We looked around before hiring these guys and we're so glad we found them! Gary the owner was professional and easy to work with. Zia the painter and his guy that did the taping did a phenomal job! Complete waste of time, have to email 2-3 times for a reply, never answer their phones. Painter calls me 7-8pm night before he is schedule to come in and cancels. They then double the price of the initial quote. Completely unprofessional. Easily one of the worst companies in the lower mainland.

I had certapro painters do various items around our 18 unit apartment building. Garage doors, walls, hallways, and stairways. Everything went incredibly smooth. Very clean, quiet and respectful. I’d trust them to do any paint project.

We have used Harold and CertaPro Painters 5 separate times over the years and I would recommend them without hesitation. Our first experience was after purchasing their services through a charity auction and they did a wonderful job. When we needed more painting, they were the first company we thought of. We have used them for both internal (Nick and his crews) and external jobs (Mike and Mary) and have been consistently happy with the results. A couple of years ago they painted my son's bedroom in a Seattle Seahawks theme and the results were way better than we ever could have hoped for. I believe you will find them very thorough, professional and get good value for the money.

Paint peeled off. no responses, no honoring warranty, sprayed paint all over my driveway and sides yet refused to cleanup. PLUS, delayed the work by almost 3 months! Harold Smith's Certapro team told me on July 28 that they estimated they will come in 3 weeks. In the end, they came to paint on Oct 19 (power wash on Oct 16). I asked if the weather would be too cold for painting. Their reply said it is okay and there are clients lined up even after me. I understand it is COVID time and hard to find painters. But Covid did not just happen in July. I just didn't expect it become quadruple - 2.5 months, i.e. mid/late October which is too cold for painting. Fyi, the paint failed. (Due to cold weather?). There is white one spot peeled off already, just a few days after. Also, the two sides of my house have paint sprayed on the grounds - which the painter said it is no big deal. "Rain water will wash them off easily." I believe it needs power wash. One more, the painter missed many small spots but I can probably touch up myself. (Note: I have yet to climb up to inspect the high places.) Overall, very disappointed, if not disastrous . Late, bad quality, and no cleanup. Emailed 2 times to adminnorthvancouver at certapro dot com on October 25th and Nov 10th. Still no replies. Filed to BBB on Nov 18th. Never reply. Have never experienced such terrible customer service. ONCE you give them all money, they ignore you. They do not honor their warranty.

Forgot to add: Emailed to ask for warranty. Two times, no replies. Filed to BBB Vancouver, still no replies. "This message is in regard to your complaint submitted on 11/18/2020 against CertaPro Painters. Your complaint was assigned ID 14966755. Your Better Business Bureau (BBB) has made several attempts to contact the business regarding your complaint. We regret to inform you that we have not received a response at this time and this case has now been closed as an UNANSWERED complaint in their file. Because we are not a government agency, we cannot force a business to respond." Sucks! I cannot trust BBB anymore. BBB has a rating A+ but how did they get A+?? I checked BBB and Google before I decided to use Certaro. I cannot trust Google Review anymore. As I am reading through the reviews again, I notice that 10 reviews came from 2 years ago and almost all of them had 5 stars? Are these "reviews" done by CertaPro??

They painted my deck & exterior wood. Had some problems with peeling on horizontal surfaces, which they fixed (even though it wasn't covered by warrantee). Painters were professional, all in all a good experience.
