I've been to most mechanics around downtown Burlington and The Auto Station is definitely a class above the rest. The best aspects are that they're incredibly friendly, empathetic and above all great communicators. If I had to pick a negative, it would be their higher price point (~$120/hr). But with that being said, that price comes with vast knowledge, courtesy vehicles and willingness to investigate cost effective alternatives where possible. Steve's running a gem of a business and left me confident that I made the right choice for my vehicle. I'll definitely be recommending them to everyone I know!

Took my wife’s BMW 328D which just came out of warranty to the dealer for a check engine light diagnostic. They not only came back with a false diagnosis but also quoted a hefty price tag. My friend recommended The Auto Station and I decided to try them out. They not only made the right diagnosis but also ordered the part from Germany and fixed the issue saving me thousands of dollars. The service provided was professional, prompt and courteous. The mechanic who worked on it was super knowledgeable about BMWs and took the time to explain the problem we were having and even showed us the damaged part that was causing the issue and all the recommended fixes from BMW. I even got a loaner car for the day when the car was in the shop. Thank you Auto Station.

Stay away from Auto-Station, they are not a place to go if you are someone who doesn't have extensive knowledge of cars. Unless you ask for an inspection of the car upfront they are going to rip you off as much as possible. they will do work on your car and then tell you there's more work that needs to be done, this happened on more than one occasion and not only to myself but my father. I literally spoke with the front desk attendant, addressed my concerns about what they had done and then had there manager send me an email wanting to know if I was satisfied with their service. Their automotive staff is excellent, and they are very skilled. It's not their quality of work, it's their quality of service. They take advantage of people who are not experienced with getting repair work done on their vehicles. They even loan out cars to clients, which is a huge plus and much appreciated. But I just can't recommend them, they will take you for a ride, that's for sure. Any person who doesn't ask for a full inspection up front is basically setting themselves up to get screwed and they'll just milk you like crazy. I mean they will do thousands of dollars worth of repairs to a car, and then say by the way there's more work that needs to get done. They also told me the car was not road worthy and unsafe to drive, after doing the work and coming to see them multiple times. The failed to mention this the previously after having had work done by them several times. I then took the exact same car that I had paid them to do work on to a separate mechanic/auto-shop, who did a full inspection up front and didn't charge me a cent. Also informing me the it's wasn't worth it to put another cent into it, as the cost of the work greatly outweighed the value of the car itself. Again, good quality of work but very poor quality of service.

The Auto Station is the best car repair and maintenance shop around! We have always received the best service from Steve, Rick, Brent and the gang, as well as the best prices. Over the past year and a half they have brought our car back into tip-top shape. They are always great at seeing us right away when we call in order to determine what is wrong, and getting the repairs or maintenance done as soon as possible. They also send us a detailed list on the repairs that are needed, and help us determine what needs to be done first. I got an oil change there because it was the cheapest for full synthetic. They did a full inspection and handed me 2 pages of work that has to be done on my vehicle which was fine. The next day my car started making a sound everytime i used my brakes. Now I am aware that was one of the issues but for my brakes to all of a sudden start making noises after going there I find that very suspicious. I have children so I will be going to my mechanic to get the work done. I will never let their mechanics touch my car ever again. I am completely disgusted that this happened.

Came to the auto station with a Honda Civic that needed broken bolts machined out and a valve lash adjustment. I let the friendly people at The Auto Station know that my budget was a little tight and they helped me find ways to cut down that cost including bringing my own parts in. The service was impeccable and they even texted me with updates or questions reffering to my service. Would reccomend for any service you need. It may be a little pricier than your run-of-the-mill shop but the service pays off for it. They also were willing to give me a rental car over the weekend for free!

This place is incredible. Steve and Rick have us such amazing service. We had just bought a used car that we thought was great but immediately started giving us issues. E went to another mechanic and he did nothing, said nothing was wrong, and charged us for his time. Our car started having trouble again literally driving home from that garage. We were referred here and they were not only able to fix what was wrong, they lent us a vehicle to use while they worked on it. I went there for the first time, for a safety inspection. Some work needed to be done on the rear brakes. Serena was very kind and professional. She, and one other member of the staff, provided thorough explanations. The work was done very quickly, and I picked up my car, fixed, just several hours after dropping it. Beware - this shop overcharges and does not deliver the quality. Labour charge is set at $ 117.00. OEM dealer will charge you $120.00 per hour. You may ask, "But I will save on parts cost" - wrong. They quote MSRP dealer prices. The front staff, dressed in mechanic clothes - are simply sales people who will feed you with compliments and sales talk about your car or extra, unnecessary work to dig gold out your pocket, yet whenever asked simple technical questions - they struggle and have mechanic from the shop answer for them. This can be verified by looking up social networking profiles - at the moment I am writing this, person who served me has no listed technical or automotive-related skills or education, but does have marketing. Well, mechanic should be reputable and trustworthy, right? In my experience, their mechanic invented new physics laws and sticked to reassuring that everything will be fine - which was not the case. . The work I requested turned out to be improperly done. One of the steps was to ensure repaired system integrity. Next day my car broke down - which could have been avoided if they had followed the procedure. To summarize - I will not advise letting this car workshop work on your car. You will be better off having your dealer identify the problems, and have a solid, reputable car workshop do the work. This will not only save your wallet, but also your headache. I have not provided details of work done to maintain anonymity.

