette that was neutral and appealing. When I decided to list my 15-year-old condo it needed a facelift. A new paint job would freshen it up. But, for maximum effect, the colour needed to change. Too much green and white. Joseph advised me on what colours were trending, and what would work with my space. He only suggested and did not push me into any decisions. When my realtor saw the space with the new colour he was impressed. 3) They kept their word on scheduling, even when they suffered manpower problems. One of the painters who was scheduled to help paint my unit became ill and could not work. To make up for this, Robert, the remaining painter, worked overtime, that I did not pay for. He also stayed two extra days until the job was done. 4) They provided a professional final appearance, even though they had to do additional work that was not in the quote, and that I did not pay for. After the job was almost completed, according to the work specified by the quote, Robert decided it needed another coat of paint to look professional. Robert contacted Joseph who authorized him to add another coat. I was not charged for this extra work or material. But it made all the difference to the final product.

I contacted Prorise wanting further information about the ad they are offering of as low as $799 for interior paint work. I did want this to be done on our apartment and initially went on the website to inquire. I wasn’t able to get a quick response from the website, it did mention within 24 hours.I called 4 days later and spoke to a representative, specifically told the measurements including closet square footage. The price quoted was not anywhere near what the advertisement listed. Allot of loft ranges in the beginning ultimately turned out to be no deal at all. The very male for promise mentioned many figures that were no different to other paint companies we called. My husband read further the ad that they are the highest rated in Canada. We don't understand how that could be possible. We ended up going with another paint company with clearer representations. So might not be the best fit for people on a pension like us.

We recently purchased a new apartment. Given it was only 3 years old I was on the fence about getting it painted, but in the end figured it would be worth it. Especially as some of the walls were quite damaged already. We agreed to get everything done barring the ceiling. The original paint was explained as being a low quality primer, intended for most people to paint over once they move in. We took the upgrade to one of the harder wearing paints which given the overall cost was negligible, at the same time we opted to get the cupboards interiors done as well as all of the running boards etc. We were also told they'd use a specific bathroom paint too. I loved that they were able to quote based on the email and dimensions they had, Joseph came out and walked the property with us once we had access, suggesting colours etc and finalising the quote. We hadn't moved into the apartment at the time of painting so I never met the team that came out, but the place was left super clean and tidy and the job itself was excellently done. Finally Jenifer came out to do a final inspection with us. There was one area that hadn't been done to the same standard as the others. We knew prior to starting the project this would be the case as a very heavy sliding door hadn't been repaired and had to be painted around. Considering this the job was still well done, and Jenifer mentioned should we get it fixed and it is possible to reach the area properly they will be happy to come out and touch it up. All in all the place looks fantastic and despite the cost being much higher than I originally thought it would be (note, I had multiple quotes and they all fell in a narrow band, I just thought it would cost about half of what it ended up being!!), we really feel like it was money well spent and would recommend and use ProRise again in the future.

