I am late writing this review as the work was done about six years ago but wanted to share my experience. My job was booked through Costco but there is no longer an affiliation with CP. Tony the estimator was professional and pleasant to deal with but there was a disagreement on whether gutters and downspouts were included in the quote. The designer assigned to us did a great job in finalizing our colour choices. From a scheduling perspective they powerwashed the day before they started painting which in hindsight probably didn not allow enough drying time. The job lead was pleasant to deal with and the crew appeared hard working. The job site was kept clean. My issues are with the quality and longevity of the work. The painting around the front door, porch railings and wood frame windows started to bubble almost immediately after completion. Their contract has a clause exempting any warranty on horizontal painting which was used to preclude any remediation on the bubbling. The bubbling eventually cracked leading to the paint coming off. We choose a deep red as the main colour but CP chose to use a white primer to do some touch up priming where there was bare wood. Needless to say this led to a blotchy final appearance. A dark primer that more closely match the orginal paint colour should have been used to create a more uniform base. The paint on the south side of the house has come off in many areas. This did not happen with previous paint jobs. This started more than a year ago. In performing the work they removed the hardware holding the downspouts. They were suppose to return to reattach them but never did. They painted over the gate hardware and electrical outlet rendering them inoperable. Lastly in order to paint the dormers on the roof they used some sort of platform to stand on. This platform was attached or nailed into the roof shingles. This left about two dozen holes in our roof which they filled with silicone. There is now a risk to water leakage. I have seen other painters use safety harnesses while on roofs.

The guys at Certapro did a wonderful job on the exterior of my house. From Michael's first contact with me and walking me through my options, to the “above and beyond the call of duty” painting that Gabe, Gabe, and Tyler completed, the experience was excellent. I know how important surface preparation is for a good-looking and lasting paint job and they were wonderfully thorough, sanding 100 years of paint down to bare wood in some places. The final paint job is magnificent and has been commented on by friends and passersby. The guys were also a pleasure to work with. Michael focused on what I wanted rather than trying to sell me something. The painters were consistently pleasant, dedicated to doing a great job, and responsive to all of my requests. Beyond that, it was a difficult job technically (unusual & mixed surfaces, difficult spaces to access, and a tricolor paint job) but they nonetheless managed everything well. Finally, the price was very reasonable for the hi-quality job that was done. I'm thrilled with what Certapro delivered.

They painted our house 11 years ago and we were already very satisfied. This time they did it again, Tomas Maratka and his whole team did a fantastic job! This was our first time hiring painters and although they completed our job quickly and within the timeframe that we requested, we learned a few lessons from this experience. They quoted us for 2 coats of paint for our living room, while other companies said we would need 3 coats. CertaPro's quote was therefore, the lowest of all the ones we received, however, when the painter started working he realized that he needed to do 3 coats in the living room and so suddenly our "low" quote jumped up by a few hundred dollars at the last minute and we had no choice by to pay the additional hourly rate. Also, we missed a lot of detail during the final walk through because the walls looked great and so I didn't really look anywhere else (lesson learned!). It was only after we moved into the space that we noticed how messy things were from the paint job. There was paint on several of the door knobs, paint in the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink, on all of the faucet handles, paint on the countertop, and a few items that were left out and I guess not covered by a cloth, had drips of paint on them. There were several paint drips on the floor as well. It all washed off, of course, but it was just frustrating to have to do a big clean up after paying the price that we did. Maybe this is typical for any paint company, but it did surprise me the amount of clean up we had to do.

The site was cleaned well at the completion of the work. Our experience with CertaPro Painters was framed by professionalism. Setting up our initial estimation meeting was simple through their website, and communication between us was regular so details were clarified throughout the process. From our first meeting with Dave, we appreciated his thoroughness in answering our questions and his amiable nature. Our site supervisor, Niko, was friendly and informative. He went above and beyond for us, and we're pleased with the results. The only really notable downside was that the pressure washing was not done as thoroughly as it should have been. Niko noticed this as well and had to do extra work to compensate. As first time home-owners, it was an overall really good experience -- everyone we made contact with was kind and made the experience far less scary than we had feared. (Ideally I'd give it a 4.5/5, but I cannot give half-stars.)

Tomas crew was really nice. They stained the exterior cedar siding of my new LWH. They were very professional and attentive. I had a colour in mind and at first they came with a stain that was a bit darker but he kindly tried it in some left over cedar pieces and we went over the mix until we reach the colour we wanted. They were very patient. The job per se went smoothly, they were always on time, they cleaned up after themselves. We had just done the landscape/hardscape and nothing was stained or spoiled. We engaged CertaPro to paint the bedroom walls of our basement suite. We were very happy that we engaged CertaPro for our painting project for several reasons: - CertaPro takes the time to come out to see the site to provide an estimate. Greg was very knowledgeable and he gave us a lot of advice based on our situation which allowed us to select the services that was best suited to our needs. He also recommended the paint color which met our needs and turned out beautiful. This also allowed us to save money at the end of the day. - Greg also provided suggestions and recommendations to us for our stucco wall on the outside of the home which was beyond the scope of our initial request so we really appreciated that he took the time to give us advice and cared about us as a customer. - CertaPro was able to get the painting job complete within the next couple of days after Greg came onsite which was very quick and met our short timeline. - Most importantly, the painter did a great job. The bedrooms looked much brighter and all the dents in the walls were well patched. The rooms also did not have that "fresh paint" smell which was important for health reasons. - I would recommend CertaPro and would hire them again for future projects.