I found that the employees were empathetic when I got some not-so-great-news and needed to buy new tires (two nails in my all seasons). They said one would be repairable but the other tire was not based on where the nail was located. They provided various options and weren't pushy but I decided to replace both tires to ensure balance. They lent me a car overnight while the tires were being ordered and I had my car back to me in the morning. Overall, very friendly and great service providers.

I am a returning customer to Auto Station because the customer service has always been excellent and my car feels brand new after every auto service. I brought my car in two weeks ago for an oil change. They gave me what I asked for without upselling me and being a woman in a predominately ‘guys shop’ it’s comforting to know they are trustworthy. They also give me a complimentary car wash after EVERY service, AND a follow up call within two days to make sure everything is running great. Today I brought my car in again. I’ve been having trouble with my alternator belt and they reminded me it was under warrantee so there’s was no charge for the parts and service. ????????

Everything started out great, I had a massive oil leak coming somewhere from the head, I had the car towed there and 600$ later the oil leak was fixed. Then, deciding to chase a check engine light, another 2000$ thrown at the car replacing bits and pieces all over the engine... But did that get rid of the check engine light, no it didn't. I'm not upset over the parts that were installed or the cost of labour and parts, its the fact that for the 4 times the car left, and came back there was a 200$ charge to scan the car... and after all that work and new parts I was told that the Engine Control Module needed replacing, a 3000$ repair. Thats where we parted ways. Fast forward a few months, a new battery got rid of the check engine light. This is more of a warning, yes they did good work, yes they are rather knowledgeable, and yes their prices aren't terrible (aside from the damn scanning fee...) but get a second opinion. A 150$ battery could have saved me from spending 2000$ in needless repairs. Edit: Wow excellent record keeping, I truly applaud you on your incompetence. I have my invoices, and I have my wasted time at your establishment.

I had a vehicle tested to meet Ontario's safety standards today at this location. The service at the front desk was professional, courteous and accommodating. The individual who helped us, Serena, explained the process to us and created good rapport. The Auto Station exceeded my expectations when it came to their courtesy services. They offered us a car to use in the meantime while the vehicle we had with them was being looked at. When we got the failing results of our safety standards test, Serena told us that they did their best to find a way to save on some parts that would be needed. While ultimately the cost of repair was not something we were going to pay due to the age of the vehicle, Serena made me feel she had my best interests in mind. My only feedback about my experience would be regarding the turnaround time of the inspection. Initially we were quoted around 1h30m to 2 hours. However, we did not get results until 3 1/2 hours had elapsed. If not for the courtesy vehicle, this would have been a larger inconvenience. A follow up regarding turnaround time would be the only thing I'd change about my experience with this business. Thank you Serena and the rest of the staff at The Auto Station for the service!

This is a full service shop that includes all the fringe benefits unfortunately attention to detail lacks and given this is not a budget shop I expect better. First off the shop is clean, inviting and offers advanced automotive repair and diagnostics. Additionally their vehicle reports, loaner vehicles and vehicle details are a nice touch. I chose this shop because of the reviews and specifically the services they offered. I had both of my vehicles in a couple times unfortunately my last visits resulted in a service booking oversight requiring me to return, a missed oil drain plug gasket which again caused an additional return and oil on my driveway and on my truck a missing oil cap. I am not adverse to paying for good quality service however attention to detail is paramount.

I tried the auto station for the first time recently after deciding to not go to the kia dealership like usually. The service was done swiftly and for a really good price. They identified a few weak spots of the car very professionally. Since I was aware of most those issues already it confirmed to me that they really check the cars thoroughly and don't try to sell unecessary repairs. They also offered a courtesy car for the waiting time and even washed the car after servicing it. It was a very positive experience and I am coming back for sure. Highly recommended!

Spend almost $800 for air conditioning repair and still not make it work. Worst service with high price. For auto station: I fixed my AC somewhere. It was wiring issue not IPDM or ECU. Edit: Sir! I drop that car in same condition with other mechanic and within 2 days AC repaired without any guess or parts change. They didnt give me any guess work. They make it work in more reasonable prices than you with more detailed explanation. I dont have any personal problem with your team but I am frustrated just because I spend that much money and didn't even get right answer. I know auto services are not cheaper now a days but I drop my car 3 times with trust on your team but even after 3 visits they are saying that might be your ECM didnt work so need go change and then after we keep continue our diagnose if it didnt work. When I spend that much money I need some solid answer not guess work. And at the end I get my AC repair in 1 visit with price of $452. No parts changed at all.

They have loaner cars if needed (and I've always taken them up on), they text and/or email detailed reports, including photos of any findings and estimated costs. I recently moved to Burlington and tried the Auto Station after seeing some positive online review. I was very happy with the service they provided. Some of the things I liked were (i) they provide a loaner car at no charge, which is very convenient and doesn't require me to arrange a ride; (ii) they send an electronic inspection report with recommended work prior to them completing any work - this also makes it easy to keep track with manufacturer's recommended schedule; (iii) staff were friendly and didn't try to push me to get any work done on the car - they present what's recommended and you can choose what to do.

