Had a great experience with Dunbar Painting! We had most of our apartment painted recently. Coby, Rob and the team was patient, detail oriented and responsive! We even had some unexpected repairs that required additional work and they completed it free of charge! We had a tight timeline for the job to be completed, and required for it to be scheduled around some other contractors and they were flexible and supportive in the accommodation. In the end, they completed the job on time even given the tight schedule and with good quality work! Definitely recommend.

Professional, reliable, honest. Coby is a local guy that takes pride in everything he does and his crew at Dunbar Painting. His standards are high because he is responsible for having lovingly and professionally painted many character houses Vancouver’s westside. They specialize in both interior and exterior residential house painting along with deck refinishing. They can handle minor carpentry repairs such as shingle replacement, new trim and replacing rotting wood, which is sometimes encountered when painting older homes. They use high end products from Benjamin Moore. I used them for interior residential house painting. They provided me with a free written quote and helped me pick the perfect colour paint. Scheduling was easy and the job was hassle-free and the result was wonderful. I will certainly use Dunbar Painting for future work.

Had a walkthrough beforehand with owner Coby, who is extremely knowledgeable and intentional that all the work be of quality (a very good sign!) Steve and his team then came in, made little fuss and yet transformed my apartment in record time! They even detailed some things I forgot to mention! Edit review 5.0 star rating 11/3/2018 Dunbar Painting is an excellent painting company. We have just had them in to paint our upstairs. Two bedrooms and a bathroom as well as a stairwell. We have cathedral ceilings so it was not an easy job. The painters were always on time, efficient and very polite. They did an excellent job and we could not be happier. It was a pleasure to have them in our home. I have, in fact, arranged for them to come back to paint the outside of our house next year. I would highly recommend Coby and his team. Maggie

Dunbar Painting recently completed the sanding and staining of a large cedar deck at the back of our house. We have had the deck for 25 years and it previously had only superficial cleaning/refurbishing. Coby, Kenton and their crew did a very high quality and thorough job of restoring the deck to an almost new state. They were meticulous in ensuring each element of their work was undertaken with the highest quality. We first experienced Dunbar Painting’s high quality work last year when they painted the exterior wooden trim of our house. Again, a high quality job!

As a small boutique strata complex, we were unsure of whether we should be approach a commercial painting Co., or go to one that was more focussed on residential. We ended up vetted many companies, large and small. It became apparent very quickly that Dunbar Painting was different than the rest--in the best possible ways! Right from the very first visit, their staff was keenly attentive and seemed genuinely interested in helping us wrap our heads around the project--they were here to help. Their personalized approach carried through the entire project, from the very first day the ladders came out, to the final walk-through day. Their estimated cost and schedule were just as they estimated; no hidden surprises. The Project Manager checked in regularly and the onsite painters were beyond awesome! They were very attentive to owners, the communication was exceptional, and their focus on "getting it right the first time" was very obvious. There was not one owner who didn't have wonderful things about the crew. We could not be happier with the job performed by Dunbar Painting. They exceeded all professional expectations, and the building looks absolutely fantastic!

We live out side of the Vancouver area and have had nothing but trouble finding reputable local painters who would return our calls let alone show up because of our remote location. We decided to go with Dunbar Painting and pay for the ferry ride and the crew to stay in local accommodation while on the job. So glad we did. Communication was easy, e mails returned promptly. Both the owner Coby and his project manager Cody came over to look at the job and to give us an estimate. The price was higher but the job got done. The crew; 4 of their best guys were a pleasure to work with, very professional, hard working and friendly and got along with each other well. We had used Dunbar Painting earlier for inside work while we were away and knew they do excellent work, show up when they say they will and get the job done as soon as possible. They didn't disappoint on the exterior of the house either and we would highly recommend them.

Coby and his very professional crew repainted our Heritage home after we received a Vancouver Heritage Society grant to restore our home's exterior colour palette to an historically correct colour combination. Dunbar Painting was a pre approved company from the VHS list of painting contractors due to their experience with heritage work. We were VERY pleased with the entire experience and we love how our home looks. Coby has excellent communication skills and he was always available when we had a question or concern. Definitely Five Star Rating! Dunbar Painting’s Team is very professional. They were punctual, courteous, considerate, easy to communicate with, and the quality of work is very satisfactory. We had a short window of time to get our condo painted. They sent a staff of 3 and (accommodatingly) finished in 12 hours, just so we have that one day for the paint to sit and settle before we move in with our furnitures, and our two young kids. This is the first time we have ever hired any company completely based out of online reviews! Worth it! ????