After a recent move, our basement was a mess with poorly done wainscotting and painting. We had to rip off 700 lbs of wainscotting, creating significant damage to the drywall. The previous paint colour was also really dark so we were wondering how easy it would be to cover up. The team at Prostar did an exceptional job of patching up the drywall and then painting our walls & ceiling, covering up the previously awful paint job. Our basement looks fresh and new now - Prostar was meticulous in their work, the workers were respectful (and always followed COVID protocols), they always cleaned up after each day, and we were impressed by their excellent communication on the progress of the project. I hired ProRise last minute when my previous contractor cancelled my job the day before he was supposed to start. I had a tight timeline, and it was quite an emergency. Thankfully, Joseph at ProRise worked hard to ensure his company could take on my job, and complete it on my timeline, with extremely short notice. I hired ProRise to repair large portions of drywall, both walls and ceilings, after getting electrical work done. At the same time, I asked ProRise to remove the popcorn texture from our ceilings, and finish them with a smooth finish. Sergio was assigned to our job, and he did a fantastic job. He was a pleasure to work with, explained what was happening so I understood the process, showed up on time, did great work, and cleaned up at the end of every day. He took care not only of our property, but of the common areas of our condo building as well - without being asked. I recently bought a Townhouse that required some serious TLC! Specifically, the popcorn/textured ceiling. I knew that repairing it would be a big job and I was really hoping to get it done while I was out of the country. I had got several estimates, but wasn't quite ready to hand over my keys. I knew right away that he and his team were the ones for the job, he was the first person to see the potential, as opposed to just the scope of work. I was apprehensive at first after having poor experiences with other painting companies in the past, unfair prices, poor workmanship, unprofessionalism... etc. I began doing most of the work on my properties myself. My most recent project was just too large, required painting complex angles and surfaces and I needed it finished in a tight time frame. I went to 4 contractors for quotes and all had given me outrageous prices, perhaps because of the scale and time of the job (going into the holiday season). From the 5 quotes we had, we chose to go with Prorise for our paint job. Prorise was the most expensive among the lot. Kevin Whelan was the deal breaker for my decision to go with Prorise. He was the first contact that came to give me an estimate and his professional and warm behaviour was a welcoming change. He was not pushy or "slimy' but patience and pays attention to what I was asking in the quotes and the repairs that needed done. A detailed written contract was forwarded to me in a relatively short time followed by a visit with Joseph. Before the actual work commences, Kevin also sent an Interior consultant - Irene Fraser to help with the colors. A pleasant lady to work with. Kevin and Jenifer Turcios came to go through the job site as well. Jennifer is the site coordinator who manages and coordinates her painters for the day to day work. It was great to have Jenifer handling the project from start to finish taking away the stress. Dina, Pablo & their coworkers were professional, courteous and friendly and excellent workmanship. Prorise also has a very experienced drywall repair employee - Joel Phillips who did an excellent repair to the ceiling at various places. He was able to closely matched the ceiling. The true test was for Jenifer to return my call to fix some deficiencies and she was able to meet my demands with a smile. The only thing that I would have this project done differently, was to have the crew come in to mud, dry and sand first before the actual painting begins. Overall, Prorise has great employees who value customer satisfactions and great warranty. We will not hesitate to use or recommend them to others.

I recently moved and my wife wanted to get the interior of our home painted (~2100sqft). I suggested to my wife that I do the painting to save money, but reluctantly I agreed with my wife and hired painters as we knew that they could get it done quicker and better than I could have. After doing some research, we decided upon ProRise. Their pricing was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. And as frugal as I can be, I'm willing to pay for quality at a fair price, and this company fit that bill. They worked with us to pick colours and work out a schedule that worked. When the crew came in, that's when their experience really showed. They were highly efficient in prepping and painting and I was amazed at what they had accomplished after the first day. By the end of the second day, they were done. The house looked great! Joe came by to do an inspection and we both identified minor areas that needed to be touched up. I've already recommended this company to friends of mine, and I would continue to do the same.

Joseph and his team did an excellent job painting the inside of our new home. He was very thorough and attentive to our needs and was able to pivot when we requested some small changes mid project. Despite a portion of the job being done over Joseph's vacation, he assigned a very capable project manager Jennifer, who along with her colleagues, was able to complete the job in a timely manner and consult with us on various additional requests. I already plan to use ProRise for future work and have recommended them to others.

Where do I start? Prorise painting is a company with a great reputation and excellent reviews. Their employees are great and the quality of work is good as well. Sergio especially is an amazing addition to any team and has the work ethic and skills that can't be matched. They are responsible when it comes to fixing problems in the job and dealing with warranty related issues. That is however where the good points end. The management team at Prorise lacks communication and responsibility. On our project, everything was split into 3 phases on our request. On the first phase a seemingly $5900 job somehow had an extra 20 hours of labour work added on, even though the original scope was never changed. The estimator failed to properly determine the actual number of hours required and thus the job ran over schedule delaying the other trades. The production manager was difficult to reach and only made 1 phone call during the entire first phase. Once we got through to discuss the overage on hours, I was told "it's a renovation these things happen ". Missed dates and no shows were common and there was never any communication made until after the fact. This would be when an excuse would be made in regards to why the no show occurred. However, these excuses do not hold water. Because of a tight schedule and other complications which would prevent me from using a different company, we were stuck with Prorise to have the job completed. During phase 2, the job start was delayed by 4 days and with only 2 business days of notice, after which the job end was delayed by a further 1 day due to the team leaving half way through the first day to go to a different job site. Furthermore, during phase 3, when I emailed the day prior to the scheduled job start date to confirm a start time, I was told that they would have to call back to confirm. After making call after call that would go to voicemail, I finally got through and was informed that the job start would be delayed by another day. To be fair, I did have to reschedule job starts a couple of times due to delays in other areas however, I would always give at least 1.5 weeks notice. All in all the entire job has been a communication disaster with an irresponsible management team and surprise charges. Although the job has been done very well, the delays and extra charges have caused a great inconvenience to me and all the other trades working on the project. If schedule and budget are not important to you and you are fine with a job which is done very well with great finishes, just on an unpredictable schedule and possible hourly overages, this can be a great fit for you. If schedule and budget are a priority for you, I would suggest outlining these points before jobstart as it is not something that is clear at Prorise.

