It’s a decent store, fine really. If the chip on your card isn’t working and you try to explain they just need to enter the number manually don’t expect a lot from the staff. Thankfully there are other craft stores in town who care about goodwill and customer service.

Store used to be good, although I’ve had numerous bad experiences. This time, no sales associates were around on the floor to help me out. I saw two woman in the back room who eyed me, talking together, but would not come out when I waved to them. Cashier told me product was not at the store, although it was, after a long search. At the cash, my cashier Sheelagh did not understand the phone number Michaels rewards program to the fullest extent and would not explain what was coming up when we provided our phone numbers. She did not listen to what I asked for, was talking to the cashier whilst scanning my items and provided a bad atmosphere for the customer.

This is the 4th Michael’s I’ve been to in 4 days looking for Jim Holts Distress Paint. Most stores are cutting the selection of stamping, and sadly this one too to make room for cutting machines but this store had a good supply and was by far the best laid out, you could tell the employees masked an effort here in displaying items. Kudos to the manager here, you rock!! Very pleasant experience, I bought more because I could see more of what I wanted. ????

When shopping for holiday decor be sure to go well in advance - it seems as though they start clearance sales three weeks prior to each holiday e.g. Christmas, which results in limited selection. The Oakville location (Dorval & QEW) regularly seems to have a different and better holiday selection.

If you don't know Michael's then you haven't ever been into one. Once you go into any Michael's branch you will get addicted. Yes it maybe on the higher edge of price and you might find the same things outside for a bit of less few dollars, but Michael's guarantees you quality as well as to find everything you need for your arts and crafts project. No more treasure-hunting dollar shops to find all items you need. Michael's for arts and crafts is like what Best Buy is for electronics. You 2ant quality projects head there, but be ready to spend hard earned money.

I love Michaels. This location is always clean and the staff helpful. Frustratingly, nothing on their website or anywhere online mentioned if they were open or closed for thanksgiving day. Only a sign on the door advises they are closed. Very frustrating!

This Michaels is awesome. Always great clearance items and I love the 40% coupons that you can usually find on their site and if you leave them your email. The employees are nice and easy to find if you need them and not overly helpful when you just want to browse. The store is tidy and clean and the children love the summer makers camps that they put on. It's a lovely morning to browse and take a breath while your kids are otherwise occupied. I really enjoy the journaling stuff they have, stickers and washi tape. The paints and markers are great too. Great quality canvas and even yarn. There's a wall of great thick Cotton Gildan T-shirts to play with in all colours and fabric markers. My kids loved making t-shirts.

First time ordering online with Michaels. The receipt emailed to me didn’t have any information. Worst emailed receipt ever, luckily I took a screen shot of the order confirmation. Went for curbside pick up... pulled into the designated spot and called the store. Told them the spot and that the trunk was full so the back window would be rolled down, the employee said ok. We waited 20 mins and nothing. So I called the store again and they said they were busy inside with customers picking up orders inside. Five minutes later a manager came out and said our stuff was in Bin 4. So we had to get out and go up to the store to get our item. The unhelpful employee never told me that either time I called. How would I know that? I guess I need my crystal ball to shop at Michaels. Oh and the curbside pick up even has a picture telling you to pop your trunk. I understand this is new to stores but get your communication in order and don’t waste my time. Won’t be back here again.

Real wonderful staff at this location! I was walking towards the store this morning and a staff member was outside to give a customer their curb side pick up. I was immediately greeted by her which put a smile on my face. Although a smaller store compared to Heartland, it is organized and has a lot of stock. Everything you need for crafting, art and framing. Personally, I find many of the items more expensive compared to other stores or buying online. They almost always have a coupon available so that helps! They don't offer gift receipts (atleast that's what the cashier told me - she was not particularly pleasant) which is a little odd because it can be a great place for gifts for the crafters and artists in your life.

I visit this store two or three times a month. This is a new store, and it's kind of mind-boggling to find your way around, although it doesn't take long to get used to. There's almost always at least a 40% off coupon, and lots of in-store specials, to thrill the heart of every artist and crafter. I go there most often to buy acrylic paint and canvas, but have also made good use of the ready made frames and mats, and the craft aisles for mixed media. Staff are always friendly, and if they can't answer your question, they will find someone who can.

This particular Michael’s is pretty good. Michael’s in general is pretty terrible. For months & months they have listed a particular yarn in a particular colourway on their website - but it’s NEVER IN STOCK. I called the 800 number to find out when this particular colour (Jasper) of this particular yarn (Michael’s house brand, Loops & Threads - Barcelona Big) might come back in stock. The person I spoke with told me to call every week on a Thursday when they get their shipments in. I tried for several weeks and it was never in stock. I called the 800 number again to ask why they keep advertising this yarn on their site when they never have it in stock… And they told me to keep checking for it.

