Fire Felicia. Its clear this person doesn't care about the well being of her staff and only cares about making as much money as possible all while using and abusing their staff until injuries pile up. Even when hurting and injured, they are told to suck it up and just do the job. Just another cog in the machine.
This place will turn around a shoot the friendliest smile while eyeing up your wallet all the while treating their staff with utter contempt. I was there picking up some lumber the one day and I waited 10 minutes in their yard before I finally saw somebody. Turns out all their staff was out doing deliveries and left a couple guys in the yard to do everything else. The one yard guy I was chatting with was friendly enough but seems to think they are severely under staffed for all the work they keep piling up, but it seems the company has no interest in finding extra help. Also, apparently they don't get breaks? Isn't that a violation of worker rights?
The staff itself was friendly enough to me and seemed knowledgeable enough but I hear whispers of complications from upper management. I want this store to be the best it can possibly be, but the one they call Felicia doesn't seem to have the staffs general interest in mind and the general talk is staff largely feel the same, I won't name names out of fear somebody might lose their job. It is noticeable some days, staff can't keep up, things are disorganized and often straight up messy and they try, I see them trying to put stuff away but you can only get so much done when its only 2 guys trying to do everything. The store will bend over backwards for just about any customer but won't give any leeway with their own staff it seems. There just seems to be very poor communication between store management and company management and the staff is rightfully frustrated when upper management doesn't give two hoots about them and only cares about making money.
Ask yourself this. Would you haul X amount of drywall sheets into a basement, every day all day in 30 above heat for $14/H? Anybody looking for work, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. I've know people who work there and their stories aren't always pleasant. You would be better off working at Rona, they don't carry drywall, they just drop it and leave. The problem seems to revolve around one person but because that person who's in position of power, absolutely nothing will come of it and its a shame. I Don't mind giving them my business but I just wish the staff weren't so miserable at their own job.