The estimator came to my house on time and spent an hour with me discussing what kind of paint job I wanted for my house. I liked that it didn't feel rushed. If you are looking to paint your house and trying to choose a company, I would highly recommend CertaPro. From the initial meeting to the final product, the experience was exceptionally good. The manager answered any and all questions that we had and was able to adjust the timeline to meet our needs. Office staff also gave great support in coordinating the project. Preparation was conducted professionally with the crew showing up exactly when they said they would and made sure at the end of the day there was no debris. As avid gardeners, no plant lost its life. Funny how smart lip service this guy does...of course I am not on your database as I would never hire you for number of lies you provide to your customers....a nice presentation but not good service. Like many others they promise the best painters and best crew but in reality I've seen their work and it's only a lip service in my view. I know one of their last jobs they did and they wanted the house owner to change their review to provide a discount. Well this is called black mail ...therefore, not an honest company in my view. I dare Mike to say different as he was email on this and also they be other evidence .....so don't try to change this review's opinion as it is true. We are so happy that we chose Vancouver CertaPro for the exterior painting of our 1927 house. Lots of challenges to this project as there are many old wood windows and lots of wood trim so lots of quality prep work needed. Working with the CertaPro team was certainly a five star experience from beginning to end. At the beginning of our project Dexter (our estimator) and Mat (our pressure washer) were great to deal with. Nikki (the project coordinator) kept us fully informed about the projected start date of the job. Most importantly our actual painters, Karol and Mira, were very experienced and totally professional often working late into the day to get the painting done on schedule. They were very careful with my wife's precious garden as well and cleaned up so well at project's end that you would never know they had been there. The house looks wonderful and I would recommend the whole team most highly.

We are really happy with the work from CertaPro. The quote was reasonable, with no surprises, and we have a couple of high peaks that the team mastered. The job was completed during very sunny days. When the clouds came in we noticed a few areas where touch ups were needed. The team returned promptly without a fuss. The colour consultant that was included in the package was also skilled and helped us make a couple of decisions we would not have otherwise. We are thrilled with the colours. We will be using CertaPro again for future projects, and have already recommended them to others.

Just like to drop a few lines about how pleased i was with the work done by Certapro painters, David dropped by to look at the exterior painting my house needed and gave me the detailed estimate saying when the work would be done and how long it would take. When the crew showed up they they really impressed me with the amount of prep work they did before the painting started and even made small repairs on old fascia boards at the very top of the house. I was told by other painters the area was to difficult, certapro showed up with a great crew did a fantastic job at a price that was more than fair. Working with CertaPro on my condo painting project was the right decision. From the call for a quotation to having a date scheduled for the painting to start was very professional, they all listened to me to ensure they were meeting my expectation and timelines. The CertaPro painting team led by Karol were superb. They were punctual, they asked where we wanted them to start, once they understood, they brought up their supplies and equipment, covered everything and started working immediately. Thru-out the painting process, Karol kept us posted on the progress, they finished when we wanted them to finish. They made excellent progress the first day. The second day was as good as the first day, they checked their work from the day before, to ensure no missed spots. They updated us on the progress and then asked if they could work longer to complete the paint job that night. When we arrived, we did a complete walk thru, everything was fantastic, Karol and team did a great job painting and cleaning up and mos important making sure that we were satisfied with the work. Both my wife and I was very pleased with the work, the professionalism, the care they took, and most importantly the pride they took in doing the best job they could. The overall customer service from CertaPro of Vancouver was fantastic, Micheal, Nikki and paint team led by Karol were great. I highly recommend this company to do your painting project. We had our Strata building painted by CertaPro Painters. I was really happy with the job that they did but then there was some issue's with the caulking on the windows. The previous painting company we had, used silicone on the windows so the new caulking didn't adhere. CertaPro came back on Wednesday and did an excellent job of redoing all the windows! They did a awesome job of fixing a problem that I wasn't expecting. It is great to find a company that has such a great work ethic. I am extremely pleased at the level of service and quality of workmanship of the CertaPro crew led by Tomas. We had a considerable amount of painting to do both inside and outside our home. Though the owner of the franchise had earlier been to our home to review the work and set a price, Tomas also came the day before the job was to start to ensure that he understood what was required. These guys are very good, reasonably priced, and helpful. They did the outside of our house a couple of years ago and we brought them back to do some interior rooms when we were thinking of selling. They sent a team of painters on very short notice and the guys did a great job and were super friendly. agreed to paint the basement hall. Turned out the laundry room was the same colour and a little banged up, the guys just did a quick once over in the laundry room, no charge. Anything needed to make the job look better, they did it. Good communication with Mike the boss; any questions I called him, and he was right on it.