Absolutely fantastic Michaels location! For the most part, the store is always well stocked, very clean and organized, and offers a variety of product. But so do most other Michaels. However, the best part about this Michael's? THE PEOPLE! All employees here are so very helpful and really seem genuinely interested in hearing from makers and hobby crafters. Theresa especially, seems to always be smiley and happy to help, I genuinely enjoy seeing her at the store. I will continue to shop here.

My Mother used to go to this store chain. Was great many years ago. No help in trying on Mother of the Groom dresses. Left me alone when I had asked for help, and when I found a salesperson, they gave me excuses and continued helping someone else. Actually made me feel insecure, and turned her nose up at me. Things like this never bother me, so if this did, you can imagine how disrespectful they were!! I was on a time-crunch, and even if I had found a long dress I wanted, I wouldn't have bought it there due to their attitude and rude actions. Plus, a bit over-priced compared to similar stores, even in the same mall!!

absolutely horrible service. I have been trying to use curb side pick up for the last 2 days. I was finally able to get through and put an order in. They took the money and cancelled my order stating there was something wrong with my payment information. Not sure how there is something wrong with my payment information when they took the money out of my account. They are now telling me that it is going to take 3-7 business days to return the money into my account. This is absolutely ridiculous horrible service for a franchise.

Yes, the store is a crafter's dream, but there are almost no customer service people on the floor to help, and when you do find one, they help you for 5 seconds then run away without even waiting to find out if you got what you need. I go back to this store because it usually has what I need and I use the coupons (full price at Michaels is terrible value for money), but if another store with maybe 50-75% of the selection and great customer service were ever to open, I'd never go back to Michaels.

So upset , I am a cricut crafter , loveee siser material have tons and tons of it so I don’t keep the receipts as I plan on using what I buy . I’m trying to do some “spring clenaing” on my craft supplies as my husband is making me , so I took 10 rolls of vinyl to this location after calling customer service and confirming this would be fine I would just receive a gift card , AND lose 20% . End of the day I have no choice with no receipt, fine better something then nothing and it’s stuff I’m not using . I go in and they refused , which I’m confused why I was told over the phone is was able to , not to mention I have 3 kids with 2 years old and younger . It was already a 40 minute drive and I WAS told no problem . Customer care said yeah it’s not a problem but if the manger refuses its there choice to refund a gift card or not . They did not . The rolls were in perfect condition I had valid photo ID . I am a regular loyal michaels customer . After this experience I don’t think I will be any longer . Very upset and unhappy .

There are always sales or coupons, if you're going there without one of those you probably have a good chunk of disposable income. The staff there are humble folk, friendly and helpful but they never seem to know where things are so I guess 'allegedly helpful' is better suited. I won't name names, however the person working behind the register was very crusty and not pleasant. My wife and were trying to figure out some prices and she seemed very irritated. It was not busy; only one person in line. When I asked her to remove something from my purchase she called for backup at the front. Basically as if to say "you are holding up the line. She was very rude to my wife regarding prices on flowers that all looked the same. Note - if you choose to work in customer service you need to learn to have some patience. If she was having a bad day I get it, as I'm sure people can get to you. Its up to the store to train their employees on how to treat paying customers.

Michael's is always an enjoyable store to shop in. There's a massive selection and tones of options that can likely scratch whatever artist itch you happen to be afflicted by. If you join their online membership they send you coupons in the mail typically ranging from 40-55% off. I pretty much only shop when I receive one. Also, teachers get a 15% discount all the time... but if your buying a lot of stuff for your class, you may want to consider dollar stores.

Lovely selection and always neat things on sale! However, the staff here are absolutely terrible. I have never had a helpful or positive experience. They don't seem to know where any products are (or even WHAT they are for that matter), don't understand promotions and overall seem absent and confused. I had considered it a one off the first couple times that it happened, especially because no one was outright rude. However, since this has happened more than ten different times, I feel that it is safe to say that it is the norm here.

A great place get quality art and craft supplies. They have lots of variety including every day and seasonal items. They often have sales and special discount coupons. But be careful to price shop for more common items such as children's markers. I found children's scented markers to be $2 cheaper at a toy store chain.

Michael's has a lot of craft supplies, but it's all very run of the mill. If you want some interesting supplies, especially beads and buttons then try Queen Street, some of the little shops in Korea Town (Bloor and Bathurst area), and some of the independent shops around the GTA. If you just need something basic it's fine, get the coupon on line and then hope you can use it because they have a lot of rules for their coupons and many items do not qualify.