Last minute request to come in for an oil change in the afternoon, the shop was able to accommodate. Have been here a couple of times now. Both Serena and Brent were extremely courteous and helpful. I was offered a courtesy car (no cost!) immediately leaving my keys. I chose to stick around and wait for the oil change instead. Free coffee! Not more than 45 min and I was on my way. A digital auto condition report was provided after the service as well. This report gives a nice summary on the status of the vehicle. I’ve been to many shops including dealerships shops and this place has got it right. Great staff who are passionate about helping you repair/maintain your vehicle at a fair, if not great value. Recommended by Goodyear Canada to have my 4 pickup truck tires replaced under warranty (even though purchased through auto dealership repair facility). Appointment quickly setup at a convenient time, work performed quickly with detailed pictures of recommended repairs and free car wash when all completed. I found The Auto Station based strictly on Google Reviews, as I've never really had a go-to mechanic in the nine years I have lived in Ontario. I brought my truck in for a tune-up and explained a few issues I was having. I knew it needed some love and was prepared for the usual lackluster service followed by a massive, inexplicable bill. Right off the bat I was impressed with what seemed to me like genuine care. I was given a loaner car right away and it was already warming up in their driveway on a cold, snowy day. I was sent a link a few hours later to a detailed service report outline of what exactly was checked on my truck, which included potential areas of concern and one major issue that required immediate attention. The attention to detail was very refreshing and the report included photos of what needed to be fixed. I received a detailed quote unlike any I have received from previous auto mechanics in Ontario This definitely put my mind at ease knowing exactly where my hard-earned money was going. My dad built custom hot rods for a living, so I am no stranger to this business. Taking my truck into The Auto Station was like taking it to a family friend - they were honest, efficient and reasonably priced. I can say with certainty that I have never felt safer in my vehicle since taking it to them and I will refer any and everyone I know to this place - they are the best in the business.

These guys do deserve some stars, all super friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. They absolutely do go out of their way to get things done as efficient and quickly as possible, give you a loaner car free of charge. Why 3/5? The price and fishy labour. This is the kind of place that will take every step to diagnose a problem, even if the problem is blatantly obvious and informed prior to work. There is merit behind that, but once a battery starts hitting $500 on a bill, things are a bit much. You can hold whatever judgement you want, but I will not be returning. I went there three times, each time I paid roughly two to three times what I expected (aside from warranty fix). Don't even bother with bodywork, they quoted my co-workers parking fumble at $1700 with the bodyshop they use. My dealer friend had the body and paint damage completely fixed for $350. Hmmm. Fine business, but some things need to change.

Professional, transparent, informative, and friendly! I took my newly purchased used 2011 Land Rover LR4 HSE in to The Auto Station for a safety. The vehicle failed the the safety quite spectacularly! However, the team at The Auto Station, in particular John who was the technician assigned to my vehicle, was great at helping me understand the issues and guiding me through the process. I was particularly impressed by how John took me under the hoisted vehicle and showed me all that was wrong with it. His report was conveniently messaged to me as soon as it was available via text message, with a link to the report online. That was very helpful, as it gave me a chance to commit to memory the concerns and problems. The report contained photos of the vehicle and named all the issues in detail as well as costs to repair them. At no point did I feel pressure to make any decisions. Although John was clear on what he recommended for the vehicle, I was given the information as straight fact and was encouraged to make my own informed decision. John would even suggest alternative solutions to certain problems that did not entail any involvement by the garage or himself. I appreciated how he treated me with respect and that there was no hint of condescension, despite my ignorance. I was happy to receive a free substitute vehicle when the services were being conducted. I was also very pleased to be able to get back under the hoist to witness the progress of the the repairs. I was really impressed by the garages transparency throughout the whole process. I also enjoyed that they offered only OEM parts and were able to grant me 3 year warranty on all the parts replaced. The front end staff was friendly and very accommodating as well! I worked primarily with Grace. She answered my calls and texts promptly and was very kind. Steve the owner too took a personal interest and concern in the process and was very helpful and encouraging. Buying a used motor vehicle has been a learning experience for me and I am extremely glad that my wife and I trusted the reviews we read here on Google for The Auto Station and decided to work with them. It is so refreshing to see an auto garage committed to transparency and to facilitating the learning process that is involved for most of us when dealing with vehicle concerns. I always appreciate the depth of knowledge they have about my car which is older and I've had trouble finding a shop that knows how to deal with issues and what to look for. The work done has been accurate and proper and I can trust the that the right thing was done and therefore alleviates the stress of wondering if the car will break down again or that the wrong thing was fixed. Their communication is excellent and you know what's happening every step of the way. Text, e-mail and phone call were all used to communicate with me about the issues which leaves no questions as to what was discussed or what work is to be done. I had originally chosen the Auto Station on May 11th in order to get the summer tires swapped on my car. It was close to where I live, they were fast, efficient, and I appreciated the condition report that they sent for my vehicle. I became suspicious when I took in my mother's cars (2016 Chevrolet Cruze) for an oil change on the same day, and had received a work order invoice for $1,655.90 worth of repairs. I understand that they performed an overall inspection of the vehicle, but it seemed a little ridiculous when all I asked for was an oil change. I later returned to the Auto Station on June 30th as I heard a squeaking/grinding sound from the front left end of my car. I was expecting to hear back from them the same day or the next day, but I had just received phone calls that they were not able to service the car because "one of the mechanics broke their hand." Although I do understand that their may be complications, I did not receive a condition report until July 7th, a full week after dropping off my car. I then received a work order invoice for $964.29 to repair the issue. This seemed a little ridiculous to me as the sound from my car was minor. I looked at the work order and the part that I needed replaced was the left lower rearward front control arm. Auto Station quoted me this part alone at $561.85. I called PartSource after receiving the invoice and read the name of the part directly from the work order and they told me that the part was $80. I then went to pick up my car from the Auto Station and I still had to pay $62.50 for a "diagnose" that took a week. I took my car to Smart Choice Auto Repair (on the same street, 30 seconds away) and the issue was fixed for $170 on the same day. Don't be fooled by an initial satisfactory visit. It was very unfortunate that the Auto Station tried to rip me off as much as they did. Be sure to get a second opinion on a repair so you don't pay 6x the amount like they tried to get me to