This is the second time we have contracted with Prorise because we were so impressed with our first experience. This was a much bigger task because we wanted the entire exterior of our house painted. What impressed us this time was that Joesph and Prorise took care off all the work. That might sound simple —— First there was Stephanie of Durston Design who was great at helping us decide on colour. Then there was Shack Shine and Martin who prepared the house with power washing. Then there was Tighe of Terrafirma Industries who repaired and replaced rotten wood. Then, of course, our team of painters, Jason, Sokol and Buljar. Our painters were with us the longest and not only did they do an amazing job in the heat and sun but their attention to detail and suggestions were very much appreciated. They told us every day what they were going to be doing and kept us informed on progress. We had some small jobs that were not in the original scope and we were accommodated quickly and easily. It was very comforting to think that we did not have to worry about coordinating all the activities that were necessary for a successful outcome. At the end Jenifer went over all the work and noted anything that was not up to her high standards. Since our painters were so good there was very little to find. She noted a few small things that we ourselves, didn’t notice until she pointed them out. I highly recommend Prorise and will certainly ask them to help us again.

ProRise painting was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The President, Joe came to my house and quoted the job directly and provided fantastic guidance in terms of selecting colors, what to paint and the type of prep and paint we should consider to ensure that the work lasts as long as possible. Their quotes are excellent, detailed and very professional. Right from the get go, I had comfort that I was dealing with the right group. Pablo coordinated the on-site work and was at our home regularly to make sure things were done correctly and to our liking. Pablo's team was very respectful and ensured that our home was clean and safe for our toddler aged children when they left for the day. Following the job there was some very minor touch up work required and ProRise had their team out very quickly to finish the touch up work. They are committed to doing quality work, and coming back to the house for the minor work was not an issue. Pricing wise they were competitive with other quality painting services. Are there cheaper options out there? It doesn't matter what you do, there's always someone cheaper. But in the end, I'm less interested in a couple bucks here and there and I'm much more interested in quality work that will last and a company that isn't going to stress me out. ProRise ticks all those boxes with ease and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to a friend or anyone for that matter.

ProRise was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Joseph clearly laid out the scope of work, which went above and beyond what I was expecting. He approached the job with a view to protecting the exterior of our home and included items (i.e. flashing) that will preserve the exterior of our home from the elements. While there were challenges the team encountered with our job (e.g. steep roof, narrow sideyards...), these were never made to be our concern. I have dealt with other companies that try to get out of work, or lessen the quality, when challenges are encountered. ProRise met every challenge to ensure they provided a quality service. The final walkthrough of the job was seamless. On any job this big there will be areas that could use more attention or areas that were missed. However, these were few and far between and Joseph was meticulous in noting the areas for improvement and made those improvements without question (again something I find rare in many companies that try to come up with reasons to avoid work). Keeping the customers 100% satisfied is certainly an underlying principle at ProRise. We are extremely happy with the end product and would recommend them without hesitation.

Update: within 2 years the outside paint was coming off in huge chunks. By year #4 the house looks worse then when they painted it. I am now re-painting myself. Using prorise was the biggest waste of $5000 and I regret hiring them. In the end a nice guy, but job that did not hold up. Original Review, Just got the outside of our house painted. It is 72 years old with multiple layers of old oil and led based paint. It was flaking off in big chunks and we knew it would be difficult. Prorise was not the cheapest, more middle of the pack. But our biggest concern was doing the job right. Joseph, gave us that confidence and we went with his company. We are not disappointed, it was stubborn and paint continued to bubble. They tried several different primers and found one that worked. This saved us thousands of dollars as the alternative was to strip to the done. Highly recommend!!