Katherine from framing was amazing! We came in with a family heirloom painting who’s back was coming off and kept falling every time we hung it up. It was giving my mom such bad anxiety. Katherine use her gun to add hardware to the back, and framer’s tape to secure. She did it all for free, but we’ll be back because, as she pointed out, the acrylic used in place of glass has led to the edges becoming yellow. Thank you so much for my mom’s piece of mind!

I had the worst experience with Michaels in.this location. Cassandra was my cashier and she was full of attitude because I was on the phone with a client. She also lied about Michaels policy on exchanging item as I was returning a Sharpie paint marker to get another one of the exact same brand just different colour with receipt. She said I have to get a refund and then rebuying the same item again when she could just let me exchange with receipt. Her attitude stinks and I would go back to Toronto stores for anything I need from now on. If I could give Michaels Brampton less than 1 star, I would.

This location is incredibly large and full of a variety of craft goodies! I used to love coming here before COVID restrictions but now I just order for curbside pickup. This place has a great assortment of different yarn weights and colours by all kinds of brands! Around the holidays, they also have such nice decorations - whether it be for Easter, Christmas, Halloween, you name it! I loved bringing my children here (pre-COVID) and just venturing around the store, even if there was nothing particularly to buy. The staff is very helpful and super kind - so do not be afraid to ask questions :)

Some paper and a bag? Second asking if they had water proof glue, girl repeated "waterproof glue?" Like it was ridiculous with a look on her face. So I said "ok, do you have a glue section?" Just points at direction. Third had a few things in my basket but some with no pricing. Asked how much for them and decided not to take one of them. She rolled her eyes. I'm not one to complain or comment in reviews but I had to this time. This is really bad for business. This location is not that busy to put an item back on the shelf that didn't have a price in the first place. Just saying.

Good selection of products, had a bit of difficulty finding something we needed but employee walked us to find a product. Cash area is disinfected between customers. Don't like how Micheals makes so many things, like the planners, ineligible for the coupon by marking them as everyday value, but that's a head office decision.

I really like this Michael's. It's a bit of a bigger location so they have good stock of yarn, paints, and copics. The brush/paint/canvas section should have everything you need. While a lot of Michael's locations either have staff who aren't the most informed, or who bother you a lot, I never get pestered here, and whenever I need help there is always someone on staff who can help.

Terrible!! Attempted to buy an Ottilite with a coupon and was denied the use of the coupon based on the lite being "Everyday Value" Perhaps the coupon should say not valid on Ottilites. I wouldn't have driven 45 minutes for the disappointment!!

They charged me for extra items which is never bought, it was closing time and i dropped something on my way to the cashier so i left my stuff with him to pick the item i dropped. By the time i came back he was done scanning everything. I went home and check the receipt because it was a little too much of what i expect. He charged me for few extra items i never bought.

Three stars because I can never find staff to help me out. Plus someone parked inappropriately covering the curb cutout. I brought it to the attention of the staff at the cashiers station as soon as I entered the store and they did not page the driver. I happen to be disabled but the person did not have a handicapped parking permit. So it said to me that my rights and ease of shopping was secondary to the person who parked illegally.

They're the only game in town and it shows in their prices and service. They run a lot of 50 percent or more off sales, but it seems to me the value of the products is heavily marked up from their real value in the first place. Staff sometimes know the answers to questions, and often contradict one another in my experience. A good dollar store will often have very comparable items for much less money.

This doesn’t exactly have to do with this store location, however their customer service. I purchased a frame yesterday ($30). As I was taking it apart, it slipped and literally broke in four! Everything except the glass. I had called the store and was told they couldn’t do anything about it, and to call their customer service line. I did! I pretty much was told I was SOL. Once you leave the store, that’s your problem. Terrible customer service and I honestly was NOT expecting that. I have never had an issue with anything purchased at Michaels, or with these frames, which I had four of. I wasn’t even offered half off, NOTHING! Maybe if they didn’t put so many industrial staples in it, I would have had an easier time trying to take this apart. I’ll just buy my frames elsewhere as I don’t ever want this to happen again! Be careful!

Took my daughter her for her bday party to make slime and a t-shirt the kids had a great time but I was disappointed that they premade the slime and told the kids to add glitter jewels or frickin pom poms. That for 20$ a head... Chuckie cheese or cooking classes all the way

Lovely store. Great sales. There is an excellent customer service presence on the floor...the staff members are not overbearing and allow you to pursue the store without bothering you. They are, however, very knowledgeable and friendly if you do request help. I love the layout of this store. They also seem to receive new items faster than other locations in the GTA and have better clearance.