Took my 2011 mustang in yesterday for a repair job on my headlights. Everything was smooth untill I picked up my car. I drove into a parking lot and walking away noticed my running left tail light was now not working. Signals, braking all work so the bulbs were not at fault. I decided to check the fuse box to see if I could find any blown fuses to my surprise I found my heated seats fuse with a copper wire wrapped around my fuse and inserted back in. I immediately realized when it happened because I had just change fuses one month prior and had been in the fuse box. As a result my car could have easily caught fire and has damaged my control box. They said they would charge me 240 some odd dollars to just find the problem that they unfaithfully caused. I left stating ethier no charge or small claims.

I was looking for a shop to get my car safetied which I needed done ASAP because it was for my job. I found The Auto Station on google and they were close by. I gave them a call and not only did they complete the job that same day they also provided with a vehicle to take home with me free of charge. The entire safety was completed for less than $150 including tax, I received a vehicle to use while they were completing the job and they were able to complete my job in a couple hours. Absolutely 5 out of 5 stars and incredibly kind professional staff. * Dropped my Kia Sportage off on Friday December 10th for another repair. I brought it in at 4:30pm. As most automobile shops I believe they are closed on the weekends, at least Sunday’s, by Monday Morning I had an email with a complete breakdown of the repairs and the costs. In addition, The Auto Station provided me with a vehicle for the weekend, which was a life saver. I am of course getting my car fixed by them, no need for another quote because I know The Auto Station is the best out there and isn’t throwing me for a loop. The repairs are going to take some times due to back ordered parts because of COVID & that my car is only a year old, some parts aren’t even made yet. Anyhow, The Auto Station provided me with a vehicle to drive, free of charge while I wait for the repair. I couldn’t be more grateful, impressed and satisfied with their customer service as well as their craftsmanship. Best auto mechanic shop in The GTA!

I went here for an oil change for the first time. No issues and the shuttle service is convenient. I did receive a lengthy report at the end outlining a variety of repairs I needed to consider totally $4000 plus a suggestion to buy new tires as my two year old tires were "choppy". I understand they are being thorough, but I got the impression they were trying to up-sell. Then I noticed that the oil change sticker in my window was set to only 5000km later - for synthetic! The recommendation is at least 8000-10000km.

Horrible business and scammers avoid! Took in my Audi S4 a few months ago because I had a belt and pulley noise and asked if they could take a look. Charged me $100 to tell me I was wrong and that the noise was my supercharger which had failed and that it would be about $4,000 to repair. This is extremely odd. I knew this was off as they so rarely fail and took it to another shop where all they did was replace my belt and pulley just like I said. Noise was gone and the supercharger very clearly never needed to be replaced. Waste of a $100 bucks and I wouldn’t trust any diagnostic they give you. EDIT: Im sorry you're disappointed my review but I was extremely disappointed in the false diagnostic I was charged for and almost scammed out of. I was NOT told it was the pulley like I said when I came in, I was told they were in working order and the supercharger bearing was busted and the only way to fix that was replace the ENTIRE unit which I was told would be about $4,000. Also why is it a big deal I failed to mention you gave me a loaner and came during a pandemic? I called in advance, asked when you guys had time to take a look and came when I was told, if you guys find that to be a factor in a false diagnostic that is quite alarming.

Last August 2017 I had AC problems. Took my vehicle into The Auto Station. The repairs were major. I needed the AC so I had it repaired. Fast forward to May 2018 turned AC on all that came out was hot air. I gave a call Rick and Steve an explained the problem. They had me drop it off so they could take a look. Turns out the parts purchased in August were faulty. I am very happy to say the guys at The Auto Station took care of the problem. No additional cost to me which is Awesome. Very much appreciated.