I can't begin to say enough about the job that Prorise did on the painting of the exterior of our house. It was a big job that took a crew of three amazing guys almost three weeks to complete. Their attention to detail was extraordinary. I felt as though they cared more about the job than I did. We immediately felt confident with when the representative from Prorise visited our place for consultation. He was thorough, and gave specific pricing for different paints in various areas (living room, washroom, ceiling). He was very accommodating with all our questions, and even last minute color changes. The crew showed up on time, and we were very satisfied with the prep work (taping, filling-in holes, sanding). Quality of the job was very good. We found couple of deficiencies during the walk-through after the job was done (missed paint patches in corners, some irregular surfaces). I don't think I've ever had a Business respond that quickly. He mentioned time and time again that while they weren't the cheapest, they weren't the most expensive and their quality speaks for itself. I wholeheartedly agree. Joseph was able to pinpoint what I wanted to do and provide great recommendations for paint. He and his team were able to professionally paint my unit within a couple of days (and within my own timeline) and fix any errors. They were able to paint every single wall, every baseboard, fix my ceilings, clean up messes that I made originally with any holes, fixed my washrooms, and beautifully painted the fireplace. The only hiccup I encountered was when one of his paint managers was late for a post walkthrough, however, he was courteous and professional and he owned up to his mistake. I also understand that he has a newborn baby at home so I do not fault him for it. He still came to my unit and we were able to do what we needed to do without any issues. He offered to make amends for this error and I graciously accepted his offer. They did an amazing job - I was able to sell my unit over asking and my unit became a market maker in Port Coquitlam. Overall, if you want to sell your home and you want to have beautiful photos for your unit AND potentially sell over asking, this is the company you go for. I will be coming back to them if I ever need painting done, that's for sure.

My family was moving into a 60’s home that was recently painted and partially renovated by a handyman. The work was passable, but the finishing was poor. Drywalling was not finished cleanly and painting was uneven. I looked for a team who I felt could get the work done to my satisfaction, and ultimately chose to go with Joseph’s team at ProRise. He was quick to respond and arrange for a quote which was very fair compared to others. Joseph was well organized and easy to communicate with – phone calls/emails were replied promptly. Job was completed within the time quoted, and extra cost items were quoted at a reasonable price. Joel was my onsite project manager and performed some stellar drywall repair. The kitchen was patched up and smoothed out to what it should have been. We also had a bedroom wall with some creative plaster scallops which he skim coated and turned back into a nice smooth finish. Did I mention he did all the interior work, along with some exterior painting, all with an aircast boot on his foot?! We had about 1700sq.ft painted by the ProRise team and they did a great job. Place looks much better than before! There were some deficiencies as is the case with most jobs, but they were all taken care of promptly. Joseph came when the job was complete for a walkthrough and gave some tips on maintenance and cleanup. Leftover paint for future touch-ups along with a thank-you card was a nice gesture. I’m glad we selected them, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a competent team.

There were too many complications with this company and they are not a company I can recommend. I originally hired this company because they looked extremely professional, and I didn’t want any complications with the project, but that was not the case. When I expressed frustration that I’d found they had ordered the wrong brand of paint and the paint colour was off, they did say they would repaint with the proper paint, but the project was already taking longer than originally agreed on. When I asked about what they would do for us instead, it was a conversation that spanned four separate phone calls that ended in giving us $100 off our 3k+ project, which was a slap in the face. Since it’s been over a month since the painting and I keep discovering things that weren’t properly finished, I’ve updated this with pictures to show just a few of the areas I’ve discovered. There are many other areas where fixtures weren’t removed and were painted around instead. One particular faceplate had to be removed by cutting around it because the paint around it sealed the plate on.

Joseph did an excellent job of explaining the details of what our project would entail. The work crew (Alvin's) was exceptional. They did a wonderful job, didn't leave a drop of paint anywhere, cleaned up everything, and were delightful to talk to as well. Having had to deal with many of the trades in the past, it was refreshing to have a group of people who worked hard, talked little, didn't swear, and didn't smoke. This company is the top of the heap! Oh yes - the paint colors that the designer helped pick are beautiful and we love the way our house looks!! I highly recommend this company.