Trustworthy Review

I am writing this review as a courtesy to honest individuals in the Burlington area. I am a well educated professional in the area . My family is well respected in our neighbourhood and I experienced what appear to be fraudulent behaviours by the Auto Station. Please read my review carefully before leaving your vehicle with this shop. I am already expecting the owner to reply to this review with more dishonesty, but please understand that if this review is still posted, then the dishonesty from this shop has continued and the issue has not been resolved. I will remove this review once the owner makes this right. I have chosen not to put my name in this review for privacy reasons. - in short, what appear to be fraudulent activity have taken place without explanation: 1. my credit card was charged a different amount than I was told 2. My vehicle was damaged by the shop and the shop refuses to respond to these damages 3. After reaching out regarding damages, the shop emailed me stating that I now have an outstanding balance at the shop (which is contrary to all emails and invoices from the shop) Before going to the shop, gasoline was put into the gas tank of my Diesel engine truck. The truck was not started. Upon calling the Auto Station, a price was agreed to for the work that needed to be done to remove the gasoline from the gas tank. I specifically asked the shop to not start the vehicle because I did not want gasoline making its way to the Diesel engine. I even left a note on the steering wheel to remind the technician. My vehicle was towed to the shop -The technician decided to start my vehicle so he could move it. He then broke the fuel filter. -Grace, very honestly disclosed this to me -Upon expressing my concern, Serena took over and denied that any of this took place and wanted to charge me for the fuel filter on top of this. - Serena who works at front desk, claimed that she is a licensed mechanic technician -Serena stated that my vehicle would not be released unless I paid for work and damages that I did not authorize for them to do I then received emails from Serena stating that they would not charge me for the fuel filter When I picked up the vehicle my credit card was charged a different amount than I was promised -Upon putting diesel into my vehicle, I immediately noticed diesel leaking. I took pictures and videos and emailed them to the shop -The shop ignored my several emails for a week until I explained that further action would be taken -Steve emailed stating that the work is complete and that I have an outstanding balance. -I emailed Steve regarding the dishonesty taking place and now await his response and resolution. -Currently, am concerned my new 2019 vehicle was damaged out of spite. -Upon speaking with friends in the area, I am not the first to experience these kinds of activities with this shop. -Again, the owner will most likely respond to this review with dishonesty, I have several contradicting emails from them already doing this (just as they most likely did with Anthony D’s review below) -upon reading other 1 star reviews, I am learning that others have similar problems and the owner responds by claiming he has spent so much time addressing the concerns and makes accusations of ulterior motives - my concerns have not been addressed. Emails from the shop contradict each other. - I ask that the owner respect my right to privacy and not post my name anywhere - all conversations have been documented with full logs and in presence of witnesses. The owner is cautioned against making any false accusations -I hope this review helps others to not experience what I am going through If this review is up, the issue remains not resolved. - Steve, once I left with the truck and filled the truck with gas I immediately reported the leak by email with pictures. I diligently politely followed up by email. No threats were uttered and caution your use of false allegations and slander. Please provide recordings and witnesses of your allegations-I will do the same.Your response was as expected.

I had a similar experience to the review below. Brought my vehicle in for a tire rotation... Steve took the vehicle and completed $3000 in repairs ...said he would not release it unless I pay because it was not fit for the road. He held my vehicle for two weeks and then charged an additional $1000 for storage. He waved $500 of the storage fee because I paid cash but didn’t provide a receipt. My vehicle is a 2017 and was in great condition... this guy takes your vehicle and makes up problems so he can bring in big money... then abuses his power to not release it… he overcharged my credit card more than they said they were at front desk

We ALWAYS get the best service at The Auto Station. Steve and Brent are great. We've needed a lot of work on one of our cars but they have saved us lots of $$ in unneccesary work while helping us maintain a safe and well running vehicle. We had the car to the dealer before bringing it to them and the dealer wanted thousands to go digging for the problem(which they incorrectly diagnosed). The Auto Station took it for a week until they were sure they had it figured out and all of the work(and more)was done within the initial estimate. Car back in after a couple of years for lots of wear and tear work that added up to quite a lot as well. They helped guided us through all of the necessary work to keep the car running smoothly for the next few years and at a cost we could work with that we KNOW would have been much more anywhere else. They have also helped family and friends with their vehicles. We will keep coming back and would recommend them to anyone!

Quick, informative (explain what needs doing-cost) plus they always have a loner if you only have one car at home. I needed to get a safety certificate to sell my car that day and fortunately they were available immediately. When I dropped it off they told me it may take a few hours and gave me a rental car. 1.5 hours later, it was already done! Thankfully my car had no issues and they didn’t try to get me to replace anything I didn’t need to. Great, warm, friendly customer service. I even had a moment where I thought I had forgotten something inside the rental car and bugged them again and again (I found the item at home). They weren’t annoyed at all but very understanding.

Steve and his staff are great. New (old) car towed into Steve's 'cus the thing would not start with all the electronic checks on it. Turned out that the transmission was not sensing that it was in park (thank you Toyota for building such an nanny car :-( ). Steve diagnosed the problem and, since the car's transmission was probably past due, encouraged me to get a flush and refill. Fixed the problem and looking forward to many happy miles. If they are not...well I know where to go to get it fixed fast!!!

Steve quoted me for a simple oil change but instead completed a bunch of work that I didn’t authorize... he then would not release my vehicle if I did not pay $1250! They held my vehicle for 3 weeks until I could find the money to pay... when I got the vehicle back.. it had a key scratch across the door and was leaking brake fluid. This guy is a huge scammer. Recently I attended the Auto Station to have the wheel bearings looked at on my 1976 Triumph Spitfire. The team tried to see if they could repack the bearings, alas no. Everything was explained in a manner I could understand. I was impressed with the knowledge shown as well as the professionalism. One day after picking up my repaired car, it died, nothing to do with the previous repair. Just one of those things, I needed a new coil and distributor. Again everything was explained in a manner that left me feeling ok with authorizing the repairs. It’s been a long time since I have felt this comfortable with a repair shop. I truly felt that I was listened to and that I wasn’t being taken for a ride. I will not only be returning with this car but also my other vehicles.

I had been, without thinking, taking my car routinely to the dealer for service since it was still under warranty. The dealer told me they could deal with my car in a few days. Just visited the auto station again November 2/2021. As always very happy with the service. Visited the auto station Sept 22 for a check engine light on my Volkswagen. The garage diagnosed the problem quickly and made the necessary repairs. When I returned to pick up my car the friendly staff brought out the actual failed part to show me. They also sent me an in depth report that included pictures. They checked several other items free of charge. I was fully expecting them to suggest I change the cabin filter since that’s what most garages typically do. The auto station was honest and said that it was ok. I knew it would be ok since I just had it changed a few weeks prior. In addition, they washed the car and provided a courtesy car. I will definitely be back. These guys are honest and great to deal with. I don’t impress easily but I can honestly say I was impressed.

I came to the Auto Station last Tuesday because my driver side car seat was stuck in a reclined position, which was preventing my child's car seat from fitting into the back seat. As soon as I explained the situation, the staff member at the front immediately came out to inspect the car seat, and was able to quickly fix the issue for me. He was very professional and helpful. He also gave me tips on how to prevent the seat from being stuck again, and was very thorough when explaining everything. In addition to this, he didn't charge me even when I tried to pay him for his help. I visited their shop because of the reviews that I read online, and I am very happy that i did. I brought my car here for service July 21/21. I like this company because I know that they will look the car over to find any problems as well as doing the work I requested. My car is a 2009 with 260 000 km. I want someone to find any areas of concern. They provide me with a list of jobs that need immediate repair as well as other ares of potential problems. The work that was done on July 21 was completed on time as promised. I went in for an oil change but had the cruise control repaired. Cost was the price they quoted.

I had my car inspected for a particular job at this place under the impression that I would definitely get a lower estimate than the dealership ( I already had an estimate from the dealership for which I didn't have to pay a dime). So imagine my utter shock when their estimate turned out to be more than 300 dollars above the dealership's. They gouge you on the parts. Since then , I have fixed my car at the dealership which was done quickly and with utter courtesy. I even get a 15% discount. It's not my intent to glorify dealerships. We all know they overcharge and exist to make money. However the days when the smaller local auto shops fixed your car way cheaper, seem to be over. Charging way above the going price on after market parts to increase the profit margin while charging only a tad less for the labour. I was charged 50 dollars for their inspection but I don't regret paying it since it helped me make an informed decision.

I stopped in here when the AC went out on my escalade...took me in right away and diagnosed that the condenser was leaking badly and rear AC lines leaking a little. Had the condenser replaced and system recharged but the parts for the rear couldn't be found . 5 days later blowing warm again...took it back and they went on a north american hunt for the parts needed and found them...hallelujah . Had them shipped in and installed and now I am a very happy cold man!! Service - excellent ...friendliness- excellent...even washed it when they were done! Provided a loaner car as well. If there was another 5 stars I would definitely give it to them.I was on the 401 from Toronto to London and felt the car shake as I pushed the break, and the car would pull to the right. Knowing it had to be an alignment issue, starting calling car shops along the way. I didn't want to risk any damage to my car, especially driving to and from London the same day.most shops in a Saturday are closed, or were all booked up. I called the Auto Station and they fit me in with no problems. Rick talk to me on the phone, helped me with getting to the shop. Once I was there the techs were on lunch, he lent the kids and I vehicle to go grab a bite while they finished up with the car. most appreciated as the kid were hungry, not knowing Burlington Rick gave us locations to eat..Within 40 min car was ready to pick up, it was washed and drove 1000x better after alignment. Rick and The Auto Station are amazing if I lived in Burlington I would trist these guys with my Benz anyday. Even got a nice text from owner asking if everything was ok a few days later... After stopping at the dealership and realizing that there was no way they were going to deal with my issue without an appointment (busy and hectic there) i popped over to Auto Station. the young ladies at counters were very helpful and by the end of the day I was set up with a 4 cross climate tires. 1. Everyone was friendly and nice and timely. Able to see me without an appointment 2. None of the staff was wearing a mask. The by-law #62-2020 in Burlington states face masks are to be worn in indoor public places. Here at the Auto Station, customers are to wear masks but employees to not. There is a 1m x 2 m plexiglass barrier that is not sealed around the edges and that does not protect against airborne droplets. Please wear your face masks as we are all trying to keep safe as a collective society. 3. The reception called me and stated that the noise in my car was the rear strut assembly which was to cost $1100; when I declined she stated later she was mistaken and it was actually the suspension stabilizer that needed to be fixed (480.06 dollars - see photos). A simple mistake of misinformation and miscommunication between the staff would have cost me $1100. I suggest your mechanics are to call customer as they would convey accurate information without having a broken telephone effect. Its also more effect when the customer wants to ask technical questions and can’t get them answered. I decided to take my car to Canadian tire instead. There, the initial inspection was cheaper ($50 taxes in at Canadian Tire vs $62.50 taxes not included at Auto Station) and the parts and services were cheaper. Please answer me this question: why are the suspension stabilizer links at The Auto Station charged at $183.78 per unit while at Canadian Tire they were $49.99? Seems odd to me, don’t you think?

I was in Burlington on business on a Friday afternoon and my car started to misfire. I took it in to the auto station and was desperate for them to repair enough to get me back to Toronto. They charge about $300 to just see what was wrong then came with an estimate that was approx double what my mechanic claims it should be, and over $2,000. For example, the ignition coils cost $105 at the Acura dealer and they wanted $250 each. Also, this car did not have a coolant leak when I brought it in but it did have one when I left. They claim it is a coincidence but my mechanic, upon examination, is skeptical. As a result of this leak I was barely able to get it back to Toronto. I would not recommend this place.

Went by The Auto Station this morning to get my GMC Acadia inspected for a safety to transfer the title to my daughter. I was quoted a reasonable price and said I would come back this week. In the morning, Serena talked to me patiently and got me a last minute appointment because my van was having starting problems. Then my van got started in my own drive way and I called and cancelled the Appointment. Abby and Serena were both very professional and patient with me though I was not decisive. Abby recommended me to come in and check it out anyway in case it happens again out of concern for my family. I thought that it was fine because CAA checked it for me and it seems to be working fine in the morning. Finally, my van wouldn't start again in the afternoon. I had my van towed to Auto Station right before they closed. They got me a loaner car so that I can continue to do my daily errands though I came in right before they closed. Abby called, texted and emailed me the next morning but I was busy and only got back to her in the afternoon. They did a diagnose test and cleaned the parts that connects to my battery for my van.And my car was able to start the engine. She explained the condition of my van to me patiently and even found and sent me numerous of video to explain the importance of each item, prioritized the work order for me very patiently throughout the day. At the end of the day, due to my current financial situation, I couldn't afford to do all the work at this point yet. Abby was very understanding. She explained what can be waited and how long it can be waited. Abby and Serena were both very patient, professional, kind and helpful. I am sure Grace is very nice too but I was already well taken care by Abby. They made my stressful days much brighter. Thank you very much!

Prices are ridiculously high. My wife's car had a water pump seize and the small belt that drives it broke. Since she works very close and this place for some reason has good reviews, she brought it in. The estimate for the repair was just over $1600 including taxes. The job involved replacing the water pump, thermostat and drive belt, as well as a coolant flush. All of these items are in the same location. The pump and thermostat come out at pretty much the same time, and the belt would have to be put back on as a regular part of replacing the pump. Not only did this shop price out each of the repairs as if they were happening separately (i.e. take out the pump, replace the pump. Take it all apart again and replace the belt....) but the prices quoted for the parts are obscene. $346 for a water pump. The price at Part Source for one with a lifetime warranty is $125. The drive belt was quoted at $69.95 and listed as "Serpentine Drive Main Belt" along with $62.50 in labour. There was nothing wrong with the serpentine belt, it was the drive belt for the water pump that broke. The price for that part, again at Part Source, was $9 and the belt would have to go back on when the water pump is replaced, so adding more labour for that is unnecessary. On top of this, there was a $19.95 charge listed in the breakdown of each section of labour for "Abrasives, solvents, wipers, degreasers, gasket material, etc.", so this charge appeared twice on the same quote (once for the pump, once for the thermostat). We had the car towed to a long standing well established garage near our home. They charged $145 for a water pump (again, lifetime warranty) and $15 for the belt. The total bill, including labour and taxes, was $502, which included EVERYTHING quoted by Auto Center (flush, gaskets, etc). While the tech we spoke to was polite and the shop was clean, the prices are just so far out of whack as to rate this a 1 star. Do your homework before accepting service from here. There is NOT 5 hours of labour involved in this job, it's closer to 2 (which is what we were charged at the garage we ended up at), and charging almost 3X the market rate for a part is unacceptable.

We have had many good Mechanics over the years but Steve and his Team are number 1 on the list. We have had several cars there; a GM, Honda Accord, and the latest two Ford SUVs over the years which are purring like kittens! In fact, one of them I have owned since day one and is about to roll 360,000 thousand klms with no signs of stopping, due to the care and expertise of Steve and his Staff. As someone whom has been in Customer Support for over 20 years in a billion dollar industry, as well as by trade an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you can expect I have an extremely high standard for Maintenance, Part Quality, and how I am to be treated. The Auto Station fulfills my expectations, and also manages to keep surprising me once in a while! Their Aftermarket Parts & Warranties, as well as your choice for Original Manufacture Parts are top of the line. Their Techs are highly skilled & trained, and their knowledge of Shocks, Struts, Control Arms, Alignment, Tires, Rims, Breaks, & Rotors (the most import parts that keep you safe on the ground) are absolute top-notch, especially this time of year. Their Engine, Fuel, Ignition & Hydraulic Service Programs are great with high-end cleaning and treatment products, that some even have a mini-warranty with the treatment. They will let you know what needs to be done, what should be done, what could be done, and what will need to be done in the coming future. In fact, they have amazing digital reports sent to you via smartphone texts and/or emails, describing the categories of work recommended, vehicle inspection report, findings, as well as digital pictures of those parts…. This is called Fully Open Disclosure. They won’t start any work after their inspection unless you authorize it. I can think of several times in my life this was not the case with other Dealers or Mechanics I “used to” go to in the past that cost me unnecessary expenditures. Steve will always address any questions or concerns you may have about any topic related to your visit. When you become a regular loyal customer, Steve recognizes that, and the “Perks” just keep coming, such as; free loaner cars while yours is in the shop, $ discounts on specific things, car washers, car interior detailing, help with checking out any new used car you are looking at, help with finding great Auto Partners for any Body Work or Stereo/ Reverse Camera specialists, & so much more. I can assure you when you come to The Auto Station you will be treated like family, and fairly, and not just a number going through a ‘drive-through’ service center. We have even spoke that if we moved within 45 min drive, we will still have our vehicles maintained by Steve’s Team. If you don’t believe me, go see them, grab a coffee ( and its good coffee btw), and see how you and all the other customers are treated. You won’t regret it.

Great to have a good, local, customer oriented, repair shop that provides a loaner vehicle while mine (F-150) is being repaired. I've used them several times now, first to repair the electrical issues caused by the bushy-tailed tree rats (squirrels) that chewed up most of my underhood wiring early in the spring and then preventative maintenance as suggested in the owner's manual. Prices are reasonable compared to the stealership and they only do the required/requested work. They will also stay open past regular closing to accommodate those working in Toronto who may be a LITTLE bit late. (Not fair to push it with good folks!)

12/10 experience - couldn’t ask for anything more! I showed up this morning with no appointment as I unexpectidly punctured a tire and they were extremely accommodating. Within only a few minutes they were able to troubleshoot the issue and gather all necessary information so I was able to make it to work on time. They were able to order me in a tire, have it delivered and also installed in only a few hours! The icing on the cake was that they gave me a car to use for the day so that my normal routine wouldn’t be disrupted, and washed my car before returning it to me! I primarily dealt with Rick who was awesome and extremely helpful, and the rest of the staff were also extremely kind. Being at the shop honestly felt so homey and I cannot wait to return! The guys know what they’re doing. Pricier than other mechanics I’ve been to but their car checks are done very professionally. They offer a car service too which is awesome. I just did not like the atmosphere in the office. Obviously there is a strong level of comraderie and friendship with fellow employees as well as customers. But I’ve never been there so I felt a little out of place. The man I was speaking to about my car was not very friendly. And I had more questions but he didn’t seem open to talking to me about them. He seemed frustrated and I believe that it was because someone just walked into the office and it got very loud with almost all the front desk staff chatting. It was difficult for me to speak to the staff member that was helping me, we had to raise our voices considerably. I am impressed with the car report I got, with the office, the driving service and with the two women who were friendly to me. Customer experience was poor for me.

Excellent customer service, excellent work. I took my BMW E46 in after it sprung a coolant leak that I couldn’t find. After calling around to shops all day, I called the auto station. I talked on the phone with Brent for a very short period of time before deciding this was the shop I can trust. They accommodated me almost immediately, had the car in the shop five to ten minutes after I arrived. Once they found the leak they showed it to me first hand. I told them to go ahead with the work and they got it done fast. They offered me a loaner while my car was in the shop. Even offered me some cake when I went to pick it up. A couple days later I get a text from the owner just checking up on the car making sure it is all good. They have warranty on all their work, and are super friendly and trust worthy. Would defiantly recommend this shop to anybody.

What can I say, Steve and the staff at the Auto Station are amazing and so very accommodating. We have two vehicles so rather than write two reviews I’ll cover both here. We have a late model Toyota that was due for and oil change and tire change over. We received a full report on the status of the vehicle along with photos of areas of concern and that is a great touch along with the use of a loaner vehicle. We also have a 2020 Kia which we had scheduled for a tire change over, as the car was due for its 6,000 km service I asked to have that to be done as well and it was. An amazing experience and we will be taking our cars there for now on rather than a dealership. Thank you for the great service and experience, I will be referring my friends.

I work in Burlington and these guys are my go to car shop whenever I need a reliable and safe service . I took two cars to the auto station on two separate occasions. One brand new BMW that had very weird sounds coming from one tire and I didn’t feel safe to drive it home from work. They got the tire thoroughly inspected . Turned out it is just dirt and grim so they cleaned the tire inside out (which solved the problem) and didn’t charge me for it . Second car had a flat tire and this one had special tires on that after an internet research was only found in a warehouse in Hamilton so they gave me a loaner car . Got the tire from Hamilton and installed it and I got my car back all in a matter of few hours. In the two occasions the service was above and beyond, the communication was always stellar my cars got courtesy cleaning and I was above satisfied. I always recommend them to my coworkers and I hope this review will recommend them to even more people . A small business that excels above the big ones is always a story I am happy to share . Our car had an oil spill due to Canadian Tire not putting the cap back on properly after an oil change. Oil was spilling on the engine and was a fire hazard. The auto station took us in the same day and fixed the issue. They were understanding of our problem and worked with us to sort out the difficulties.
